Elzick Phillips, 90, of Lake City, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at Lake City Health Care Center.
Mr. Phillips is survived by two sons, James Ray Phillips of Ravenna, Ohio, and Clyde Phillips and his wife, Betty, of Twinsburg, Ohio; and a sister, Laura Arms of Sunbright.
The funeral was to be held at 11 this morning, May 18, at New Hope Baptist Church in Lake City with the Rev. George Miller officiating. Burial was to follow at Leach cemetery in Lake City.

Genevieve B. Turnbill
Retired seamstress

Genevieve Blalock Turnbill, 75, of Lake City, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Turnbill was a retired seamstress.
She was born in Stoney Fork, Tenn., on July 30, 1922, the daughter of Bessie and Benjamin Blalock. She was a Baptist.
She was the widow of Clyde Turnbill.
Mrs. Turnbill is survived by a daughter, Gaye Williams and her husband, Clifford, of Sweetwater; and three sons, Desmond Grey and his wife, Sylvia, Keith Turnbill and his wife, Pam, all of Lake City, and Talley Walker and his wife, Phyllis, of Spring City.
She is also survived by four sisters, Reba Elliott and her husband, Carl, of Norris, Zella Mae Stewart and her husband, Condy, of Lake City, Imogene McCulley and her husband, Audry, of LaFollette, and Edna Sharp and her husband, Clyde, of Clinton; a brother, Ed Blalock and his wife, Dean, of Elk Valley; and by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Larry Monday of Lake City was Mrs. Turnbill's fiance.
Two other brothers, Clyde Blalock and Clifford Blalock, died earlier.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Leach cemetery in Lake City with the Rev. James M. Grace officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, April 17, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City.
Max R. Everett
Former cab driver

Max R. Everett, 62, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, July 5, 1998, at his home.
Mr. Everett drove a cab in Oak Ridge for several years and he had also been employed by Scott Gas Co. He enjoyed gardening, the family said.
He was the son of Newman and Mildred Everett, now deceased.
Mr. Everett is survived by his wife, Barbara Everett; a daughter, Debbie Bratcher, and her husband, Mark, of Oliver Springs; two grandchildren, Mark and Adam Bratcher of Oliver Springs; and a niece, Patricia Brock of Oliver Springs.
A sister, Doris Campbell, died earlier.
The funeral was to be held at 11 this morning, July 8, in the chapel of McCarty-Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Copeland officiating.
Burial was at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family received friends Tuesday night at the funeral home.
Lawrence D. Pack
Retired K-25 welder

Lawrence Douglas "L.D." Pack, 72, of Oak Ridge, died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Pack had retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems as a welder at the Oak Ridge K-25 Site. He began his employment at K-25 when it was managed by Union Carbide Nuclear Division.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was an avid fisherman until becoming ill.
Mr. Pack is survived by three daughters, Jean Carr, Jo Ann Farmer and Denise Pack; seven grandchildren, Sean and Aaron Russell, Greg and Brad Huling, Lisa Ridenour, Linda McGinnis and Heather Disney; his mother, Bonnie Pack; and by a great-grandson, three brothers, eight sisters and several nieces and nephews.
His father, Jesse James Pack, and another sister and brother all died earlier.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, May 13, in the Cumberland Chapel of McCarty-Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave., Knoxville. The Rev. Robert Burkhart and the Rev. Glen Selvage will officiate.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at Tennessee Veterans cemetery in Knoxville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
John David Broyles
Former Radio Shack manager

John David Broyles, 29, of Wartburg, died Thursday, May 14, 1998, at Roane Medical Center in Harriman of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Broyles had been employed with Radio Shack Inc. for 10 years and formerly managed the Oak Ridge store for four years. He was a member of Radio Shack's Presidential Council.
Born on Sept. 15, 1968, Mr. Broyles was a 1986 graduate of Joplin, Mo., High School and was a member of its soccer and bowling teams.
He had attended Missouri Southern State College in Joplin and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, Mo. He enjoyed camping and had been honored as an Eagle Scout.
He had lived in Tennessee for the past 10 years.
Mr. Broyles is survived by his wife, Tracy Rose Broyles; his mother, Sue Layton and her husband, Bruce Layton, of Diamond, Mo.; and his father, Jimmy C. Broyles of Powell.
The funeral was held Saturday, May 16, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Steve McDonald officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date at the cemetery at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City.
Troy Shawn Bryan

Troy Shawn Bryan, 27, of Powell, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville.
Mr. Bryan was born in Detroit, Mich., on July 11, 1970. He was a graduate of Clinton High School.
He was employed as a mobile home service repairman.
Mr. Bryan is survived by his parents, Norman L. and Kay D. Rivard Bryan of Powell; a daughter, Tori Savanna Bryan, and her mother, Melissa Pickett, both of Heiskell; four brothers, John E. Bryan of Knoxville and Blake M. Bryan, Brad M. Bryan and Wayne L. Bryan, all of Powell; a niece, Brooke H. Bryan of Knoxville; a nephew, Matthew L. Bryan of Powell; and by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His grandparents, Norman L. and Irene Bryan, died earlier.
A memorial service is planned at a later date.

Mr. Elmes was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie S. Elmes; two daughters, Karen Mendez and Virginia Mills; two sons, Robert Elmes Jr. and Walter Elmes; and nine grandchildren, Robert Elmes III, Cathy Elmes, Linda Elmes, Christina Elmes, Armand Mendez, Phillip Mendez, Uvalde Mendez, Ronald Mills and Robert Mills.

Estella Patricia "Patty" Miller, 60, of Oliver Springs, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Fairview Baptist Church of Oliver Springs.
She was born in Harriman on Oct. 8, 1937, the daughter of Fred and Lena Ollis Coker, both now deceased. She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and being with people.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband of 46 years, Willis "Fox" Miller; two daughters, Sue Copeland and her husband, Joe, of Clinton, and Kay Butler and her husband, Leon, of Oliver Springs; and two sons, Al Miller and his wife, Tammy, and Tommy Miller and his wife, Mona, all of Oliver Springs.
She is also survived by three sisters, Beulah Mae Wilson and Wilma Kubas and her husband, Frank, all of Harriman, and Gail Nelson and her husband, Clarence, of Oliver Springs; a brother, Dilbert Coker of Oak Ridge; and nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Oran Miller and Lola Prater, both of Oliver Springs, and Novella Johnson of Morristown; a brother-in-law, Everett Miller of Oliver Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Sunday, May 17, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Don Whited and the Rev. Rick Duncan officiating.
Burial followed at New Fairview Baptist Church cemetery.

Eugene Orick, 75, of 120 Colonial Heights, LaFollette, died Friday, May 15, 1998, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Orick was retired from General Motors Corp.
He was the son of William and Ruthie Hodge Orick, both now deceased. He was a member of the Church of God.
Mr. Orick is survived by a daughter, Sandra West of LaFollette; a son, Eddie Orick and his wife, Debbie, of Kennesaw, Ga.; three sisters, Imogene Baker of Lake City and Gerry Peters and Mildred Richardson, both of LaFollette; and two brothers, the Rev. Ernest Orick of LaFollette and Everett Orick of Knoxville.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, Gregory Suttles, Stacie Orick and Marc Orick, all of Georgia, and Tim Suttles and Sara West, both of LaFollette; three great-grandchildren, Kevin and Amanda Suttles and Ashton Orick, all of Georgia; and by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
His wife, Juanita Orick, died earlier.
The funeral was held Sunday night, May 17, at LaFollette Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth Stephens and the Rev. Paul Heatherly officiating.
A graveside service was to be held at 11 this morning, May 18, at Campbell Memorial Gardens.

Rosa Lee Randolph, 79, of Clinton, died Saturday, May 16, 1998, at Windwood Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clinton.
Mrs. Randolph was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Clinton.
She was born in Harlan County, Ky., on Nov. 9, 1918, the daughter of Arthur and Eva Mae Idles Dison, both now deceased.
She was the widow of Owen B. Randoph.
Mrs. Randolph is survived by a sister, Beulah Moore of Harlan, Ky.; and by several nieces and nephews.
Doug and Delores Worley and Sam and Eula Helton, all of Clinton, were considered special friends.
A sister, Aileen Willis, and three brothers, Charlie Dison, Clarence Dison and Earl Dison, died earlier.
A graveside service was to be held at 1 this afternoon, May 18, at Sunset cemetery in Clinton.
