She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard (Bill) Creech, Sr.; and her parents, Henry and Pauline Morris; and a brother, Johnny Morris. Survivors: daughter and son in law, Vicki Shannon Creech and Sid Kemp; son and daughter in law, Chip and Kim Creech, Jr.; sister and brother in law, Wanda and Bill Keesling; granddaughters, Hannah Kathleen and Haley Jo Creech; step granddaughters. Whitney and Brandi Kemp; nieces, Sherry Wilson and Betty Massey; nephew, John Morris, Jr.; special friends, Joe and Pat Miller, and Jean and the late Jim Hobbs; as well as many, many friends at the Walker Springs Wal Mart Store. CULP, GLADYS IRENE - 82, Oak Ridge, died on Saturday, 10-28-2000 at Fort Sander's Park West Hospital. Born on 11-3-1917 in Chilton Co., Ala. to parents, John T. and Mary Elizabeth Foshee Turner. A homemaker. Came to Oak Ridge in 1945, coming from Chilton Co., Ala. Member of Central Baptist Church. Hobbies included gardening, growing flowers, fishing, and enjoying her grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Julius "J.P." Culp, to whom she had been married for 60 years; 4 brothers and 1 sister; grandchild, Anna Lisa Hodges. Survivors include: sons, Jimmy R. Culp and wife, Karen, Springfield, Ohio; daughter, Jeanette Hodges and husband, Harry, Jefferson City, Tenn.; sister, Juanita Lowry, Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Scott E. Hodges and wife, Ami, of Missoula, Mont., Julia Matthews and husband, Larry, Talbott, Tenn., Joseph R. Culp and wife, Diane, Maple Valley, Wash., Laurie Blair and husband, Patrick, Fishers, Ind.; great grandchildren, Lindy Elizabeth & Turner Lynn Matthews, Casey Allison and Taylor Leigh Anne Blair, Rachel Elizabeth Culp; several nieces and nephews. GOFORTH, MRS. JENNIE LOUISE - age 87, of Dandridge, passed away Friday morning, October 27, 2000, at her home, following a brief illness. Mrs. Goforth was a faithful member of the McCampbells Chapel United Methodist Church for more than 60 years and was the widow of the late John L. Goforth, who was former sheriff of Jefferson County. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Goldie Smith and Gladys Dail and brothers, Fred Scalf, Carlysle Scalf, and Carl Scalf, Jr. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, October 31, 2000, at the McCampbells Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery, Asheville Hwy., with Rev. Chuck Nicholson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening, October 30, 2000, at the funeral home. HUNT, MILDRED LOUISE - age 89, of Knoxville, passed away October 28, 2000, at NHC Nursing Home. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Hunt of Knoxville. Survived by sister in law, Virginia L. Hunt of Knoxville; 2 brothers-in-law, and wives, Edward E. Hunt and wife, Kathryn of Sevierville, W.D. Hunt and wife, Peggy of Knoxville; 5 cousins, Louise Martin of Powell, Lola Berry of Halls, Doris Smith of Powell, Jack Berney of Powell, and Gene Berney of Heiskell; several cousins, nieces, and nephews in Ga. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Monday at the main entrance to Greenwood cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Dudley Cockrum officiating. Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.

HUSKEY, JAMES D. - age 66, of Powell, passed away Friday, October 27, 2000, at Baptist Hospital. He was retired from the Knoxville Fire Dept., and a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. Survivors include his wife, Wanda F. Huskey; sons and daughters in law, David and Alicia Huskey, James S. and Cathy Huskey, and Randal and Misty Huskey; grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Kyle, Sallie, and Seth; sister, Pat Pinder; special brothers and sisters in law, Glenn and Tina Collins, and Ada Collins and Robert Bell; special cat, Nikko; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Huskey officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at noon Tuesday to go to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 1 p.m. interment icon service. Members of the Knoxville Fire Dept. will serve as pallbearers and will render honors under the direction of James Stephens. IRWIN, MR. PAUL - age 73, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away 2:42 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, Ind. He was born June 6, 1927 in Union County, Tenn. the son of the late Ross and Betty (Stiner) Irwin. He was a member of Kokomo Missionary Baptist Church, New London Lodge #283 F&AM and the York Rite; US Army veteran of the Korean War; he was a retired farmer and also a retired employee of Delco Electronics with 27 years of service and was a member of U.A.W. Local #292. Preceded in death by brothers, Homer, Nob and Haul Irwin. Survivors: wife, June S. (Shoffner) Irwin of Kokomo, Ind.; brothers and sisters in law, Ted and Eva Nell Shoffner, Russiaville, Ind., Gene and Wilda Shoffner, Miami, Ind., Ruth Shoffner, Rutledge, Veda Cole, Sharps Chapel, Letha Simmons, Tipton, Ind.; two nephews and one niece. KHATTABI, PAULA MARLENE WOLD - age 41, formerly of Ettrick, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, October 27, 2000, in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Wold. Paula is survived by her husband, Saad Khattabi and her children, Michael and Aaron, all of Knoxville. She is also survived by her mother and step father, Janice and Gary Davidson of Ettrick, Wis.; her sister, Amy Wold of Minneapolis, Minn. and her brother, Steven Wold of Holmen, Wis. LEWELLYN, AUDREY JANE BALLARD - age 82, of South Knoxville, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2000, at her home. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and an active member of the South Knoxville Senior Citizens Club. Retired from Camel Manufacturing Company and U.T. Hospital. LUEDTKE, NORMAN HERMAN - age 88, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 28, 2000, at Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, a World War II Army Air Force Veteran and a professional surveyor and cartographer in Kingston, N.Y., as well as a stained glass artist. He is preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Nickerson Luedtke. Survived by his loving family, sons and daughters-in-law, Nile and Cheryl Luedtke of Knoxville, Todd and Janet Luedtke of Shanghai, China; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Paul Muench of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Seth, Jennifer and Caitlyn Luedtke, Andrew and Joy Luedtke, Rhett and Julie Luedtke, DeAnna Luedtke, Noel and Paul Rupprecht, Caroline and John Cleland, Samuel, Benjamin and John Muench; great-grandchildren, Sierra Luedtke, Brittany Rupprecht and Isaac Luedtke. MOORE, ATLAS MOFFETTE - age 85, of Jamestown, Tenn., passed away Friday, October 27, 2000, at the Fentress Co. Hospital. She was preceded in death by husband, Harry Moore; parents, John and Ruth Moffette; son, Danny; daughter, Shirley; one granddaughter; five brothers and two sisters. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, James and Pauline Thayer of Jamestown; daughters and sons-in-law, Fayette and H.M. Phillips of Andersonville, Tenn., Joyce and Bob Webster of Georgetown, Texas; step daughters, Diana Szaley of Michigan, Louise Claypool of Newcomerstown, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and two 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Anna Mae Richardson of LaFollette, and a host of friends and relatives. NEAL, VERNON G. - age 58, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2000, at his residence. He was born on April 4, 1942, and is the son of the late Howard Neal and Ruth (Beal) Neal. Also preceded in death by brothers, Frank, Billy, Sammuel. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. In loving memory of my darling husband and precious father to his children. Survivors, his loving wife, Juliana M. Neal; three step daughters, Julie Jr., Teresa and Jennifer; two step sons, Max and Francis; sisters, Frances and Emaline; brothers, Bruce, Clarence and Dan, and many other relatives and friends of the family. O'DELL, JOHN CLARENCE - age 39, of Knoxville, died Saturday, October 28, 2000, at U.T. Medical Center. He attended Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church and was Superintendent at Three Ridges Golf Course. Survivors: wife, Julie O'Dell; son, Tyler O'Dell; parents, Clarence and Betty O'Dell of Greenville, S.C.; sister, Donna Byers of Greenwood, S.C.; brother, Jeremy O'Dell of Pittsburg, Penn.; mother-in-law, Mary Gray; father-in-law, Bob Gray, both of Knoxville. PERRY, OPAL J. - age 58, of David, Fla., passed away Saturday, October 28, 2000. She came to S. Florida in 1965 from Knoxville. She loved traveling, bowling, and playing slot machines. She is survived by her husband, Cliff, her children, French Wilson, Dean Wilson, Bill Wilcox, Susan Thornton, Cliff Perry Jr., Laurie Perry and Angela Thompson, her brothers, Martin "Red" Ridings, Buford Ridings, Bobby Ridings and Jerry Ridings, her sisters, Tootsie Price, Darlene Gore and Doris Crowell and 10 grandchildren. SMITH, RUTH HAGGARD - age 79, of Knoxville, passed away Friday evening October 27, 2000, at Fort Sanders Parkwest. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #320, and a member of Hines Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith; a son, Allen Smith; her parents, Wallace and Bertie Haggard; and five brothers. She is survived by her loving family, sons and daughters in law, Wallace and Linda Smith, Ken and Brenda Smith, and Jeff and Marty (Robin) Smith, all of Knoxville; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. WHITE, LILLIE MAE - 78, passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Ft. Sanders Hospital. She was born on May 15, 1922, the daughter of the late John Murr and Mary Murr. Lillie is also preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Murr and one daughter, Mary Miller. Lillie was a member of the Zion Methodist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Parks and her husband David of Knoxville, Martha Thornhill and her husband Rick of Sevier County, Juanita Bright of Knoxville and Evelyn Abbott of California; one son, James White, also of Knoxville; two sisters, Josephine Murr of Nashville and Hedy Ward of Knoxville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews and friends of the family. WHITEHEAD, REV. CLYDE F. - age 76, of Maryville, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2000, at Baptist Hospital. He was a Graduate of Everett High School, Carson Newman College, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as Pastor of the following churches: Bethel Baptist Church in Townsend, Enon Chapel Baptist Church in Jacksonville, N.C., Piney Grove Baptist Church in Maryville, South Albemarle Baptist Church in Albemarle, N.C., Grace Memorial Church in Alcoa, Tenn. He was a current member of East Maryville Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a medic. After retiring, he published the book, Israel vs. Israel. Preceded in death by parents, Burl and Mellie Whitehead; brother, Earl Whitehead; sister, Georgia Whitehead. Survivors include wife, Carleen Stephens Whitehead; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Philip Whitehead and wife Susan of Shelbyville, Ky.; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Boling of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Parsons and husband David of Knoxville; grandchildren, Stephen, Paul, Ross, Keith, Jessica, Ryan and Molly; brother, Don Whitehead of Melbourne, Fla.; sisters, Margaret Rhyne and Evelyn Rutherford, both of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.
