Member of Central Baptist Church of Ft. City.
She was preceded in death by parents, Charlie Marcus and Georgia Charles Scott; husband, Elmer P. Castleberry; sisters Effie Beggs, Neva Hatfield, Gara Parham; brothers, Leroy Scott and Clyde Scott.

Survived by two special nieces and spouses, Mary Sue Beggs Miller and Ed of Knoxville, and Martha (Marty) Beggs Jenkins and Don of Union City, GA; great nephews and spouses, Dan and Kim Miller of Knoxville, Doug and Julie Jenkins of Cumming, GA and Ricky and Marcia Jenkins of Newnan, GA; great, great nieces and nephews, Jackson, Natalie and Megan Miller, Ellie Jenkins, Tayler, Brittany and Jacob Colt Jenkins; several other nieces and nephews.
Service
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the first floor nurses and staff at Hillcrest for the loving care they provided to our aunt for the past three years.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 pm on Sunday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 3 pm in the chapel with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating.

Stalcup, Franklin D., age 56, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at the Lake City Health Care Center after a lengthy battle with liver disease.
Preceded in death by his parents, George A. and Zona M. Stalcup; sisters, Georgia Mae and Ennis Laverne Stalcup
Survivors
Son: Mark A. Stalcup; stepson, Greg McCarter; stepdaughters, Robin Park and Debbie McCarter, all of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law, J.C. and Mary Stalcup of Seymour; sisters and brothers-in-law, Veanna and Bob Rider of Elyria, Ohio, Mamie and Lynn Newcombe, Reba and Mayford Myers, Elsie and Ray Harrell, Polly and Reece Maples, Lenell and J.R. Wilsey, all of Knoxville.
Franklin also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Service
Franklin requested that his body be cremated and that no visitation be held.
A private family service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where his remains will be placed.
Franklin's family wishes to thank Hugh and Ella Welch, a very special uncle and aunt, for their love and support through his illness.
His family would also like to extend their deepest heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff on the South wing at the Lake City Health Care Center for making his last days so very peaceful.

Davis, Leroy (Buddy), age 74 of South Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 2, 2008.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He served with the US Army stationed in Korea.
He worked for Tanner’s AMOCO for many years.
Preceded in death by parents Ollie and Madgie Davis; sister Janet Donelson.
Survivors
Survived by sisters and brother in laws Sylvia and JB Caylor, Joan and Howard Griggs, and sister Iva Tanner; Selma and Bill Lundy; Carol and Ernie Hutton, lots of nieces and nephews; and special friend Mike Hall.

Service will be in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home on Thursday at 7:00 PM with Rev. J.B. Caylor officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7 prior to the service.
Family and friends will meet on Friday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Cemetery
for the interment.
Jeremy Frye

Frye, Jeremy Dwayne –age 26, of South Knoxville, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, December 3, 2008.
Jeremy was a graduate of South-Doyle High School Class of 2001 and attended the University of Tennessee.
He was a loyal and faithful member and staff member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and was also employed by Lamar Dunn and Associates.
Jeremy was an avid hiker, collector, camper and enjoyed photography.
The 2008 production of the Sevier Heights Baptist Church Living Christmas Tree will be dedicated to celebrate the life of Jeremy Frye.
Jeremy had a very sweet, kind, loving spirit and loved to serve the Lord.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Milton and Moqueta Frye, William E. Singleton and aunt, Elizabeth Singleton Loveday.
Survivors
Survivors include parents, Dwayne and Ramona Frye; brothers, Josh and wife, Rachel Frye, Jonathan Frye and Jordan Frye; grandmother, Joyce Singleton; and numerous other family members and dear friends.
Service
Funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, December 5, 2008 at Sevier Heights Baptist Church, with Dr. Hollie Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at Sevier Heights Baptist Church.
Family and friends will meet at Sevier Heights Baptist Church at 9:00 AM Saturday and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery
for a 10:00 AM interment
service.

George W. Parks, Jr.

Parks, Jr., George W. – age 81, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008.
George was a veteran of the United States Army and after returning home he began his career with KUB.
He was there 23 years before being named manager of Knox Chapman Utility District.
After 27 years as manager, he retired in 1998, but continued to serve as a commissioner until October of this year.
He served on the Board of the Tennessee Association of Utility Districts from 1972 until 2004, serving 2 years as president.
He also served as a Tennessee delegate to the National Rural Water Association.
George was a member of South Knoxville Lodge #769 F&AM for 50 years.
Preceded in death by parents, George W. and Hattie Parks; brothers, L.W. and Henry Parks; and nephew, Jim Parks.
Survivors
He is survived by wife of 58 years, Helen S. Parks; daughters, Ginger Scott and Jill Parks; grandson, Tyler Scott; sister, Katherine Womble of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Aleen Parks and Lucille Parks Garren; special niece, Sheila Dunson and many more nieces and nephews.
Service
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday at South Knoxville Church of God with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM, Rev. Robert Branch officiating.

Burnett, Melba Godwin –age 68 of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14, 2009.
She was a very dedicated mother and grandmother, a strong Christian, an avid reader and will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces and nephews, and many friends including those at DeRoyal where she worked for 16 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Mac and Bernice Godwin; husband, Dewey Burnett; sister-in-law, Donna Moyer and grandson-in-law, Ricky Lawson.

Member of the Childress Street Mission for many years.
She loved to attend church and sing until she became ill.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Townsend and her precious sons, James, Bobby and Harrison.
