She is preceded in death by parents, Ruth and Robert L. Mingle, Sr.; husband, James. E. Ritchie; brother, Robert L. Mingle, Jr. and stepdaughter, Marie Bryant.

Sons, Roger L. Ritchie of Knoxville, James G. Ritchie and wife, Eden of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jerry L. Ritchie of Hazard, Kentucky; grandson, Matthew Ritchie of Clinton and step-granddaughter, Amber Bryant.

Cox, Mary, age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2003 at Baptist Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Baptist Hospital. Preceded in death by infant daughter; sister, Bertha Richards; parents, John and Martha Williams.

Daughters, Pat Greene and husband, Jim, Teresa Long, all of Knoxville; son, Terry Long of Cape Canaveral, Florida; grandchildren, Elizabeth Greene, Andrew, Nicholas and Thomas Long; brothers, Johnnie Williams and Charles Williams; lifelong friend, Lela Monroe. Rose, Kathryn Hankins, age 80, of South Knoxville, born icon April 28, 1924, passed away after a long illness at 6:20 AM Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at Baptist Hospital. Preceded in death by husband, Paul Cowan Rose; parents, Swan and Cynthia Hankins. She was a member of Forest Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She was a retired payroll clerk at Camel Manufacturing.

Special cousins, Howard and Barbara Hawkins, Darris and Gail Hawkins, Karen Hawkins Selph; special friends, Jack, Richard, Linda Koke and Betty Gorman.

Preceded in death by husband, Ben Baker; brothers, Robert and Ernest Nelson; sisters, Annie Huskey and Emma Lee Loveday; and nephew, Kenneth Loveday.

Cameron, Ronald Doyle, age 64 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2004 at U.T. Hospital after a long illness. He attended Lake Forest Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA. He was preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don H. Cameron.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of Powell Lodge #582 F&AM and a Royal Arch Mason. Mr. Thomas was a retired bookkeeper with Trailers Inc. He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Flossie Smith Thomas; 2 sisters, Thelma and Nellie Thomas; brothers, B.F. and Claude Thomas.

Wife of 47 years, Winnie Winburn Thomas; son Charles David Thomas and wife, Lori of Soddy Daisy, TN; granddaughters, Michelle Thomas, Raleigh, NC, Nikki Mauldin, Benson, NC; sister, Marilyn Atkins, Tellico Plains; brothers, Milton Thomas and wife, Zora, Herbert Thomas and wife, Bobbie, both of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. J. Stephen Misenheimer officiating. Mackie, Morris R., “Moose”, age 63, passed away suddenly at his home Saturday, August 7, 2004. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Sevier Heights Baptist Church. He was employed as a salesman with PePe’s Wholesale Pizza. Mr. Mackie was an avid Bass fisherman and sports enthusiast. He is preceded in death by parents, James and Wilma Mackie; sister Linda Mackie Drinnon; cousin John Dee May.

Loving wife of 25 years, Dena Mackie; daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Phil Johnson; son, Wes Mackie; grandson, Nathan Johnson; niece, Carmon Samson; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Morris Kidd; several extended family members in North Carolina and Florida.

Brichetto, John “Brick”, 75, died Sunday, August 8, 2004. He was devoted to family, friends, church, Studebaker, and steel guitars. Brick was a native of Knoxville, and a graduate of the Old Knoxville High School and the University of Tennessee. Highlights of Brick’s career include: an Elder of Lake Hills Presbyterian Church, owner of Autosport Specialty, a member of Riders of the Silver Screen, International Studebaker’s Drivers Club, Founder and President of Screen Art, Inc., a Korean War Veteran, leader of Scout Troop 11, and an Eagle Scout. Preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Paul and Myrtle Brichetto, and first wife Ann Grogan.

Survivors

He is survived by Jean, his wife of 43 years; brother L.P. Jr. “Bunny” Brichetto; sisters Yvonne Hanes, and Celeste Millen; children John Jr., Jan, Maria, and Joanna Brichetto; grandchildren Claire, Thad and Alex Brichetto Brown; Margaret Rose, Anna, and Maisy Brichetto.

Service

Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery icon Tuesday at 3:00 PM for graveside services, Rev. James McTyre officiating. A private memorial service will be held at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church located in Big Horn, Wyoming on Sunday, August 15th for family and friends unable to attend the Knoxville service. Palmer, Arthur Lee “Ott”, age 93, passed away Sunday July 11, 2004. He was born icon March 24, 1911 in Knox County. He was a well-known and respected mechanic and saw miller in South Knoxville. Member of New Salem Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Scott and Gertie Palmer; sister, Velma Webster; brothers, Frank, Tom and John Palmer; grandson, Wayne Shown and son-in-law Boyd Wilson.

Survivors

Loving wife of 66 years, Mary Emaline (Parrish) Palmer; daughters, Sandra Seals of Knoxville; Elizabeth Wilson of Sevierville; Mildred and Bill Norton of Strawberry Plains; Frances and Joe Brooks of Dandridge; Sheila and Mark Boling of Powell; sons, Jay and Elaine Palmer of Strawberry Plains; Sam and Rachel of Knoxville; Jerry and Nancy Palmer of Seymour; Lynn and Sandi Palmer of Knoxville; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Webster, Louise Davis, Betty Hall and brother Mack Palmer. He will be sadly missed by many friends and neighbors. A special thank you to Brakebill Nursing Home and Dr. Cindy Pearman for their support and care.
