He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Life member of Royal Oak Lodge #464 F&AM, Royal Arch Chapter #167, Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies, Areme Chapter #466 Order of the Eastern Star. Retired from Ford Motor Company, Sterling Heights, Michigan after 31 years of service. He is preceded in death by mother, Maydel Self Ellis; father, Sam Wilson Ellis; step-mother, Daisy Bryant Ellis; step-brothers, Rudolph, Orman and Wilbur.

Loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Lucy McCammon Ellis; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Eugene Ellis and Beth Strobeck Ellis of Wheaton, Illinois; grandchildren, Cindy Ruth Ellis and Karl Strobeck Ellis; niece, Crystal Marie McCammon, guardian of 1999; sister, Linda Hill of Salon, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 8:00 PM Friday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Tuck officiating. A Masonic service will precede the Chapel Service. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM Saturday at McCammon cemetery for interment icon service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Mildred Evelyn Batten Tipton, age 83, of South Knoxville, passed away Friday, October 2, 1998 at Baptist Hospital. Member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church, Loyal Banner Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. Preceded in death by husband Ollie James Tipton, and grandson James David McCall.

FAULKNER, CLYDE G., age 75, of North Knoxville, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2003 at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice. He was a member of Garden Creek Baptist Church in Marion, North Carolina. He was retired from U.S. Air Force with 21 years of service and U.S. Postal Service with 18 years of service.

Survived by wife of 54 years, Lorean Faulkner; five children, Launa Rutherford and husband, Tim, of Orlando, FL, Deborah Eggers and husband, David, of Philadelphia, PA, Steven Faulkner and wife, Linda, of Dallas, TX, Tina Pope and husband, Daniel, of Lenoir City, TN, and Craig Faulkner and wife, Tammie, of Halls, TN; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel Faulkner and wife, Katherine; sister, Mildred Mathis, all of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 2:30 P.M. Wednesday Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Keith Vaughn officiating. Interment icon Greenwood cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members. Worsham, Mayme McCarter, age 75, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Baptist Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Mayme was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a long time member of Second United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Methodist Women, the Joy Club and the Abundant Life Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by parents, Audley and Lenore McCarter.

Lundy, Jr., Lloyd Edward, age 73, of South Knoxville, passed away after a long illness at Hillcrest North. Attended Knoxville Baptist Tabernacle. Retired from Rohm and Haas after 30 years of service. Served in the Korean Conflict as a Paratrooper.

Wife of 50 years, Iva McCarter Lundy; daughter and son-in-law, Grace and Hank Wohleb of Chattanooga; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sharon Lundy; daughter, Joanna Lundy; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Michael Heatherly, all of Knoxville; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Lee Vena Lundy of Knoxville; sister, Lenna DeBusk of Clinton. Mr. Lundy is remembered as a very loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He was employed as a landscaper and was preceded in death by parents, Herman W. and Johnnie Louise Tipton Graves; brothers Junior Baker, J. Harold Baker and Clyde E. Graves; sister, Margaret Valentine.

Brothers, Hubert E. Baker, Ralph E. Baker, George C. Baker, Billy G. Baker, Herman E. Graves and Mike P. Graves all of Knoxville; sister, Dorothy Inez Graves of Sevierville.

Thomas Clayton Trousdale

Trousdale, Thomas Clayton –age 88, passed away at home on Sunday, October 17, 2004. A devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, Mr. Trousdale was born in Oxford, MS and grew up in Culleoka, TN. Serving in the United States Navy as a recruiter during World War II, he moved to Knoxville in the mid 1940’s. During a 37-year career with Sears Roebuck & Co. he worked as manager of the service department, security, customer service and credit. After retiring in 1983, he enjoyed many years of traveling with his family and tending to his yard and vegetable gardens. Mr. Trousdale was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Clayton Trousdale and Eura Harriet Thurman Trousdale; his brothers, Maury, Ralph and Jim; and his best friend and beloved wife of 52 years, Margaret Irwin Trousdale in 2003.

Survivors

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Doug Griswold and grandchildren, Robert and Molly, all of Freehold, NJ; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Victoria Trousdale and Kaitlyn and Thomas, all of Knoxville. He is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with funeral service to follow at 8 PM, Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Family and friends will meet at Meridian Baptist Church cemetery on Friday for 11 AM interment icon service.

Bellamy, Mary Elizabeth “Granny” –age 92, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2004 at Brakebill Nursing Home. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Whether it be in songs, music or poems, granny’s main goal in life was telling others about her Lord Jesus Christ and his love for them. Preceded in death by husband, Henry E. Bellamy; father, William Long; mother, Kate Stout Long; brothers, Theodore, Corbit and James Long and sisters, Dixie and Irene Long .

Survivors

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Lavelle Bellamy, grandson and wife, Tommy and Kathy Bellamy; great-granddaughters “her babies”, Leah Nicole and Hannah Joy Bellamy, whom loves you and has many precious memories; sister and brother-in-law, Flora and J.W. Leatherwood and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Brakebill Nursing Home.

He was a member and former deacon of Central Heights Baptist Church of Dandridge. He retired after 32 years from CFW Construction Co. of Fayetteville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bertha Pack; sisters, Thelma Wheatley, Mary Elizabeth Russell and Lurah Jones.

Survived by wife of 44 years, Margaret Wallace Pack; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Gary Jones, Carolyn and Rick Nelson, Virginia and Dennis Teal and Lisa and Fred Pate; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Joyce Cassady, John and Debra Kiely; several nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
