David Eugene Bracken

Bracken, David Eugene, age 59, of Knoxville, departed this life Monday morning, July 22, 2002 at his home following his fight with a brain tumor. David was born in Knoxville, TN on August 31, 1942. He graduated from Holston High School in 1960. He retired from United Parcel Service in 1988, and then worked for Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. until 1998. He loved to play golf and spent time at his special place in Naples, FL. He was a member of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church. On May 19, 1984 he married Kitty Booth Parkey and they blended two families together. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Alma Bracken.

He leaves to mourn his passing his soul-mate and wife, Kitty Booth Bracken and their children, daughters, Joy Nobles, Kippy Fields, Kristi Daniel, all of Virginia, and Melissa Wilkinson of Knoxville; son, Chris Parkey of Knoxville; special son-in-law, Adam Daniel. Wonderful grandchildren, Ben and Max Nobles, Jesse, Jenna and Luke Fields, Addison and Aubree Daniel, all of Virginia and Emma Wilkinson of Knoxville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gwen and Tim Watkins and Chug and Bob Burroughs; aunt and uncle, Vickie and Fred Rader; many cousins nieces and nephews. David had wonderful neighbors and many special friends, but always Mike Kidd was a strong shoulder to lean on. The family would like to thank The University of Tennessee Hospice Service and especially Carolyn Wear along with his doctors, Timothy Panella, William Reid and Robert Bertoli. Allison, Harold Paul, age 85, passed away at his daughter's home in Brandon, Florida Monday July 22, 2002. He was born in Andrews, NC on December 16, 1916 and was married to the late Cecile Marie Kilby. He is predeceased by his son, William Allison. Mr. Allison was often known as "Preacher" and was an avid flea marketer along with his late wife. He was a retired Autobody Foreman at Knoxville Motor Company.

SCOTT, R. VIRGINIA – age 87, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2004 after a brave battle with cancer. She belonged to Woodlawn Christian Church. She was a charter member and member Emeritus of the Knoxville Women’s Bowling Association and was inducted onto the Knoxville Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame and received the Pioneer Award. She was also a member and served several years as a Tennessee Director Women’s bowling Association. Preceded in death by: parents, Charles and Nora Scott; brother, Roy A. Scott, Sr.; niece, Sue Howerton; nephews, Roy A Scott, Jr. and Richard Scott.

Mills, Frances Wells, age 87, of South Knoxville, expired July 25, 2002 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. She was born in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee on February 27, 1915. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Mills; son, Paul Morgan Mills; infant daughter, Betty Sue Mills; parents, Floyd and Mary (Mab) Reynolds Wells; and grandparents, Asa and Florence Sullivan Wells; and George Wesley and Margaret Annye Gentry Reynolds. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and cherished mother-in-law. She was a lifetime third generation member of First Christian Church of Knoxville (Disciples of Christ). She retired from a career of 26 years as an assistant in oral surgery to Dr. Harvey and Dr. John E. Sullivan. She was an avid fan of NASCAR. She and husband, Paul enjoyed pleasure boating on the TVA lakes. As members of the National Outboard Association, she participated by scoring for races and time trials. She enjoyed spending summers in Townsend at Big Valley Resort and Trailer Park. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1931 and was active in the KHS Alumni Association until she became handicapped.
