Mr. Ernest Hackett, age 90, of Carthage, died Monday morning, December 1, at his home. He is survived by: wife, Thelma Lankford Hackett; children, Rebecca McCall of Carthage, Katherine Ballal of Cookeville, Jerry Hackett of Manchester, and David Hackett of Maryville; sisters, Minnie Harlan of Lebanon, Lena Mykitta of Madison, and Etta Bates of Memphis; brother, C.E. Hackett of Elmwood; brother-in-law, Paul Caplenor of Beasley's Bend; sister-in-law, Nancy Hackett of Carthage; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hackett's remains are at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with Eld. Jeff Patterson officiating. Interment icon in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Carthage Chapel on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Paul Haggard

Visitation: Tuesday, November 4, 2003 10:00 PM until 3:00 PM

Paul Haggard, age 67, of Manchester, died November 1, 2003.

Mr. Haggard was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Effie May Waldon Haggard; his wife, Mary Ellen Haggard, and one sister, Arlene Newland. He is survived by one son, Larry (Terri) Haggard of Manchester; one daughter, Joyce Haggard Jansky of Michigan City, IN; four grandchildren, Mary Ellen Haggard, Lester Spry, and Kyle Haggard, all of Manchester, and Jessica Jansky of Michigan City, IN; two sisters, Jean Brown of Manchester, and Dean Arnold of Lexington, TN; and one brother, Alvin Haggard of Manchester.

Burial will follow in Ragsdale cemetery.

Manchester Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Harvey Richard Hale, Sr.

Harvey Richard Hale, Sr., age 82, passed away Thursday at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center. He was the son of the late Jon Thomas Hale and Sarah Elizabeth Church Hale. He was a US Army WWII veteran, member of the Olive Branch Masonic Lodge, Former Board member for the Manchester Girls Softball League and a longtime coach. Mr. Hale retired as an operating engineer at AEDC.
He is survived by his wife: Bertie Hale

Henry Horton Hale

Henry Horton Hale age 74, of Manchester, TN died Sunday November 17, 2002 at United Regional Medical Center. He was born May 5, 1928 in Bledsoe County, TN the son of the late William Franklin Hale and Rena Arnett Hale. He is a United States Army veteran having served during Korean War and is a past member of the Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hale.

Survivors include daughter, Sharon Marie Seaton of Greenville, TN, 5 brothers, James Walter Hale, Clifford Hale and Robert Lee Hale all of Manchester, twin brother, Herbert Hover Hale formerly of Pikeville, TN and Johnny Franklin Hake of Pikeville and two sisters, Mable Hale and Mary Elizabeth Yates both of Spencer, TN and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, he family requests memorial contributions be made to Beaver Hill cemetery fund set up at First National Bank-Pikeville, TN.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Cecil Haley

Cecil Haley, age 76 passed away Friday at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.

Mr. Haley is preceded in death by his parents, Riley Haley and Nancy Fletcher Haley.

He was retired from Genesco after 32 years of service and was a member of Pocahontas Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years-Sybil Haley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family request memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Infant Girl Alexis Hall was born and passed Monday, December 6, 2004 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. She is the daughter of Crystal and Jonathan Hall. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Shelby Brawley of Manchester, maternal grandparents, Teresa Williams of Manchester and Bobby Brawley of Winchester, paternal grandparents, John & Glenda Hall of Manchester and great-great-maternal grandmother, Julia Powers of Manchester.

Brother Bill Adams will officiate services at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Crethan Kyle Hansert

Visitation: Saturday, November 2, 2003 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM

Crethan Kyle Hansert, age 17, a resident of Manchester passed away Friday, October 31, 2003 at the Medical Center of Manchester as the result of an automobile accident.

He was born September 19, 1986 in Manchester, the son of Scotty Hansert and Carol Keech. He was a Senior at Coffee County Central High School and a member of the baseball and golf teams. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Mr. Charles Fults, and his grandmother, Ms. Jean Fults.

He is survived by his father, Scotty Hansert, his mother and her spouse, Carol and Billy Keech, a brother, Brent Hansert and grandparents, Norman and Norma Hansert.

Reverend Leon Williams will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Henry Houston Harden

Henry Houston Harden, age 74, a resident of Manchester passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at the Medical Center of Manchester. He was born March 25, 1929 in Huntsville, AL the son of the late Wiley Harden and his mother, Mary Lou May Harden Kirby and his step-father, Luther Kirby. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother William Harden, Two sisters, Rosa Lee Boice, Marie Hastings and a son, Dennis Harden.

Brother James Hogan will officiate services and burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Anna Marie Hardwick

Anna Marie Hardwick age 26, of Cleveland, OH, died January 2, 2004.

Mrs. Hardwick was preceded in death by her father, Arthur L. Hardwick, Sr. She is survived by her mother, Darleen Hardwick; her step-father, Richard Etter; her sister, Amber (Brian) Waring; her brother, Arthur L. Hardwick, Jr.; and two sons, Joshua and Jerad.

Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Georgie Lee Harmon

Graveside services for Mrs. Georgie Lee Harmon, age 79, a resident of Manchester will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Brother Bobby Zumbro officiating.

Mrs. Harmon died Wednesday evening at Coffee Medical Center Nursing Home. She was born December 1, 1922 in Grundy County, the daughter of the late Marvin and Lela Givens. She was retired having been employed at the Holiday Inn At Manchester for over 25 years. She is Preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Harmon in November of 2001, a son, Harley Gene Harmon, Sr. and two brothers, Howard and Hershel Givens and a sister, Waldean Sartain.

She is survived by two sons, John Harmon and Bethel Harmon, a granddaughter, Sue Farless, two grandsons, Gene Harmon, Jr. and Joe Harmon, six great-grandchildren, Chelsey and Rachel Farless, Austin and AshLynn Harmon and Kristian and Hunter Harmon

John Damon Harmon

John Damon Harmon, age 55, passed away Friday, March 12, 2004 at his residence in Manchester. He was born April 28, 1948 in Coffee County, the son of the late E.B. Harmon and Georgie Givens Harmon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Harley Gene Harmon, Sr., E.B. Harmon, Jr., and a sister, Ruby.

Survivors include a brother, Bethel Harmon of Tullahoma, niece and spouse, Sue and Michael Farless of Wartrace, nephew and spouse, Harley Gene Harmon, Jr., and Iva Harmon of Manchester, Nephew and spouse, Joseph and Kellie Harmon of Tullahoma and great nieces and great nephews, Kristian and Hunter, Austin and Ashlynn and Chelsey and Rachel and many other loving relatives and friends.

No services are planned at this time, the family has chosen cremation.

Walter Pruitt Harmon

Service: Saturday, April 10, 2004 2:00 PM
First Presbyterian Church

Walter Pruitt Harmon, age 70, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2004. He was born August 25, 1933 in Bedford County, TN the son of the late Jeff Davis Harmon and Mildred Mae Pruitt Harmon.

Mr. Harmon began his career in December of 1957 at AEDC as a Mechanical Engineer. After 37 years of service he retired in 1994. He has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tullahoma since the 1960's, where he served as a former deacon, superintendent and assistant superintendent for many years. He also enjoyed overseeing the First Presbyterian Church Annual Golf Tour. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 262 and the York Scottish Rite.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 110 North Washington Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388.

Survivors include his loving wife of 44 yea5rs, Mary Cook Harmon of Manchester, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Harmon Oliver and Major Michael Oliver of Ft. Stewart, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Jefferson C. and Alison Harmon of Nashville. Also surviving is a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Richard Talley of Shelbyville, TN.

Reverend Patterson Lyles will officiate services on Saturday.

Ann B. Harrell

Ann B. Harrell, age 82, a resident of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. A native of Grundy County, she was born October 24, 1920 the daughter of the late Emmett and Vergie Campbell McCormick.

She along with her husband, Bud, owned and operated "Bud's Cafe" in Manchester for many years before retiring. She was a member of Living Water Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie "Bud" Harrell of Manchester, sons and daughters-in-law, David and Susie Harmon and Bill and Donna Harmon all of Manchester and son, James D. Harmon of Cannon County, grandchildren, Trent and Mary Harmon, Greg Harmon, and Kristy and Danny Hood, five great-grandchildren and a sister, Christine Freeze also of Manchester.

Reverend Rick Clouse and Brother Jason Skipper will officiate services. Burial will follow services at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Thomas Wayne Hawkersmith

Visitation: Tuesday, January 13, 2004 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM

Thomas Wayne Hawkersmith, age 60, of Murfreesboro, died January 12, 2004.
Mr. Hawkersmith was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Grace Coker Hawkersmith. He is survived by one brother, Randy L. Hawkersmith of Tullahoma; and one sister, Libby Swanger of Manchester.
Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2004, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Wesleys Chapel cemetery.
Coffee County Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Claude Willard Herren

Claude Willard Herren, age 86, a resident of Manchester, TN passed away Sunday, April 27,2003 evening at his residence. He was born July 20, 1916 in Putnam County, TN the son of the late Verbel Herren and Laura J. Sweet Herren. He attended Thomas Grade School in the 8th District of Putnam County and graduated from Baxter Seminary in 1935. He married Kathryn Stanchek April 29, 1950. Prior to retiring to TN in 1974 to become a farmer, Mr. Herren resided in Southern California for 32 years where he was the general manager for a large electrical company. He is a United States Navy veteran having served during World War II 1943-1945. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Etha Jones of Manchester, Reba Jones of California and Zel Kozak of California.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Kathryn M. Herren of Manchester, a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Sherry Redassky of Tucson, AZ, two grandchildren, Jim Redasky of Tuscon, AZ and John Redasky of Yucaipa, CA. Also surviving is a brother, Winnell Herren of Lewisburg, TN and three sisters, Jo Bell of Holderville, OK, Florene Tucker Crawley of Manchester and Faye Brindley of Cookeville and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will follow services at Judd cemetery in Baxter, TN at 1:30 P.M.

Brother Ken Chambers will officiate services.

Wilma Hickerson

Visitation: Monday, June 21, 2004 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM

Wilma Hickerson, age 70, died Saturday, June 19, 2004.

Mrs. Hickerson was the daughter of the late Harry Comer and Elizabeth Caldwell Meadows.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harold & Elmer Meadows, and sisters, Louise Crutcher and Thelma Nunley.

Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
