Charlsie Duff, age 80 of LaFollette, passed away Sunday May 30, 2004 at the St Mary’s of Campbell County. She was a member of Ford Town Baptist Church and she loved to read.
Preceded in death by her son, Steve Duff; daughter, Elaine Broadwell; parents; brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Duff, LaFollette; sister, Carrie Wilson, LaFollette; grandsons, Josh and Tyler Broadwell, of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were May 31 at Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. David Hicks officiating. Interment
was June 1 in Woodlawn cemetery.

Frances Imogene Cook
Frances Imogene Cook, wife of Hatler Cooker, of Cumberland Gap, died May 27, 2004 at Baptist Hospital West in Knoxville. She was born Oct. 3, 1924 in Pinson Fork, Ky.
Funeral services were May 30 at Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel with Rev. Vernon Willlard officiating. Interment
was in Green Hills cemetery. Pallbearers were C.J. Hudson, Porter Shearsmith and other nephews.

Arvil Creekmore
Arvil Creekmore, age 80 of Lake City died May 28, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born May 18, 1924 to the late Henry Ledford and Sarah Ellen Stephens Creekmore. He was a member of the Longfield Baptist Church where he served as Trustee and Assistant Treasurer. He was an avid golfer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Flora Taylor, Verda Shepherd and Nora D. Disney; brothers, Floyd, Virgle, John and Emory Creekmore.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Sue Creekmore, Lake City; step-son and wife, Michael and Brenda Vowell, Clinton; step-daughter and husband, Linda and Ronnie Weaver, Jacksboro; grandchildren, Eric Weaver, Ryan Vowell and Vanessa Vowell.
Funeral services were May 30 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey Sherlin, Rev. Ronald Gutherie and Rev. Mike Foust officiating. Interment
was in the Oak Grove cemetery.

George Clayton Ivey, Jr.
George Clayton Ivey, Jr., age 28 of Duff died suddenly May 19, 2004. He was a member of New Freedom Community Church, Duff.
Preceded in death by his father, George Clayton Ivey November 9, 1975.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Marie Ivey; daughters, Kelsy Marie Ivey, Haley Savanna Ivey and Emily Nicole Ivey; mother, Shirley Sutton, Duff; nephew, Travis Lee Rasnick; sister, Tamra Lynn and husband, Jered Lee Rasnick, Duff; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were May 22 at Cross Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Dupuy officiating. Interment
was in Peabody cemetery.

Charles Donald Johnson, age 66 of LaFollette died May 28, 2004 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Rosa Lee Johnson; brothers, Tom and Gerald Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Johnson, LaFollette; daughters, Tina Johnson, Ohio, Carrie Harmon, Jacksboro, Roselee Johnson, LaFollette; sons, Chuck Johnson and wife, Evelyn, Cleveland, Oh, Richard Johnson and wife, Amanda, LaFollette, Charles D. Johnson, III, LaFollette; sisters, Ruth Angel, Texarkana, TX, Elaine Deal, Turtle Town, Tn, Brenda Jones, Texarkana, TX; brother, Morris Johnson; eight grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Blanche Little
Blanche Little of West Carrollton, Oh, formerly of Jellico died on her 89th birthday, May 28, 2004 at Dayton Heart Hospital in Dayton, Oh. She was born May 28, 1915 at Caryville, the daughter of the late Robert and Bessie Thompson Hicks.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Ernest Little; parents; sister, Ruth Smith; brother, Frank Hicks.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Rosella and Raymond Petrey, Jellico; special family members, niece, Eleanor Sue (Susie) Smith and husband, Roy; grand niece, Kristi Cox and husband, David; grand nephew, Darren Smith and wife, Karen; great-grand nieces and nephews, Ellie and Mikel Merker, Ben Delaney and Marissa Smith, all of the Dayton, Oh area; sisters-in-law and their spouses, Gladys and Albert King, Tn, Rose and Reed Lovett, West Virginia, Bessie Lee, Az and Jewell Rigsby, Tn; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were May 30 at the Cox and Son Chapel with Rev. Danny King officiating. Interment
was in the Jellico cemetery.

Ralph Marlow
Ralph Marlow, age 54 of Caryville died May 25, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and retired from Ascroco Zinc Mining Company in Jefferson County. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Preceded in death by his mother, Mency Lowe Marlow; brother, Chester Marlow; sister, Thedia McKamey.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Davis Marlow, Caryville; son, Ralph Kevin Marlow, Caryville; daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Keith McKamey; special granddaughters, Bethany and Hannah McKamey; father, Allen Marlow, Jacksboro; brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Ada Marlow, Caryville; brother-in-law, Thurman McKamey; sister-in-law, Gracie Marlow, both of Jacksboro; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were May 27 at Beech Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Phillips and Rev. Joey Rutherford officiating. Interment
was in the Beech Fork cemetery.

Bessie McGhee
Bessie McGhee, age 92 of LaFollette entered the gates of heaven on May 28, 2004 following a brief illness. She was born in Norma to Narcissus and Elizabeth Hatfield. The family later moved to Beechfork where she met her husband, Bailey McGhee. She surrendered her life to Christ at a young age, and was a member of Norma Methodist Church.
Bessie’s ability to show the type of unconditional love she found in scripture to all around her was unsurpassed. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and in turn was loved by all who knew her. She had a quiet and gentle nature, with sparkling eyes and a wonderful smile. She was an excellent cook, and in her younger years even enjoyed playing softball with her grandchildren during the summer. She endured the hardships of life with an undying faith in God, and instilled a strong sense of values to her children. We are who we are today because of her, and she will always remain in our hearts. By God’s amazing grace, our precious Lord took her by the hand and led her to her eternal home. Not only was she greeted and welcomed home by Jesus, but also by her much loved family members who have gone on before.
She was preceded into eternal life by parents: Narcissus and Elizabeth Hatfield; husband, Bailey McGhee; brother, Warren Hatfield; son, Clifton McGhee; great grandson, Daniel McGhee.
Bessie is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Clara Prim of LaFollette and Robert Prim of Lynnville, Lula Belle and James Meredith of Douglasville, GA, Margie McGhee of LaFollette, and Patricia McGhee of LaFollette; sons and daughters-in-law, Hildred and Carmelita McGhee of West Milton, OH, Glen and Brenda McGhee of Farmersville, OH, Hobart and Jewell McGhee of Jacksboro, and Shirley McGhee of LaFollette; grandchildren, Tammy Hill of LaFollette, Bobby Prim of Nashville, Ronald Meredith of GA, David McGhee and Bradley McGhee of OH, and Donna Madron of Jacksboro; 14 great grandchildren; special nephew, Butch Hatfield of LaFollette; niece, Kathy Palmer of TX; many other relatives and friends. While her passing brings much sorrow to her family and friends, Bessie would prefer us to celebrate her eternal life in Heaven. She will be missed.

Helen Taylor, age 80 of Lake City died May 25, 2004 at the Lake City Health Care Center. She was born January 11, 1924 in Anderson County to the late Marion and Sylvia Vandergriff Lewis. She was a member of the Briceville Church of God. She loved woodworking, ceramics and flower gardening.
Preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Taylor, Lake City; sister-in-law, Faye Taylor, Powell, special friend, June Burton, Lake City.
