Services for Robert Lee Brooksher, 54, Murfreesboro, who died Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Brooksher of Murfreesboro, two sons, Terry Jenkins of Oxford, N.C., Robert W. Brooksher of Murfreesboro, two daughters, Beth Wynn of Murfreesboro, Sherry Busby of Murfreesboro; three sisters, Marie Nichelson, Norene Jackson, both of Nashville, Caroline Yeargin of Joelton; two brothers, A.B. Brooksher of Nashville, Ernest Brooksher of Joelton; and five grandchildren.
He was a concrete finisher.
John O. Thompson
Services for John Oren Thompson, 77, of 129 B Stonewall Drive, Smyrna, who died of cancer Saturday, Jan. 31, at the York VA Medical Center, are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jennings & Ayers Chapel with burial in Evergreen cemetery. Lemuel Underhill will officiate.
His parents were the late Oscar Alton Thompson and Myrtice Lillie Turner Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Florence Wiker Thompson of Smyrna; son, John E. Thompson of Fulton, Miss.; two daughters, Diane Scott of Murfreesboro, Joyce Ann Henry of Saltillo, Miss.; three stepdaughters, Barbara Hunt of Murfreesboro, Pat Roberts of Smyrna, Sue Freeman of New Jersey; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends will be pallbearers.
A member of the Baptist church and a native of Saltillo, he had lived in Rutherford County the past 12 years. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps with 24 years service.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 tonight at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home.
Dorothy Brown Voss
Services for Mrs. Dorothy Brown Voss, 89, Southerland Place, Brentwood, formerly of Lascassas, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home, Columbia, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery. Bob Kerce will officiate.
Her parents were the late William and Nannie Henderson Brown, and her husband was the late Eugene Brazier Voss who died Nov. 14, 1976.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be retired Greyhound employees and staff members of Southerland Place, Brentwood.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
A member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Nashville, she was a retired secretary for Greyhound Lines with 40 years service.
Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Franklin Hall Cooper
Services for Franklin Hall Cooper, 65, Murfreesboro, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Leamon Flatt will officiate.
A native of Rockvale, his parents were the late Frank and Willie Sullins Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Nobles Cooper; two sons, David Cooper, Jeff Cooper, both of Murfreesboro; brother, Ronnie Cooper of Unionville; three sisters, Billie Jean Lee of Smyrna, Bonnie Barrett of Auburntown, Peggy Cooper of Unionville; and five grandchildren.
A member of the Baptist church and a 1951 graduate of Rockvale High School, he was a U.S. Navy veteran and former owner of the City Cafe here.

Effie Leola Rowe
Services for Mrs. Effie Leola Adair Rowe, 90, Maryville, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, at Blount Memorial Hospital, are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel, Lawrenceburg, with burial in Centerpoint Methodist cemetery. Marvin Champion will officiate.
She is survived by two sons, Charles E. Rowe of Nashville, Jerry L. Rowe of Maryville; two daughters, Martha Jewel of Lawrenceburg, Gayle Murks of Murfreesboro; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A member of the First Methodist Church, her husband was the late Erskin E. Rowe, and her parents were the late Glenn and Martha Denson Adair. She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy G. Rowe.
Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. today at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home.
Charles Lambert
Services for Charles "Rattler" Lambert, 69, Shelbyville, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, at Glen Oaks Convalescent Center, are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gowen-Smith Chapel, Shelbyville, with burial in Rocky Glade cemetery. Bobby McGee and the Rev. Randle Harmon will officiate.
His wife was Laura Darlene Lambert, who died in 1977.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Ray Lambert, Vernell Lambert, both of Shelbyville; three daughters, Deborah Darlene Seibers, R. Lee Sanders, Carla R. Allen, all of Shelbyville; stepdaughter, Frances Marie Allen of Smyrna; sister, Ann Maxwell of Murfreesboro; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was a self-employed carpenter.

His parents were the late Euliss and Emma Ferrell Hockett.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Laura Hockett of Manchester; four children, Nina Alford of Beech Grove, Berlene West of Bell Buckle, Lindell Hockett of Christiana, Dorris Hockett of Shelbyville; brother, John Robert Hockett of Beech Grove; stepsister, Mary Bell Floyd of Wartrace; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Tommie A. Tierney
Services for Mrs. Tommie Augusta Tierney, 91, of Brinkley Road, who died Monday, Feb. 2, at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness, are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jennings & Ayers chapel with graveside services 11 a.m. Thursday in Mapelwood cemetery, Mayfield, Ky. Her parents were the late Luther Tolbert and Mattie Crowell Tolbert, and her husband was Thomas Tierney, who died in April 1996.
She is survived by a brother, Aaron Tolbert of Benton, Ky.; and sister, Anna Hillis Moses of Murfreesboro.
A member of Blackman Baptist Church and a native of Graves County, Ky., she had taught school in Oxen Hill, Md. She had lived here since 1972.

Services for Mrs. Harriet Powers Straub, 68, Hickory Street, La Vergne, who died Monday, Feb. 2, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by a daughter, Diana L. Scurlock of Smyrna; three sons, Albert L. Powers of Nashville, Ricky N. Powers of Smyrna, Richard L. Powers Jr., of La Vergne; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Her husband was the late Howard Leroy Straub.
A member of the Baptist church, she was a retired employee of the City of La Vergne and a native of Elizabethtown.

Memorial services for Earna Stidam Newman, 64, Deer Road, La Vergne, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, are set for 5 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
A native of Morehead, Ky., her parents were the late Dewey and Nettie Williams Stidam.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Newman of Smyrna, Scott Lambert of Richmond, Texas; daughter, Kathy Jiemenez Dominguez of La Vergne; brother, Glennus Stidam of Beckley, W.Va.; seven sisters, Vernie Conley of Hamstead, N.C., Mabel Conley of Dayton, Ohio, Brenda Whalen of Henry, Va., Ruth Wilson of Westland, Mich., Hazel Gordon of Basset, Va., Faye Helton of Monroe County, Tenn., Elsie McClure of Winter Haven, Fla.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A member of the Baptist church, she was retired from Arrow Industries.
