He was a minister pasturing several churches in Northwest Ohio and preached occupation in several churches in Northwest Tennessee, was industrial engineer at Plastech in Bryan, Ohio and quality engineer at the Kenton plant.

He was a retired U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Newbern Masonic Lodge, The Scottish Rite and a 32nd Degree Mason. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Waymon Hogue officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg.

John Windfield Hunt Jr., 67, of Jackson died Friday, July 1, 2005. Hunt served in the U.S. Navy for seven years. He operated the Keglar Lanes in Dyersburg in the 1970s. He was employed by All-Wear Manufacturer of Newbern and Consultech as an independent computer programmer until his retirement in 2002. An accomplished bowler, he bowled semi-pro and was on several traveling teams. He was also a member of Brown's United Methodist Church.

He was a loving husband, a devoted father and recently became a proud grandfather. He was president of Copeland Metals Sales Inc. in Decatur. He was an accomplished artist and musician.
