Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Fairview cemetery in Newbern with Brother Wilford Mobley officiating. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was a constable for the Lake County sheriff's office, a member of the board of education for Lake County, a bus driver with the Lake County school system, worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority for 21 years and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. The Rev. Burt Burkett and the Rev. Charles Callens officiated. Burial was in the East View cemetery of Camden.
