Michael David Steward Jr.

Michael David Steward Jr., infant son of Michael and Cassandra Steward, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Graveside services for Michael will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Butch Martin officiating.

Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of arrangements.

Michael was the son of Michael David and Cassandra Nicole Pappas Steward, Sr. of Spring Hill.

In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Hannah Danielle Steward of Spring Hill; and grandparents, Charles and Vickie Williams of Spring Hill, Vanessa Chatman of Columbia, Samuel Pappas of Montana and Billy and Tara Steward of Centerville.

Mr. Albert Donald 'Pappy' DelRoy

Mr. Albert Donald "Pappy" DelRoy, 88, a resident of Rock Springs Road in Columbia, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Services for Mr. DelRoy will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral in Columbia with the Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The Boston, Mass., native was the son of the late Ralph and Angie Sacchetti Stasio and husband of the late Minnie Ethel Coran DelRoy.

He was a former owner and operator of the Country Kitchen on Pulaski Pike and retired from Sherry's restaurant in Maryland. He was head maitre de for Duke Zeberts in  Washington, D.C. He loved cooking and was an avid photographer, stamp, coin and rock collector.

He is survived by two daughters, Diana (Jimmy) Gilliam of Jasper and Denise (David) Ring of Columbia; a son, Douglas DelRoy of Charlotte, N.C.; a stepbrother, Anthony (Mary) Stasio of Maryland; 13 grandchildren, Douglas (Jennifer) Huey of Columbia, Joy L. (JJ) Duarte of Lubbock, TN, Tammy Ring (Hershel) Eller, Joseph "Joey" (Kristy) Bell, David "Boo" Ring Jr., Jammy Heath (Dawn) Gilliam, Wayne (Angie) Chipchase, Larry (Becky) Hyden, Billy Huey and Patricia (Steve) Reno, all of Columbia, Michael (Robin) Huey of Virginia, Vera (Charles) Oliver of Louisville, Ky., and Linda (Tom) Cappalle of Ohio; 12 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Harold Huey of Columbia; and special friends, Virginia Biachii and Marieann Lassiter of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Huey.

Pallbearers will be Joey Bell, Jammy Gilliam, Hershel Eller, Larry Hyden, Wayne Chipchase, Billy Huey, Steve Reno and Mike Huey. Honorary pallbearers will be David Ring Jr., Dr. J. Cummins Couch, Edward Moore and the staff of NHC/Hillview Nursing Home.

Rebekah 'Becky' Arnwine

KNOXVILLE - Rebekah "Becky" (Reed) Arnwine, 72, of Knoxville and former Mt. Pleasant resident, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center.

An Eastern Star Service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2004, by Acacia-May Chapter #24 at Rose Mortuary followed by a funeral service with Brother Bill Romines, the Rev. Charlie Reynolds and the Rev. Dean Braden officiating. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment icon was in Brookwalter Cemetery.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Charlie and Alma Reed. She was a 1949 graduate Hay Long High School. She was the former owner and operator of The Town Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of Glen Oak Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for 10 years. She was a member of Eastern Star. She was retired from Sports Belle with 20 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Luther C. Arnwine; daughters, Charlotte Rountree Leasure, Darlene Arnwine Hurst and husband Randy, Tina Arnwine Ledbetter and husband Michael; sons, Kenneth Arnwine, Ronnie Arnwine and wife Janet, Neal Rountree and wife Tony; grandchildren, Teresa, Angie, Wendy, Tim, Justin, Jeremy E., Robin, Daniel, Lisa Elizabeth, Lindsay, Kelli and Chase; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Cody, Thomas, Abbey and Whitney; a sister, Elizabeth Hinson of Mt. Pleasant; loving dog Barney; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Glen Oak Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were Charles Hinson, Justin Rountree, Jeremy Ellison, Daniel Hurst, Jeremy Keeler and Rick Cole.

Wayne Kincaid

Mr. Ronald Wayne Kincaid, 51, former resident of Maury County, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at his residence in Knoxville.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Buster Kincaid and Edith Elizabeth Riddle Kincaid. He was a graduate of Central High School and the University of Tennessee.

Mr. Kincaid was a nuclear physicist and research associate in the Physics Department at the University of Tennessee. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include aunts and uncles, Dugin (Pearl) Kincaid, Billie Bell Kincaid, Raymond (Willa Mai) Riddle, Kenneth (Bert) Riddle and Charles (Frances) Riddle, all of Columbia, Gladys Hofmann of Long Beach,  Calif., and Evelyn Riddle of Orlando, Fla.; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by six uncles, Herman Riddle, Loyd Riddle, Robert Riddle, Ivie Kincaid, Arnell Kincaid and W.A. Kincaid; and five aunts, Allyene Johnson, Nadine Kincaid, Varelle Chappell, Ruth Winchester and Bonnie Peters.

Cousins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be research associates in the Physics Department at U.T.

LAWRENCEBURG - Charles M. Ingram, 57, of Lawrenceburg, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Neal Funeral Home with Larry Spears officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.

The Lawrence County native was an interim minister for Meadowview Baptist Church and employee of Murray Inc. He was the son of the late Mary Julie Owens Barnes and M.C. Ingram. He was a member of Wales Baptist Church of Pulaski.

Survivors include his wife, Judy McFall Ingram of Lawrenceburg; daughter, Kim Scott of Lawrenceburg; sons, Shawn Ingram and Chad Ingram, both of Lawrenceburg; brother, George E. Ingram of Lawrenceburg; sister, Pat Vincent of Pulaski and Nancy Brown of Lawrenceburg; and three grandchildren.

Jackie Hinson

HOHENWALD - Jackie Jerry Hinson, 48, of Hohenwald, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Perry County Nursing Home.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at McDonald Funeral Home with Dwayne Sparks officiating. Burial will be in the Hinson Cemetery in Linden.

The Hohenwald native was the daughter of Hessie (Shelton) Hinson and the late Leslie Hinson.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her brother, Richard Hinson of Dickson; sisters, Joy James-Kerns of Dickson, Shirley Roberson of Nashville, Opal Robertson of Vanleer and Audrea Hensley of Hohenwald.

Martha Lanier

LAWRENCEBURG - Martha Nell Wilburn Lanier, 91, of Lawrenceburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Rosewood Manor in Columbia.

Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Neal Funeral Home with Bobby Gobble and John Pennington officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Mimosa Cemetery.

She was retired from Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of East End Methodist. She was the daughter of the late Jane G. Lumpkins and George W. Wilburn. She was the wife of the late Tom Lanier and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda.

Survivors include her sister, Jane Gunter of Allen Park, Mich. and a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.

The Lawrence County native was retired from Murray Inc. She was the wife of Leroy Adams.

Survivors in addition to her husband include step-sons, William Adams of Louisville, Ky., Bruce Adams of Seattle, Wash., Randy Adams of Atlanta, Ga.; step-daughter, Denise New of Atlanta, Ga.; and one grandchild.

Ira Marshall Savage Jr.

LEWISBURG - Ira Marshall Savage Jr., of Lewisburg, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in Marshall Medical Center.

Services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Monday by graveside in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday and from 3-4:30 p.m. Monday.

The Marshall County native was the son of the late Ira Marshall Savage Sr. and Sadie Mae Isley Savage. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and retired from Borden Milk Company, Eton Co. and Bank of American. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorthea Carter Savage of Lewisburg; daughter, Kandysue Savage of Mt. Pleasant; son, Marshall Savage of Lewisburg; brother, Charles King of Lewisburg; step-father, Mose King of Lewisburg; and two granddaughters.

James 'J.B.' Anderson

LEWISBURG - James Benton 'J.B.' Anderson, 85, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Marshall Medical Center.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Locust Grove Church Cemetery in New Market, Ala.

The Jackson County Ala. native was retired from Red Stone Arsenal and was a cattle farmer. He was the husband of 66 years to Marie Ray Anderson of Lewisburg. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg. He was the son of the late James Edward and Rhoda Davis Anderson and was also preceded in death by a son, Jim Anderson and a daughter, Carol Anderson.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Bennie Anderson Bell of Florida; sister, Ruth Erwin of Florida; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
