Franklin 'Mac' Hill
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
The Marshall County native was the son of the late William Wallace Hill and Evelyn Stewart Crigger. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Martha Hill.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He worked on a dairy farm, for Heil-Quaker, and the Department of Parks & Recreation for the City of Lewisburg, and following retirement from the city began a lawn care business.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sue Woods Hill; a son, Joe Wallace Hill, both of Lewisburg; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Hickman of Cornersville; a granddaughter; half-brothers, Jackie Crigger of Berlin, Bob Crigger of Summertown and Bill Crigger of Hazel Green, Ala.; a half-sister, Jane Jones of Belfast.
John D. King
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home with John Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakmont Cemetery.
He was the son of Ida Mae and Cliff King. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He was retired from Norris Industries. He was a member of Shipps Bend Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen King of Centerville; a daughter, Linda King of Hohenwald; stepdaughters, Renie Hickman of Hohenwald, Vanessa Fehr of Taft, Texas, and Deidi Ranie of Riverside, Calif; a stepson, Jeffrey Marsh of Barstow, Calif.; 10 step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Alta May Hickman
She was the daughter of the late Jasper and Maggie Nutt Risner and the wife of the late Felix Hannah Hickman.
She is survived by two sons, James Hickman of Liberty Hill and Charlie Hickman of Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Pearl Beavers of Olive Branch, Miss; a sister, Leneva Gowen of Lawrenceburg; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Carr & Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
Rosa Lee Potts Rochelle Cook

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Sam Potts and Evie Hutcherson Potts. She was first married to Wiley Marion Rochelle who died in 1966 and later married William Henry Cook who also preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1993.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy (Linda) Rochelle of Columbia; three grandchildren, Jim Rochelle, Carol (Tim) Massey, Tracy (John) Billingsley; five great grandchildren, Joshua Massey, Jordan Massey, Savannah Billingsley, Angel Billingsley, Christine Grace Billingsley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Potts Parr, and four brothers, Alvin Potts, William R. Potts, James E. Potts, and Paul Potts.
Pallbearers will be Jim Rochelle, Joshua Massey, Jordan Massey, J.B. Hickman Jr., Tim Massey, and Harold Hickman.
William 'Patrick' Ross
He was a native of Nashville, but was a resident of St. Augustine, Fla. for most of his life. He was a technical theater student at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, Fla., where he would have graduated in May. He was employed by TGIFridays. Patrick was an avid skateboarder. He loved surfing, playing music and spending time with family and friends.
He leaves behind a loving mother, Susan Scheitel; a step-father, Bill Cowan; a sister, Grayson Ross, all of St. Augustine, Fla.; his grandparents include a beloved grandmother, Jane Kay of Apalachicola, Fla., Dr. Wilbur Scheitel of Nashville and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ross of Apalachicola, Fla. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and an enormous amount of friends.
His father, Luke Ross, a life-long resident of Columbia and a farmer in Williamsport, who lost his fight with cancer on Jan. 20, 2003, preceded him in death.
A memorial service was held at Treaty Park in St. Augustine, Fla. with Craig Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of arrangements. His ashes will be laid to rest at St. John's Churchyard in Maury County alongside his father at a later date.
We all sorrowfully and sadly miss Patrick, but our Spirits soar high, on the wings of a new Angel.

The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Kirk and Bessie Campbell Cooper. She attended the Hickman County school system and was a member of Hannaway Street Original Church of god. She was employed by Dr. T.K. Young until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by five brothers ans four sisters.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Comer Martin

He was the son of the late Elmer Martin and Viola Lemay Martin. He was retired from Evers Tin Shop and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Randy Martin of Lewisburg, Richard Martin of Lawrenceburg, Ronnie Martin of Ethridge and Michael Martin of Loretto; daughters, Vickie Owens of Pulaski, Connie Sims of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Christine Moore of Fayetteville; brothers, Marvin Eugene Martin of Lawrenceburg and Albert Davis Martin of Ethridge; sisters, Carol Frances Martin and Kathrine Austin, both of Lawrenceburg; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Myrtle Worley Hunter
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday with Kyle Conner, Jack Tharp and Todd Yates officiating. Burial was in Baugus Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late John Isaac Worley and Sarah E. Gray Worley. She was a homemaker and member of Baugus Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Hunter.
Survivors include sons, Ray Hunter of Manchester, Ralph Hunter and Jeff Hunter, both of Summertown, Wayne Hunter of Ethridge, Eddie Hunter of Knoxville and Bob Hunter of Rockford, Ill.; daughters, Shirley Conner of Summertown, Alma South of Detroit, Ala. and Edna Cooper of Bono, Ark.; a sister, Josie Woodard of Cherry Valley, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
John Grant Swafford Sr.
Funeral services were conducted at noon Saturday at Forest Hills Baptist Church on Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Winfield and Rev. Bing Davis officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Memorial Park with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.

The Marion County native was the son of the late Ulysses Grant Swafford and Mary Graham Swafford. He was a graduate of Marion County High School and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he also did post-graduate work.
Mr. Swafford served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. He served as President of Toastmasters, President of the U.T. Alumni Association in Davidson County, and Telephone Pioneers. He was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Doris Sue Hardee Swafford of Nashville; one daughter, Mrs. Carol (Harvey) Church of Columbia; one son, John Grant (Jennifer) Swafford of Memphis; one brother, Bill (Barbara) Swafford of Jasper; three grandchildren, Taylor Church, Emma Church and Grant Swafford.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Swafford.
Pallbearers were Joe Strawbridge, Graham Swafford, Greg Hardee, Keith Hardee, Charles Hardee and Bill Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Cave, Clyde King, Jack Wyatt, Paige Sanders, Wayne Jackson, Dr. Gaylon Harris, Dr. Lucy Ledbetter, and Nursing and Rehab Staff at Life Care Center.
Louis Joseph Misurale
Survivors include his wife Josephine Misurale, two sons, John Misurale of Ft. Pierce, Fla. and Dennis Misurale of Debary, Fla; Two daughters, Joan Marie Russell of Shelton, Conn., and Debra Satterfield of Hohenwald; and 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was the son of the late John and Angelina Graziano Misurale. He was a retired carpenter for the city od Sunrise, Fla., and a veteran of the United States Army.

Mamie Othel Tharp
She is survived by four sons, George L. Tharp of Pinckneyville, Ill., J.W. Tharp of Murray, Ky., James David Tharp of Minooka, Ill., Thomas Tharp Jr. of Alexis, N.C.; three daughters, Virginia Romain of Paducah, Ky., Mary McElhone of Hohenwald and Rachel Graham of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother, Jessie Shanes of Hohenwald; 22 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma Hill Shanes. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lester Tharp, and two sisters, Frances Yates and Nell Brown along with her parents. She was a homemaker.
Visitation with the family will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Services for Mrs. Adams will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday February 3, 2004, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Greg Golden, Rev. Terry Golden, Rev. Jeff Cates and Elder Doyle Hurst officiating. Burial will be in the Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville. The family will visit with friends Monday from 3:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Luscious Ollie and Rosie Fralix Cates and wife of the late Johnnie Thomas King. She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother and Pastor of the Full Gospel Church in Etheridge.
She is survived by a son, Thomas (Betty) King of Winter Haven, Fla.; two daughters, Mary (Doyle) Hurst of Hendersonville and Glenda (Wayne) Hackett of Benton, Ark.; a son, Johnny King of Hendersonville; eleven grandchildren, Melody Powell, Sissy Dunn and Jeff King, all of Winter Haven, Fla.; Michael Dodd, Mitchell Dodd, Korie Hurst and Larry Taylor, all of Hendersonville; Kristi Wright and Cody Hackett, both of Benton, Ark. and Karry King and Kimberly Mullins, both of Antioch; four brothers, Jeff Cates of Columbia, Glen Cates of Lynnville, Bobby Cates of Atlanta, Ga. and Lo Cates of Lynnville; six sisters, Roxie Fralix of Lawrenceburg, Becky Smith of Lawrenceburg, Gethel Russie of Columbia, Alice Golden of Culleoka, Linda Taylor of Fairview and Shirley Graham of Memphis. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Sidney Hurst.

Mrs. Geraldine Woodside Jones
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Spring HIll Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Fox officiating.Interment will be in the Burwood Cemetery.
Born in Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Hollie and Myrtle Robinson Woodside. She was of the Methodist faith. She was a beloved mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Jones.
Survivors include her daughters Linda Crutcher and husband Clifton and Karen England and husband Freddie, both of Columbia, and Charlene Lancaster and husband of Spring Hill; sons, Emery (Rocky) Jones and wife Debbie and Robert (Bob) Jones both of Spring Hill, and Henry (Toot) Jones and wife Tammy of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Kevin and Derek Crutcher, Cory and Todd England, Candice and Justin Jones, Kelly Pullum, Alissa and Gerri Lancaster, Hannah and Chad Jones and Brandon Jones; great-grandchildren, Maddy Pullum and Cody and John Crutcher and cousin and special friend, Ida Mai King of Franklin.
Her grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
