The Maury County native was the son of the late Willie Elsworth Lovett and Evie Leona Hargrove Lovett. Mr. Lovett served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. He was a member of the Spring Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Thurman Lovett of Columbia; one daughter, Julia Ann (Earl) Pettus of Columbia; one son, William E. "Eddy" (Donna) Lovett of Columbia; six sisters, Violet (Don) Miller of New York, Madeline Brown of Spring Hill, Angline (Valton) Martin and Martha (Robert) Osborne, both of Lewisburg, and Shirley (Charles) Rankin and June (Tom) Bills, both of Columbia; one brother, Leonard (Alva) Lovett of Columbia; sister-in-law, Audrey Lovett of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Heather Lovett and Merri Carte; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Louis A. Lovett; and two grandchildren, Todd Caruthers and Deborah Haddock.
Pallbearers will be Terry "DieHard" Davis, Ralph Saltz, Randy Lovett, W.L. Culberson, Mark Gandee, Joe Griffin, David Rankin and Billy Chestnut.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Pettus, Eugene Lovett, Roy Caruthers, Raymond Thurman, Karen Lovell, Jack Robertson, Mike Bryan and nieces and nephews.
Eunice Turner Williams McConnell
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cornersville Funeral Home with burial in Fox-Wheatley Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Emma Lillian Harris Williams. She was a homemaker and member of the Cornersville Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Sehon McConnell of Cornersville; a son, Sherrell McConnell of Chattanooga; a daughter, Phyllis Boatright of Lewisburg; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Gladys C. Burns
Services for the former Columbia resident will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Mt. Sinai primitive Baptist Church in Nashville with Carl Blackmon officiating.
Interment will be in Patton Family Cemetery, Thompson Station. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Johnson's House of Atena is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include four grandchildren.
Clifford Oliver Hines
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Neal Funeral Home with Collin Stringer officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
He was the son of the late Tom Lee Hines Sr. and Evie McMurtrey Hines. He was a Greyhound Bus Driver and a member of College Place Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sue Potter Hines.
Survivors include a daughter, Edna Hines Gregory of Lawrenceburg; a son, Michael Hines of Collierville; a sister, Geneva Purser of Florence, Ala.; brothers, Tom Lee Hines Jr. and Kenneth Hines, both of Greenhill, Ala., and Edward Hines of Florence, Ala.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Marvin M. Davis
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be until the funeral hour Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was the son of the late Lee and Minnie Agent Davis. He was a retired press operator with Heil-Quaker Corporation and affiliated with the Ellington Parkway Church of God.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Osborne of Lewisburg, Faye Nix of Cornersville and Jo Ann Spaulding of Wills Fort, Texas; a son, Ronald Ray Davis of Winter Park, Fla.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Bobbie Ann Scott McCrary
Services will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joe Duvall officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Elmer Scott and Elise Massey Scott.
Survivors include her husband, Sherman McCrary of Hampshire; four daughters, Judy Lynn Steward of Louisiana, Janice A. (Johnny) Perigo of Clarksville, Tina (Perry) Lambert of Amity, Ark., and Shelia (Scotty) Morton of Columbia; one son, Timothy Ray Steward of Clarksville; four stepchildren, Ray (Linda) McCrary, Danny (Yong Hui) McCrary and Richard McCrary, all of Hampshire, Betty McCrary of Seattle, Wash.; three brothers, Rick "David Kelley" Scott and W. M. (Linda) Scott, both of Columbia, and Wayne Scott of Hampshire; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, William Scott, Douglas Scott and Claude Scott.

Calvin Coolidge Johnson

The Giles County native was the son of the late Finis Ewing Johnson and Fannie Bell Davis Johnson. He retired from Monsanto after 42 years, was a 50-year Mason member of Columbia Lodge #31 and an avid bowler. He was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patty Sweeney Johnson of Columbia; four daughters, Patsy (Rick) Coleman, Brenda (Eddie) Harris, Debbie (Terry) Sanders and Lisa (Bobby) Tubville, all of Columbia; nine grandchildren, Kim Coleman (Duke) Morgan, Sherill Rummage, Steve Black, Angie Tubville, Danny (Tammy) Coleman, Suzanne (Chuck) Willis, Lori Harris (Jeff) Mitchell, Gary (Windy) Sanders and Brett Harris; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Pruitt will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Giles officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of Arnold and Betty Scroggins Pruitt of Columbia and the husband of Connie Alexander Pruitt of the Shady Grove Community. He was a member of the Lord's House of Prayer in Lewisburg.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons, Jacob Pruitt and Adam Pruitt, both of the Shady Grove Community; a brother, Gary (Tammy) Pruitt of Hampshire; mother and father in-law, Tommy and Faye Alexander of Culleoka; two nephews, Matthew Pruitt of Hampshire and Justin Watts of Lynnville; three nieces, Sabrina Pruitt of Hampshire, Jessica Watts of Lynnville and Amber Alexander of Culleoka.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Pruitt, David Pruitt, Jeff Scroggins, Brandon Pruitt, Daniel Pruitt and Darin Cates.

Martin Braden
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Vernon M.B. Church, 808 W. 6th St., with the Rev. Anthony Paschall officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. He will lie-in-state from 10 a.m.-noon Thursday at the church.
He was a farmer and member of Mt. Vernon M.B. Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tom Ella Braden; father, Josh Braden; and brothers, Farmer Braden and David Braden.
Survivors include his brother, Charles Braden of Columbia; two sisters, Mary Lou Armstrong of Lynnville and John Ella Ray of Columbia; sister-in-law, Gladys Braden; and numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

Mr. Robert Hatcher
Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Ave., Franklin, with Bro. James Miller officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery in the Ash Hill Community.
Active pallbearers will be Tom Hatcher, Harold Hatcher, Howard Hatcher, Bob Hatcher, Malcolm Hazelwood and Bill Hazelwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Hatcher and Retired Union Carbide Employees.
Mr. Hatcher was born in Williamson County to the late John W. and Johnnie Covington Hatcher and made his home in the Flat Creek Community. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Hatcher was retired from Union Carbide in the Shipping Deportment and was a self-employed farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Smith Hatcher.
Survivors include his son, Steve Hatcher and wife Karen of Flat Creek Community; and brothers, Bill Hatcher of Louisiana and A.C. Hatcher of Flat Creek Community.
Mr. Roy Gene Armstrong
Services will be conducted at 1 p. m. Thursday at Macedonia Church Of Christ with Bro. Charlie Carter officiating.
The body will lie-in-state Wednesday at V. K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home. Burial is in Rosemount Cemetery.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Ed and Mary Armstrong. He was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Armstrong and Barry Armstrong; four brothers, James Edward Armstrong, Marvin Armstrong, J.C. Armstrong and Frank Armstrong; and two sisters, Mattie Frances Armstrong and Geraldine Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Mary Armstrong of Nashville; three daughters, Mary (T) Watts, Alleschia (Sean) Beard and Gloria (Herb) Mayberry of Nashville; two sons, Michael (Felecia) Armstrong of Columbia and Darrell (Tina) Armstrong of Nashville; three sisters, Brownie Armstrong, Dorothy Armstrong and Leola Braden, all of Columbia; one brother, Willie Armstrong of Columbia; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Shady Grove native was the daughter of the late Iola Baker and Robert Church. She was a homemaker and wife of the late Carl Minor Tucker.
Survivors include a son, James Tucker of Williamsport; brothers, Robert Church of Mt. Pleasant, Billie Church and Douglas Church, both of Duck River; and a grandson.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Henry Milton Andrews and Lena Cheek Andrews. She was married to James H. Dowdy who preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1994.
She was a 1931 graduate of Culleoka High School and later graduated from Martin College. Mrs. Dowdy was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church where she was President of the Women's Missionary Society and served as church treasurer.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charlie Ann (Henry) Dugger of Columbia; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Juanita Brien of Killen, Texas, and Mrs. Sue Anna (Ronald) Eli of Hendersonville; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe E. and Thelma Andrews of Culleoka; sister-in-law, Louise Andrew of Columbia; three grandchildren, Tim Dugger, Chris (Karen) Dugger and Denise (Chris) Tullis; five stepgrandchildren, Johnny (Becky) Brien, Cathy (Dennis) Sikorski, Cindy (Mike) Rheinhardt, Rhonda (Ron) Malugin and Craig Eli; three great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Andrews.
