Georgie Mae Spain
LEWISBURG - Georgie Mae Spain, 68, of Lewisburg, died Friday, May 28, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Private graveside services were conducted Saturday in Sunset Park Cemetery, Garden of Faith.
The Madisonville native was the daughter of the late Virgil and Abby Green Watson.
She was a housekeeper with Kantus Corporation and a member of the Westvue Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ladoit Spain; and a brother, Boyce Watson.
Survivors include a daughter, Robbie Wilson of Lewisburg; a son, David Spain of McDonough, Ga.; brothers, Hoyt Watson and Namon Watson, both of Madisonville; and five grandchildren.
Mable Farrar
Funeral services for Mable Frances Phillips Farrar, 84, of Shelbyville, will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday June 1 at the Flat Creek United Methodist Church, with Jim Sorrells and Ray Hartman officiating. Her body will lie-in-state one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Rose Bank Cemetery. Mrs. Farrar died Saturday evening at the Bedford County Medical Center.
Ms. Mable was the wife of the late Judge Miller Mac Farrar and the daughter of the late Dennis Bryant and Fannie Lou Ellen Dixon Phillips. She was a retired teacher that had served the Bedford County school system for 34 years. She was a life-long member of the United Methodist Women at the First Methodist Church in Shelbyville.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Rheaetta (Bo) Wilson of Shelbyville and Lolly (Eddie) Watson of Columbia; grandchildren Millie Lynn Watson Landers of Columbia, Jimbo Wilson of Shelbyville, and Sarah Mac Wilson of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren Maggy Lynn Landers and Farrar Watson Landers both of Columbia.
Mrs. Farrar was proceeded in death by a grandson, Edward Watson IV in 1999, and two brothers, Ben Dixon Phillips in 2000 and dr. Koy Wright Phillips in 1995.
Visitation with the family and friends was held 4 until 8 p.m., Monday May 31.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Flat Creek United Methodist Church or the building fund for the Argie Cooper Public Library.
Augusta Ann Talley
Augusta Ann Talley, 82, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home with Rich glass officiating. Burial will take place in the Loveless Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Ollie Murphy.
Survivors include son Clarence Eddie Talley of Summertown; daughter Freddie Modrall of Lawrenceburg; brother Alvin Murphy of Lawrenceburg; and sister Tommie Southall of Columbia.
She was preceded in death by husband Clarence Talley.

Mrs. Rosie Skinner
Mrs. Rosie Hue Scott Skinner, 89, resident of Howard Moore Lane in Culleoka, died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with Tim McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Williamson County native was the daughter of the late Edmund Walter Scott and Susan Annis Beard Scott. On January 27, 1932 she married Jim Tom Skinner who preceded her in death October 23, 1983. She was a member of Culleoka Church of Christ.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Daisy Lee Pearl (Barney) Cannady of Culleoka, Mrs. Annie Jean Cannady of Unionville, Mrs. Betty Carolyn (Jerry) Cheek of Culleoka, Mrs. Audrey Faye (Jim) Savage of Murfreesboro, Mrs. Kathy Louise Arzadon of Culleoka; four sons, Jim Frank (Agnes) Skinner of Williamsport, William Edward Skinner and John Randolph Skinner both of Culleoka, Larry Wayne (Bonnie) Skinner of Dyersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Marlin and Miss Hazel Scott both of Franklin; twenty-five grandchildren including Ricky Vinson Wimberly of Culleoka, whom she raised; forty-five great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lillie Marie Skinner and son, Tommy Ray Skinner.
Pallbearers will be Brian Geerts, Harry Marlin, Jim Skinner, Tim Cannady, Don Cannady, Tommy Skinner, Jr., Ricky Wayne Lamb, Scott Lamb, Bryant Brewer, Comer Brewer, Charles Southern, Adam Southern, Gart Davis, Jon Anderson, Joseph Hedrick, Sam Haywood and Chris Faulkner.
Arnold 'Al' Foster
Arnold Lodgin Foster, 79, a resident of Brannon Court in Columbia died Saturday May 29, 2004 at Hidden Acres Nursing Home.
Service for Mr. Foster will be conducted at 7 p.m Tuesday June 1, 2004, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bob Brewer officiating. Inurnment will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends begining at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late, William Franklin and Sally Pearl Overstreet Foster. He was the husband of the late Katheline Foster. He was a retired truck driver for Civil Construction Company in Nashville, Tennessee. He was of Church of Christ faith
He is survived by a sister, Melba Cheek of Lawrenceburg; nieces, Wanda Burns of Theta community, Shelby Johnson and Peggy McClain both of Mt. Pleasant, Barbara Rummage of Columbia, Linda Foster of Atlanta, Ga., Shelia Burns and Judy Logue both of Columbia, Kathy Cheek of Suwannee, Ga.; nephews, Mike Burns of Columbia, TN, Rusty Foster of Memphis, Ricky Foster of Columbia, Steve Foster of Pensacola, Fla., Randy Foster of Texas, Mike Foster and Sammy Logue of Columbia, Rex Cheek of Oldsmar, Fla. and a special great-niece, Macenze White.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Eugenia Logue, Lela Walker, Bobbie Burns, Christine Lancaster and Doris King Chappell; two brothers, Ernest Foster and V. M. "Pete" Foster; one niece, Sandra Lancaster Potts and one nephew, Danny Lancaster.

Thomas H. Zank
Mr. Thomas Henry "Tom" Zank, 50, a resident of Jacobs Road in Columbia, died Sunday, May 30, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Presently, no services for Mr. Zank are scheduled. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
Formerly of Berwyn, Ill., he moved to Columbia in Febuary, 1992. He was the son of John C. and Bernice Bolezowski Zank and husband of Sheryl Vorlicky Zank. He was an op tech for the Saturn Corporation.
In addition to his wife and parent, he is survived by a son, Bryan Zank of Columbia; a daughter, Katie Zank of Columbia; two brothers, J. Allen (Patricia) Zank of Berwyn, Ill. and Robert (Tracy) Zank of Homer Glen, Ill.; a sister, Roseanne (Dr. Patrick) McGrath of Lockport, Ill.; mother ņin-law, Sylvia Vorlicky of Berwyn, Ill.; brother-in-law, Bob Vorlicky, Berwyn, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Vernon Vorlicky.
Caity Hardiman
Caity Hardiman, 7, died May 31 at Hillside Hospital Pulaski.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carr and Erwin Chapel, with Burial to follow at Stella Cemetary.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
She was the Duaghter of Paul Hardiman and Janie Kimbrough.
She is also survived by brother Hunter Hardiman and sister Beth Hardiman, both of Stella; and by four grandparents.
Emma Ann Osteen
LEWISBURG - Mrs. Emma Ann Osteen, 94, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at her residence in the Hardison Mill Community of Marshall County.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Hank Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Allen Cemetery in the Caney Springs Community of Marshall County. Visitation will be until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was the daughter of the late John and Julia Massey Echols and was adopted and raised by Dave and Elizabeth Sullenger. She was a retired nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Thomas "Jodie" Osteen.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Osteen Frye of the Hardison Mill Community; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
The family requests memorial gifts be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim in Columbia.
Maggie Lee Tarpley Rice
LAWRENCEBURG - Maggie Lee Tarpley Rice, 91, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Countryside Healthcare.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Neal Funeral Home with Mike McNutt officiating. Burial will be in Ethridge Masonic Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Jerome E. Tarpley and Cynthia Anne Wall Tarpley. She was a homemaker and member of Unity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Batson Rice; and a daughter, Annabelle Lotspiech Petrosky.
Survivors include two grandchildren.
Mr. Virgil S. Wilhite Jr.
Mr. Virgil S. Wilhite Jr., 90, retired from the United States Air Force, a farmer and a resident of Enterprise Road near Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Services for Mr. Wilhite will be conducted at a time to be announced later by the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.

SPRING HILL - Florence Ann Cornell, 64, died Friday, May 28, 2004, at her residence in Columbia.
Services were conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home. Interment
followed at the memorial park.
She was the daughter of the late Lyle and Grace Schwendy Myers. She was a retired employee of Kodak and was of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by sons, Rick Cornell and Ray Cornell; and her brother, Junior Myers.
Survivors include a son, Darren Cornell of Columbia; a daughter, Sherry Rickman of Columbia; a brother, Francis Myers of New York; sisters, Irene Woodhouse, Theresa Woodhouse and Euhlene Cavanaugh, all of New York; and four grandchildren.
Henry Cullum Alsup
PULASKI - Henry Cullum Alsup, 102, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Countryside Health Care Center in Lawrenceburg.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Minor Hill Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Thompson Alsup.
Survivors include daughters, Bertha Franks of Leoma and Nell McConnell of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
