Mrs. Margaret Odom
Mrs. Margaret "Dolly" Davis Odom, 84, a resident of Dugger Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, August 6, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Odom will be conducted Sunday, August 8, at 4:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Randy McNeece officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 2:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William Allen and Mary Alice Chapman Davis and widow of Jim Cecil Wiley Odom. She was a retired seamstress with the Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing and a homemaker. She was a member of the Sandy Hook Church of Christ.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty (James) Gray and Ina (Ricky) Lovell both of Mt. Pleasant and Kathy (Mike) Skora of Nashville; a son, Buford (Shirley) Odom of New Orleans, LA; a daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Odom of Crawford, GA; four sisters, Katie McKennon and Mildred Stokes, both of Nashville, Annie Bell Buchanan of Mt. Pleasant and Cora Faye (Willie) Bennett of Summertown; a brother, Clarence Davis of Mt. Pleasant; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Felix Odom; a sister, Florence Workman; three brothers, Elvin Davis, Cleveland Davis and Levi Davis.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will granddaughters.

Mrs. Geneva Kennedy
Mrs. Geneva Odell Holden Kennedy, 84, a resident of North High Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Hidden Acres Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kennedy will be conducted Tuesday August 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Charles Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Lawrence County native was the daughter of late James and Ada Holloway Holden. She was a retired CNA from Hillview Health Care. Mrs. Kennedy was a former owner and operator at the South Main CafE in Mt. Pleasant. She was a homemaker and loved her grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Deane (Jimmy) Hendrix and Jerry L (Darlene) Kennedy both of Mt. Pleasant, TN; three grandsons, Richard Kennedy of Nashville, TN, Reece Colvett of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Mitch (Sabrina) Hendrix of Summertown, TN; two loving granddaughters, Shannon Workman, Connie (Jason) Hyatt and two other granddaughters, Nikki (Bruce) McKennon and Andrea (Johnny) Cates all of Mt. Pleasant, TN; four special great-grandchildren, Stacia Mckennon, Jacob Hyatt, Paige Colvett, Brandon Workman and seven other great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Freddy Arnold Kennedy; a daughter, Shirley Colvett; a great-granddaughter, Kayla Colvett.
Pallbearers will be Richard Kennedy, Reece Colvett, Brandon Workman, Jacob Hyatt, Logan Hendrix, Jerico McKennon, Jason Hyatt and Mitch Hendrix.
Honorary pallbearers will be nurses and staff of Hidden Acres Health Care; special friends, Linda Johnson Fitzgerald and Linda Davis; a special child, Tristan "Little Man" Hyatt.
James Thompson
Pulaski - James H. Thompson, 53, died Thursday, Aug. 5, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
Services will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at Baxter Bros. Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Aug. 10.
He was the son of the late Jim and Josephine Thompson.
Survivors include his daughter, Jaquel Patton; brother, Jim Jr. Thompson; brother, Billy Calvin Thompson; and sister, Barbara Jean Thompson.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Peggy Sue Pickett Jones
Prospect - Peggy Sue Pickett Jones, 57, died Saturday Aug. 7, 2004, at St. Thomas.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10. at Carr-Erwin Chapel.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12-9 p.m. Monday.
She was the son of the late Earl Pickett Jr. and wife of the late Thomas Jerry Jones.
Survivors include her mother, Maebelle Shelton, of Prospect; son, Tommy Jones, of Prospect; daughter, Teresa Jones, of Prospect, sister, Judy Gail Pickett, of Prospect; sister, Shirley Pickett Grise, of Cambellsville; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Blanche Llewellyn Green
Blanche Llewellyn Green, 88, of Nashville, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Funeral Home with Dr. Bill M. Starnes officiating. Internment was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Tom and Ophelia Green of Lexington, Ala. She was the wife of the late Lloyd Mount Llewellyn. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, John Mark Allen. She was a member of Woodbine United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Wynelle E. Allen of Pulaski and Mary Ann (Keith) Crowe of Nashville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Johnnie Lois Higdon
Mrs. Johnnie Lois Higdon, 96, died Sunday, August 8, 2004, at NHC Healthcare.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cornersville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery.
The Marshall County native was the daughter of the late Lish and Ada Maude Wade Fowler. She was the wife of the late John Higdon. She was a member of Cornersville Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Melba Martin of Lewisburg and Christine Lemieus of Hermitage; sister, Selma Church of Lewisburg; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-greatgrandchildren.
Gary Eells
Gary Clyde Eells, 52, of Leoma, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at his residence.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Neal Funeral Home. Visitation will be held all day Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be with full military honors at Bishop Chapel Cemetery.
He was the son of the late Lizzie Fisher McDow and Clifford Clyde Eells. He was a truck driver for Doss Brothers. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Eells of Leoma; sons, Dewayne Eells of Lawrenceburg, Staci Eells and Dustin Eells, both of Columbia; daughter, Tracy Eells of Lawrenceburg; step-son, Derrick Mote of Columbia; brothers, Jerry Fisher of Lawrenceburg and E.H. Eells of Loretto; sisters, Carolyn Smith, Martha Crosby, Sheila Martin, all of Lawrenceburg, and Frances Mullins of Summertown; and seven grandchildren.
Mattie Reynolds Sanders
Mattie Wilburn Reynolds Sanders, 100, of Leoma, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Countryside Healthcare.

She was the daughter of the late Hattie Day and Thomas Wilburn. She was the widow of Claude Reynolds and Rob Sanders.
Survivors include her step-daughter, JoAnn Ezell of Leoma.
Frances Jo Hopkins
Frances Jo Hopkins, 90, of the Brick Church Community, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at the Hillside Hospital in Pulaski.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday by graveside at the Brick Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.

Imogene Tharp
Imogene Tharp, 84, of Hohenwald, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home with Jack Tharp officiating. Burial will be in the Swiss Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Occiedent (Vaughn) Poore and Alonzo Coble Poore. She was the wife of the late Clyde Edwin Tharp. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Evan , Carl, and Edwin Poore; and a granddaughter, Dana Tharp.
Survivors include her son, Wayne Tharp and Mack Tharp, both of Hohenwald; a daughter, Shirley Shipp of Hohenwald; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Cornelia Bright McCandless, 101, of Columbia, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at her residence.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service. Internment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
She was the wife of the late Aubey G. McCandless and a member of River Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Erving; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Bertie Mae Sandlin Pinkelton
Mrs. Bertie Mae Sandlin Pinkelton, 89, died Sunday, August 8, 2004, at her residence on Donald Avenue in Goodlettsville.

A native of Blount Springs, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Leeander Sandlin and Arena Flora Cochran Sandlin. She was married to John Mark Pinkelton who preceded her in death on October 13, 1982. Mrs. Pinkelton was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin, Tennessee.
Survivors include two sons, Ray (Peggy) Pinkelton of Goodlettsville; Roy Pinkelton of Martin; one sister, Betty Jean (C. L.) Bassham of Leoma; one granddaughter, Tina (Mike) Dunn of Kingston Springs; two step grandchildren, Jack Blair of Nashville; Jenny (Charles) Caldwell of White House; three step great-grandsons, Blake Caldwell, Chase Caldwell, and Cody Caldwell, all of White House; two brothers-in-law, James Cross of Columbia; G L. Pace of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mable Pace, and one brother, Clyde Sandlin.
Pallbearers will be Mike Dunn, Raymond Staggs, Jeff Jones, Glenn Wisdom, Matthew Ezell, and Hillard Cross.

Josephine Scott, 90, died Sunday, August 8, 2004, at Lincoln Care Center.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Gallant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was the daughter of the late T.A. Garrett and Nell Whitt Garrett. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Scott.

She was the daughter of the late Noah Francis Bassett and Mary Palestine Blair Bassett. She was retired from Frito Lay and a member of Park Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Byrd.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur McFall Jr.; two brothers, Luther Armstrong and Arthur Cooper Armstrong; and three sisters, Alice Armstrong Daniel, Melissa Armstrong Pittman and Namie Armstrong Fennell.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Rochelle Lyles of Lilburn, Ga.; a son, Thomas Maurice McFall of Lilburn, Ga.; two sisters, Louwilie Armstrong Baugus and Mary Agnes Armstrong Walker, both of Lansing, Mich.
