Mr. Charlie Graham
MT. PLEASANT - Mr. Charlie "Old Folks" Graham, 69 , died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at his residence on First Avenue in Mt. Pleasant.
Services for Mr. Graham will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Charlie Denton and Lillie Frances Boshers Graham. He was the husband of the late Wanda Osborne Graham, who died in 1997. He was a mechanic for Norman's Body Shop in Mt. Pleasant.
He is survived by a son, Charlie (Vicky) Graham Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; three daughters, Emily Orr of Hampshire, Robin Chapman of Duck River and Stella Grimes of Columbia; six grandchildren, Ashley Graham of Mt. Pleasant, Mary (Donnie) Bunch of Duck River, Amanda Gilbert of Columbia, Trey Gilbert of Jacksonville, Fla., and Charles Orr and Lawanda Orr of Hampshire; two sisters, Frances "B.D." Graham Howell and Lena Ophelia King of Duck River; a sister-in-law, Viola Osborne of Mt. Pleasant; a brother and sister-in-law, Eleanor and Steve Osborne of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Donny Bunch, George Chapman, Todd King, Robert Teal, Bobby Brown and Robert Gatlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony King and his nephews.
Thomas 'Greyeagle' Roberson
DUCK RIVER - Thomas "Greyeagle" Roberson, 62, of Duck River, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, in Columbia.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. J.D. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Ring Cemetery in the Pottsville Community.
The Maury County native was the son of the late John and Rosie Kate Slaughter Roberson.
He was a retired construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle Roberson of Duck River; daughters, Tammy Roberson, April Roberson and Carmon Roberson, all of Hickman County; a step-daughter, Cassandra Montgomery of Duck River; a son, Thomas Roberson Jr. of Hickman County; and brothers, Paul Roberson of Franklin, Richard Roberson of Smyrna and Golden Roberson of Bradyville.
Betty Mae Rosson
Betty Mae Rosson, 81, of Lawrenceburg, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at Crockett Hospital.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Glen Rosson of Lawrenceburg; daughters, Shirley Ramsey and Joyce Gaines, both of Lawrenceburg; sister, Mamie Chapman of Lawrenceburg; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Sandra Kay Boyer
Sandra Kay Boyer, 58, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at her residence.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at London Funeral Home.
The Shelby County native was the daughter of Evie Allean Ault Souter of Memphis and the late Frank Lamar Souter. She was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in a New Jersey Hospital.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Robert Ellis Caneer of Lewisburg; sons, Bryan Finney and Robert Finney, both of Memphis and Randall Kennedy of Quitman, Ark.; and a sister, Vicki Howton of Oklahoma.
Mrs. Coleah Louise Henson
Mrs. Coleah Louise Zeigler Dunavant Henson, 91, a former longtime resident of South Main St. in Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at Columbia Care and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia.
Services for Mrs. Henson will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with the Rev. Bob Adair officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The Giles County native was the daughter of the late James Taylor and Maxie Hannah Zeigler. She was first married to the late Buford Dunavant, who died in 1968, and then she was married to the late Virgil Henson, who died in 1999. She was a retired door greeter at K-mart, a member of Maury Regional Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, an avid gardener and a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church.
Mrs. Henson is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Frank) Nicholson, Linda Dixon, both of Columbia and Sherri Bowman, of Chapel Hill, NC; a son, Harry (Ruth) Dunavant of Columbia; a brother, Cyril (Josephine) Zeigler of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Wallace; a grandson, Anthony Wallace; three brothers, Loyd Zeigler, Andy Zeigler and Denzil Zeigler; a sister, Ruth Manning.
Pallbearers will be Tim Nicholson, Keith Dixon, Ronnie Dixon, Richard Dunavant, Tracy Dunavant, Gene Fields, Kelsey Walker and Bill Zeigler. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of the Highland Park Baptist Church.
Marie Sayre
Marie Frances Sayre, 82, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Services were conducted by graveside at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mimosa Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Tekavec and Jay Sayre. She was the wife of the late Anna Tekavec. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Fowler of Athens, Ala.; a son, Doug Sayre of Lawrenceburg; and a granddaughter.
Billy Wayne Hopper
Billy Wayne Hopper, 60, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, in Marshall Medical Center.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at London Funeral Home. Visitation began Wednesday and will continue until the funeral hour Thursday. Burial will be in Hopper Cemetery in the Laws Hill Community.
The Marshall County native was the son of the late James Alden and Lorene Wallace Hopper. He was an employee of H & H Logging Co.
Survivors include his daughters, Christy Lynn Cole of Cornersville and Selena Faye Swineheart of Lewisburg; sisters, Virginia Odell Hargrove and Patsy Ann Hopper, both of Lewisburg; and five grandchildren.
Bobby O. Hardison
Bobby O. Hardison, 64, of Columbia, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Services will be conducted at 12 noon Friday at Friendship M.B. Church with the Rev. Alvin Anderson, Sr. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Baxter Brothers Funeral Home.
He was the son of the late Robert Doris and Penina Holt Hardison. He was the husband of Annie C. Booker Hardison. He was a member of Friendship M.B. Church.

Mary 'Polly' Hollman Beckman
Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Hollman Beckman, 78, of Loretto, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Crockett Hospital.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with Father Matt and Deacon Sammy Beckman officiating. Burial will follow in Loretto Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The Lawrence County native was a retired floral designer and operated Beckman Florist for over 40 years. She was a member of Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lennie Hollman; son, Robert F. Beckman; brothers, J.W. and Andrew Hollman; and sisters, Helen Gabel, Johanna Beckman, Lou Edna Gressman, Betty Perrin and Mary Hollman.
Survivors include her husband, Julius Beckman of Loretto; son, John Anthony Beckman of Loretto; daughters, Jane Beckman of Bowling Green, Ky., Rosa Marie Hill of Ethridge and Anna Beckman Bruninga of Killen, Ala.; 7 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Myrtle Warren Richardson
Myrtle Inez Warren Richardson, 89, retired employee of LeeMar Shirt Factory and resident of Bunker Hill Community in Giles County, died Thursday, August 26, 2004, at Lincoln Care Center in Fayetteville.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bunker Hill Church of God with David Ford officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will visit with friends after 12 noon Friday at the church. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Dan A. Warren and Dolly A. Mitchell Warren. She was married to Lonnie Claude Richardson who preceded her in death on March 12, 1996. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Bunker Hill Church of God and the Church Missionary Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn (Leonard) Jones of Pulaski; Nannette Webb of Lincoln Care Center in Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Sandra Richardson of Bradenton, Fla.; one brother, Leon (Eudora) Warren of Lewisburg; two sisters, Gladys Wiser of Fayetteville; Myron Pruitt of Pulaski; 10 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Harold Wayne Richardson; one brother, Leonard Warren; and three sisters, Rosa Belle Barnes, Edna Hodges, and Dorothy Pardon.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Mary Katheryn Davis "Nannie" Nelson, age 77, of Kingston, died Thursday morning August 26, 2004 at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center.

She was a member of Morrison Hill Christian Church and a retired secretary from the maintenance division of K-25.
A devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother to her surviving husband of 53 years, Darrell Nelson of Kingston; her daughters & sons-in-law, Elaine & Steve Patterson of Kingston, Darlene & Mike Kolodi of Kingston, and Patty & Chris Perry of Cincinnati, OH; her grandchildren, Kevin & Mark Patterson, Mitch & Katie Kolodi and Kent Perry; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the daughter of the late Eliza Lou Ella Bonner and William Edward Akins. She was a homemaker and wife of the late Adolf Gustoff Helin.
Survivors include her step-sons, Edward Helin of Los Angeles, Calif. and Donald Helin of Concoran, Calif.; a sister, Nella Mae Cox of Five Points; five step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.

The Rutherford County native was the office manager for H & R Block. She was a member of the East Hill Church of Christ. She was the daughter of Lena Grace Tassey of Pulaski and the late John Donald Tassey.

The Marshall County native was the son of the late Logan and Nannie Mae Turner Mealer. He was a former employee of Dalton Lumber Company of Lewisburg. He attended the Baptist church.
