LINDEN - Theodore Clint Grinder, 81, died May 2, 2004, at Perry Community Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at McDonald Funeral Home with Andy Baker officiating. Visitation will be at 5;30 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2004. Burial will be in the Ary.
He was the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Ary) Grinder and a veteran, having served in World War II.
Survivors include wife Lee Geraldine (Skelton) Grinder; son Steve Grinder of Nashville; daughter Cathey Roberson of Hohenwald; Stepdaughters Susan Baker and Jane Ann Johnson; sister Cletis Richardson; two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by late wife Evelyn (Page) Grinder, and granddaughter Shana Roberson.
Irene Lawson
HOHENWALD - Irene Lawson, 90, died Sunday May 2, 2004 at Lewis County Manor.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 at McDonald Funeral Home. Johnny Clayton will officiate. Visitation will be Monday May 3 at 4:30 p.m.
She was a homemaker and wife of lat Guy Linden Lawson. She was the daughter of John David and Flora Hollis.
She is survived by sons James H. Lawson of Hohenwald, William T. Lawson of Hohenwald and Richard E. Lawson of Murfreesboro; sister Hazel Dozier of Milton; and six grandchildren.
Maxnell Robinson
HILLSBORO, Mo. - The Rev. Maxnell "M.G." Robinson, 75, died Saturday, May 1, 2004, in his home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, Mo. with the Rev. Casey Reed officiating. Burial will be at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, Mo.
A Baptist Minster of 39 years, he was the son of the late Boyd and Eva (Hatley) Robinson.
Survivors include wife Robbie (Barnett) Robinson; sons Rick (Beverly) Robinson of Culleoka and Dennis (Sheryl) Robinson, Farmington Mo.; and nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Juanita Irwin
MT. JOY - Mrs. Juanita Hines Irwin, 79, widow of James Dillard Irwin Sr. died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at her residence.
Services for Mrs. Irwin will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev Dwight Liles officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Seth and Ruth Skillern Hines. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter. She was a member of the Mt. Joy Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by son James Dillard (Reatha) Irwin of Santa Fe; daughter Juana (Don) McKinney of the Mt. Joy Community; sister Ann McPherson of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jerrie (Dennis) Manning and Jackie (Lucy) McKinney both of the Mt. Joy Community, Derrick (Kim) Irwin of Gallatin, Rachel Irwin of Hohenwald; great-grandchildren, Michael Manning, Andrea Manning, Katherine McKinney, Danielle McKinney, James McKinney and McKenzie Irwin.
She was preceded in death by brother Larmore Hines.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hines, George Whitwell Jr., William Lamar, Odell Haywood, Anthony Gordon and Jack Crews.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Mt. Joy Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Reverend Dwight Liles.

William Franklin Staggs, 77, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Weakley County Nursing Home.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home with burial in Barnesville Cemetery.
He was the son of the late Amos Clifford Staggs and Mary Louiza Weaver Staggs. He was a retired factory worker.
Survivors include a brother, Homer Staggs of Lawrenceburg; and a sister, Bertie Louise Carey of Lawrenceburg.

She was the daughter of the late Bud and Lennie Helton. She was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Helton and Winfred Helton.

Mrs. Clifford Dodson Baker, 85, widow of Woodrow Wilson Baker and retired office clerk for Graham Paper Company, died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at Mayfield Rehab in Smyrna.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Butner of Big Pine Key, Fla.; two granddaughters, Carole (Scott) Humphrey of Hermitage and Renee Butner of Hendersonville; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Humphrey, Will Humphrey and Luke Humphrey of Hermitage. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Dodson.

John Louis McFadden, 88, died Saturday, May 1, 2004.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan, Ind. Burial will be in the Little Flock Cemetery at Shelburn, Ind. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
He was the son of the late Dorsie McFadden and Hattie McCollough McFadden. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church, Sullivan American Legion and the Sullivan Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ravenell Taylor McFadden.
Survivors include daughters, Connie Strain of Columbia and Kathy Baker of Sullivan, Ind.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mary Ellen Caneer
CORNERSVILLE - Mary Ellen Caneer, 96, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, in Marshall Medical Center.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. at Cornersville Funeral Home with burial in Short Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday until the funeral hour.
She was the daughter of the late James F. And Willie Maude Murray Wolaver. She owned and operated a grocery and general merchandise store in the Spring Place Community and was a member of Medium Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Caneer Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Gardner of Atlanta; son, Clifford Caneer of Cornersville; and three grandchildren.

PULASKI - Harold Hemphill, 63, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Gatlin Cemetery at Ardmore. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was the son of the late John and Daisy Mae Tillery Hemphill. He worked at Magotteaux.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hemphill of Oak Grove Community; a son, Steve Hemphill of Anthony Hill Community; brothers, Bobby and Don Hemphill, both of Columbia; a sister, Edith Woodard of Pulaski; and one grandchild.
Mrs. Lucille Lettenmaier
Mrs. Lucille Holder Lettenmaier, 81, a resident of West 14th Street in Columbia, died Monday, May 3, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lettenmaier will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points and Brother Tony Collins officiating. Entombment will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends from Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Ernest P. and Lina Hutton Holder and widow Otto Lettenmaier. She was retired from Taylor's Laundry and was employed in the laundry industry in St. Paul, Minnesota.
She is survived by a sister, Rose Murphy of Yucca Valley, Calif.; eleven nieces, Pauline Holmes and Ruby Freeman, both of Cullman, Ala., Carilon Martin of Georgetown, Texas., Betty Ferguson of Mt. Pleasant, Ann Stewart of Columbia, Peggy Workman, Linda Yant, Wanda Beaver, all of Pulaski, Belinda Murphy, Lisa Murphy and Selestine Murphy, all of California; twelve nephews, Jimmy Murphy, Robert Murphy, Richard Holder, all of California, Billy Johnson of Columbia, Larry Johnson and Mike Johnson, both of Pulaski, Ronald Holder, Donald Holder and Bruce Holder, all of Cullman, Ala., Bobby Holder and James Holder, both of Florida and Robert Holder of Alabama; a very special friend, John Black of Columbia.
