Born in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Shirley E. and Norene Collier Jacobs and wife of the late Lyndol E. Orr. A homemaker, she and her husband restored antique furniture, worked flea markets and yard sales. She attended Woodmont Baptist Church in Nashville.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Sue Orr (Bill) Corn of Etowah; a son, Donald Edwin (Corinne) Orr of Columbia; two sisters, Oma Lee Campbell and Bettie June Johnson, both of Decatur, Ala.; four grandchildren, Lonnie Orr and Jimmy Orr, both of Columbia, Angel Alston of Atlanta, Ga., and Jennifer Myers of Raleigh, N.C.; a step-granddaughter, April Corn Womack of Knoxville; four great-grandchildren, Madison Alston and Victor Alston, both of Atlanta, Ga., and Connor Myers and Aidan Phillip Myers, both of Raleigh, N.C.
She was preceded in death by one brother, S.E. Jacobs Jr.
Pallbearers will be Terry Hodge, Ricky Hodge, Lonnie Orr, Jimmy Orr, Steve Orr and Billy Ray King. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the Church of God of Prophecy, Bobby Orr and grandsons-in-law.

Marjorie Meloon Gold, 87, a resident of Austell Drive in Columbia, died Saturday, April 10, 2004, while visiting in Houston, Texas. A memorial service will be held in Buffalo, N.Y., where she grew up, with her friends and family. Survivors include her one son, John Gold Jr. (Shirley) of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Beverly Harris of Columbia; four grandchildren, Kimberly Gold of Houston, Texas, John Gold III (Gemma) of Austin, Texas, Tyson (Becky) Harris of Lynnville and Vicki Harris of St. Georges, Grenada; two great-granddaughters, Samantha Harris and Savannah Harris, both of Lynnville; and one sister of Arcade, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gold Sr.; her parents, Harry and Melinda Meloon; two brothers, Richard Meloon and Robert Meloon; one sister, Esther Nowka; and a son-in-law, Jr. Harris.

Mrs. Cora Beatrice Franks Roberts, 91, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at her residence on Pickens Lane. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Polly Jett and Verna Farris, both of Columbia; one sister, Ella Lester of Nashville; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Miss Mary Allyne Tyler, 78, resident of Heritage Manor and Columbia Care and Rehab Center, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. The Rutland, Ohio, native was the daughter of the late Glen and Nellie Amanda Saxton Price. She was a cook at the Grand Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and the Groveport Lounge in Groveport, Ohio. She was a member of the Jackson Heights Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Elliott and Jesse James Reed. He was the husband of the late Annie Laura Arnold Reed. He was a former machinist at AVCO. He was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Reed; and a daughter, Judy Reed. Survivors include daughters, Bonnie Quillen of Centerville, Connie Cochran of Little Lot and Elizabeth Jackson of Nunnelly; a son, James Reed of Nunnelly; brothers, Clarence Reed of Texas and Roy Reed of Arkansas; a sister, Thelma Traweek of Texas; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

WEST POINT- Marie Crouch Kilbur McGee, 77, of West Point, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, at her residence. The Lawrence County native was the daughter of the late E.H. and Willie Elizabeth Crouch. She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Freemon Kilburn and J.D. McGee; a daughter, Debra Kilburn; four sisters and five brothers. Survivors include a son, David Kilburn of Savannah, Ga.; a stepson, Don McGee; stepdaughters, Myra Conner, Linda Sandlin and Kathy Mills; a sister, Thelma Riddle; a brother, Willie J. Crouch; two grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
Mr. Gordon Nichols
Mr. Gordon Wilson Nichols,64 , died Friday April 30, 2004, at his residence on Union Place.

Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors being provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The Moundville, Ala. native was the son of the late Wilson Agee Nichols and Inez Wyatt Nichols Odom. He was the husband of Peggy Kelley Nichols of Columbia. He was a retired storeroom employee at Union Carbide Corportation. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 until 1962. He was a former member of Herbert Griffin American Legion Post # 19. He was a long-time member of the Columbia Bowling Association. He attended Pleasant Heights Baptist Church where he was a member of Good News Sunday School Class.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Mark (Deana) Nichols of Columbia and Randall (Tracy) Nichols Of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Michael Nichols and Brittany Nichols, both of Columbia, Holly Nichols of Flatwoods; three brothers, Milton (Brenda) Nichols of Jacksonville, Fla., Gary (Terri) Odom of Columbus, Ohio and Kenny (Linda) Odom of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Odom.
Pallbearers will be Michael Nichols, Darren Nichols, Jeff Neighbors, Keith Runions, Eddie Dean Kelley and George Hinton.

He was the son of late Walter Lee Lewis and Jocie Smith and a self-employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by daughter Kay Field; brothers Walter Lewis, Glen Lewis, Floyd Lewis, Boyd Lewis; and by sister Mattie Pearl Griggs.
Survivors include wife Rebecca James; daughters Ann (Thomas) Mobley of Nunnelly and Doris (Tom) VanCleve of Calhoun, Ky.; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

RINGGOLD, Ga. - Ralph "King B" Patterson, 69, of Ringgold, Ga., died Friday, April, 30, 2004, at his residence.

The Georgia resident was a member of the North Whitfield Baptist Church. He was a retired dairy farmer in Catoosa County and was an avid C.B. Radio operator. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline McBrayer Patterson and a son, Thomas Autry.
Survivors include his sons, Ralph Shields of New Market, Ala., Harvey Patterson of Lynnville; daughters, Rebecca Ann Bivens of Ringgold, Ga., Michelle Braly, of Columbia, and Mary Massey of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Nathan Anderson and Ethel Whiteside Anderson. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ.
She was married in 1946 to Elmer Olney "Dick" Riley, who died February 13, 1973.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Ann Riley and Nita Carol (Tommy) Lentz, both of Columbia; a sister, Mary Tom Smith of Columbia; three grandchildren, Shea Lentz, Scott Lentz and Shelby Lentz, all of Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Olney Ray "Dickey" Riley; two sisters, Edna Dunn and Agnes Baker; two brothers, Edgbert Anderson and Simpson Anderson.

Mrs. Evelyn Thompson
Mrs. Evelyn Southern Thompson, 76, widow of A.M. Thompson and a resident of Transit Avenue in Columbia, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at the home of her sister on Bernhardt Boulevard in Columbia.
Services for Mrs. Thompson were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with the Rev. Mike Dawson and Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial was in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family visited with friends from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The Williamson County native was the daughter of the late Perry Francis and Evelyn Warren Southern. She retired as a seamstress for Publix and was a former employee of Dixie Manufacturing and Focus Foundation. She was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, George Tommy (Ruby) Thompson and Francis M. (Joyce) Thompson, both of Columbia; two stepsons, Larry (Carol) Depp of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Matt (Debbie) Thompson of Branchful, Ala.; five grandchildren, Melissa (Albert) Lynn and Kimberly Thompson, both of Columbia, and Angela (Chris) Thomas, Tammy (Wesley) Hart and George Tommy Thompson Jr., all of Johnson City; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annette Balcom of Monroe, N.C., and Edith Love of Columbia; and three brothers, Charles Southern of Columbia, John Southern of Johnson City and J.M. Southern of Fresno, Calif.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice Lynnville and Sylvia Southern.
Pallbearers will be Enoch George, Bobby Adkinson, Royal Dickson, Gary Beatty, Larry Lynn and Dwayne Waire.
