Mrs. Nellie Mae Lemay Thomason, 92, widow of Houston Thomason, Sr. and a resident of Gardner Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at Columbia Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Thomason will be conducted Friday, December 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Brother Billy Dean Felker and Brother Dalton Cole officiating. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Lawrence County native was the daughter of the late Albert Ross and Minnie Bell Thomas Lemay. Mrs. Thomason was a homemaker, farmer, and a member of the Porter’s Chapel Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Houston (Dorothy) Thomason, Jr. of Columbia, TN and Willis Howard (Dorothy) Lemay of Mt. Pleasant, TN; a sister, Mary Bell (Jake) Metlock of Brentwood, TN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Robert Allen, Billy Ray Lemay, Bobby Lemay, Claude Lemay, John “Junior” Lemay, and Darrell King. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Lanton Church of Christ.

Mrs. Helen Louise Ballard Lindsey, 80, a resident of Thomas Avenue in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at NHC/Columbia.
Graveside services for Mrs. Lindsey will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Polk Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Philip Lawson officiating. The family visited with friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Covington native was the daughter of the late Edward and Ollie Overton Smith Ballard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Stanley Lindsey, in 1995. Mrs. Lindsey was a wonderful wife, mother, housewife and grandmother. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Hann and Barbara (Jimmy) McNeese, both of Columbia; a son, John W. (Ann) Lindsey of Andrews, Texas; grandchildren, Keith Rochelle of Nolensvile, Johnny Jay Lindsey of Andrews, Texas, Kim White and Teresa Hann, both of Columbia, Sonya Lindsey of Andrew, Texas, Travis Hann of Columbia and Justin Lindsey of Andrew, Texas; great-grandchildren, Brian Hann and Tiffani White, both of Columbia, Austin Lindsey of Oklahoma and Joshua Hann of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. William Robinson, men and ladies of the adult Sunday School Class of the Church of God of Prophecy and friends of Thomas Avenue.

Mr. Corbet William “C.W.” Wade, 68, a resident of the Mt Joy Community died Friday, December 10, 2004.
Funeral services for Mr. Wade will be conducted Sunday, December 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend Wayne Parks and Reverend Gary Tubb officiating. A family graveside will be held Monday December 13, 2004 at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
The Hickman County native was the son of the late William Corbet and Dila Harber Wade. He was the husband of Wilma Bates Wade of the Mt Joy Community. Mr. Wade was owner and operator of Mt. Pleasant Transfer. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church and former member of the Tennessee National Guard.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Joe Stephen (Judy) Wade, Michael Bates (Lynn) Wade and Stephanie (Jimmy) Palmer all of Mt. Pleasant, TN; grandchildren, Emily Wade, Timothy Wade, Kelsey Wade, Will Palmer, Megan Palmer all of Mt. Pleasant, TN; a brother, Harber (Georgena) Wade of Gallatin, TN.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Elmer and Leon Wade.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy McClain, Jerry Allen, William Owens, Jerry Bates, David Johnson, Mac Holland, Don Bates, Rick Bates, and Timothy Wade.

Mr. James H. “Jimmy” Jones, Jr., 81, a resident of North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant died Monday, July 12, 2004, at NHC-Hillview Nursing Home.
A Memorial service for Mr. Jones will be conducted Wednesday July 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Phillip Wright officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
The Mt. Pleasant native was the son of the late Dr. James H. Jones, Sr. and the late Aleen Thompson Jones. He was the husband of Louise Epps Jones of Mt. Pleasant. He attended Hay Long Elementary School, Columbia military Academy, Marion military Institute and Vanderbilt University. He was a former Vice-President of the Middle Tennessee Bank in Mt. Pleasant and a farmer. He was a member of the John Will Thompson American Legion Post # 10 and was a member and former President of the Rotary Club in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Jones was a Major in the United States Army and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Jones served as a Maury County Commissioner from 1960 until 1986 and was a member of the State Board of Education from 1965-1972 and the State Board of Regents from 1978 -1985. At Columbia State Community College, the James H. Jones, Jr. Student Center was named in his honor. Mr. Jones was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and golf.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Betsy (Bob) Duling of Columbia, TN, James H. (Anne) Jones, III of Jackson, MS and L. Epps (Stephanie) Jones of Memphis, TN; a sister, Betsy (William A.) English of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Robert Howard Duling, Jr. and Elizabeth Louise Duling both of Columbia, TN, James Henry Jones, IV, Elizabeth Gamble Jones and Margaret Lee Jones all of Jackson, MS, William Epps Jones, Sarah Margaret Jones and Charles Gamble Jones all of Memphis, TN; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mamie Jones Bennett.

Mr. Buford F. “Jack” Dugger, 65, died Monday, March 7, 2005 at his residence on Park Drive in Columbia.
Funeral services for Mr. Dugger will be conducted Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Danny Laster and Reverend Ezell Rose officiating. The Mt. Pleasant native was the son of the late Frank and Virginia Attkisson Dugger. He was retired as a Pyxis Distribution Clerk for Maury Regional Hospital, a former long-time employee of Monsanto and Mobile Chemical Companies. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant and was a model car and truck collector.
He is survived by his wife, Ines England Dugger of Columbia, TN; a brother, Charles Dugger of Mt. Pleasant; two nieces, Cindi (Junior) Hickman of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Sandy Goodwin of Columbia, TN; a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and L.V. Short of Columbia, TN; a sister-in-law, Eleanor England of Columbia, TN; his beloved Boston Terrier, Prissy. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Buford Attkisson; an aunt, Ester Attkisson Workman; a brother-in-law, Tommy England; a sister-in-law, Marie England.

Mr. Billy Eugene Lovell, 72, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at his residence on North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services for Mr. Lovell will be conducted Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Vernon Brooks officiating and a masonic rites will be Friday evening, March 11, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday and Friday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Willie T. and Bessie K. Pogue Lovell. He was the widower of Katherine Sims Lovell, who died in 1997. Mr. Lovell was currently Manager of the Mt. Pleasant Manor Apartments and a retired bricklayer for Local #5 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a member of the Meriwether Masonic Lodge #192 in Hampshire. He attended the Beech Hill Church of Christ.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Gene (Ina) Lovell Troy Lee (Donna) Lovell both of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Janice Carol Lovell of Columbia, TN, Nicholas Kodi Lovell, Benjamin Austin Lovell, Ashley Victoria Lovell, Gracelen Alexis Lovell, Gary (Debbie) Gray and Sherry (Lee) Howell all of Mt. Pleasant, TN; three great-grandchildren, Patrick Gray, Brandon Howell and Makyla Howell all of Mt. Pleasant, TN.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Margaret Lovell and a brother, Raymond Lovell.
