David D. Brown, age 50 of Dallas, TX, formerly of Kingsport passed away in Mesquite, TX. He was a member of the Colonial Heights United Methodist Church in Kingsport and graduated from U.T. in 1979 with a degree in electrical engineering.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Loraine Brown and step mother, Marie Kays Brown. He was the grandson of the late John M. and Letitia Richardson Brown of the Fincastle Community in LaFollette and George W. and Lillie Bell Lingingleter of Knoxville.
He is survived by his sisters, Janie Brown York of Memphis and Pret and Kay Diffle of Dallas, TX; brothers, Chris Brown of Houston, TX and Von Kays of Seattle, WA; several other relatives and friends.
Private graveside services and interment
were held in the Glade Springs Cemetery in LaFollette.

Chuck Ensley
Chuck Ensley, age 52, of Flintstone, GA, formerly of Caryville, passed away Jan. 30, 2006 at Hutcheson Medical Center, Inc. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and worked at TVA for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his special cousin, Diane Johnson Williams
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Joan Ensley, Jacksboro; sister, Lena Nelson and husband David; nephew, Chris Nelson and wife Jennifer; great nephew and niece, Caleb and Emaley Nelson; fiancé, Angie Abernathy
Funeral services were Feb. 1 at the Cross Chapel. Interment
will be at 11 a.m. on Feb. 2 at Campbell Memorial Gardens.

Betty S. Ensor
Betty S. Ensor, age 71 of LaFollette, passed away Jan. 28, 2006 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Susie Evans; brothers, Charlie, Henry, Herman, John, Ulyss, and Clarence W. Evans; sisters, Nell, Pauline, Cloeva, and Bess.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Ensor of LaFollette; sisters, Agnes White of WVA and Viola Lockhart of GA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and interment
were Jan. 31 at the Baird Cemetery with The Rev. Tim Dupuy officiating.

Helen Louise Ford
Helen Louise Ford, age 66, of LaFollette, passed away Jan. 26, 2006 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was a member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Burress; daughter; Cathy Wiley; sister; Aileen Burress.
She is survived by her mother, Wadena Blankenship Burress, Pensacola, Fla; daughter, Phyllis Cobbs, Pensacola, Fla; son, Billy Ford, LaFollette; three grandchildren; sisters, Gail Kimberlin and Della Falzone, both of Pensacola, Fla; brothers, Ronnie Burress of Sparta, TN and Robert Earl Burress of Shelbyville, TN.
Funeral services were Held Jan. 28 at the Cross Chapel with the Rev. Mark Partin officiating. Interment
was in the Riverview Cemetery in Smokey Junction.

Suzanne Korthauer
Suzanne Korthauer, age 70 of LaFollette passed away Jan. 20, 2006 at Sunbridge Nursing Home. She loved flowers, painting, reading and walking. She also loved her family very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Korthauer; parents, Louis and Mary Reels Bell; brother, Charlie Bell; sister, Susie Copeland.
She is survived by her son, Robert Korthauer; daughters and son in laws, Kathey and Carey Badner of Yorkville, Ill, Barbara and Carl Richard of LaFollette, Peggy and Frank Lorang of Oswego, Ill, Cindy and Ed Marschke of Matteson, Ill, Jody Parli of Fla; 16 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Aurora, IL. Her request was for no service.

Jonathan Lankford
Jonathan Lankford, age 21 of Cumberland Gap passed away Jan. 30, 2006 at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Campbell County. He was born June 12, 1984 in Harlan County, KY to Gary and Debbie Brock Lankford. He was employed at Eagle Bend Manufacturing in Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Brock Lankford; grandfather, Orville Brock; grandfather and grandmother, Andrew and Thelma Lankford.
He is survived by his father, Gary Lankford; wife, Crystal Lankford and children twenty month old Trinity and one month old Jonathon Michael Lankford; very special grandmother, Beulah Brock and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 3 at Shumate Funeral Home with Shawn Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Feb.2 at Shumate Funeral Home. Interment
will follow the service in the Mountain View Cemetery in Harrogate. Shumate Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Hubert U. Parrott
Hubert U. Parrott, age 88 of LaFollette, passed away Jan. 29, 2006 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. He was retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Corp in World War II, a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church, a member of LaFollette Masonic Lodge #623 F. and A.M., Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies, a Shriner and the York Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Marshall Parrott and Liza Ann Nelson Parrott; brother, Robert Parrott; sisters, Nora Goins, Etta Dossett, Geneva Dykes, and Siota Gaylor.
He is survived by his wife, Izeda Parrott; son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Jeannie Parrott all of LaFollette; special nephew, Wayne Johnson and wife, Jane of Knoxville; granddaughters, Cindi Reynolds and husband, Brian of Jacksboro, and Jill Parrott of Athens, GA; great grandchildren, Kyla and Micah Reynolds of Jacksboro; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Jan. 31 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Poston officiating. Graveside services and interment
were held at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. Masonic rites were conducted by the LaFollette Masonic Lodge #623 F.and A.M.

William L. C. Reynolds
William L. C. Reynolds, age 73 of Norwood, OH, formerly of LaFollette, passed away Jan. 26, 2006 in Cincinnati, OH. He was of the Church of God faith, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retired from General Motors, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel B. and Anna Ayers Reynolds.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Reynolds; son William Lemuel Reynolds; grandchildren, Stephanie and Collin Reynolds, brothers, Lonnie, Diance, and Gary Reynolds; sister, Brenda Weaver; several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Jan. 30 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Delmus Bruce officiating. Interment
was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
