Andrea Sue Dotson
Andrea Sue Dotson, age 62, of Lake City passed away Nov. 13, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospice in Halls. She was a member of the Guiding Star Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jack Dotson; parents, Chesley and Carrie Kindred Jackson; sisters, Betty Scymanski and Wilma Wilson.
She is survived by her son, Grant Jackson of Jacksboro; sisters, Robin Rains and husband, Kenneth of Lake City, Tonya Charack of FLA, Brenda Jackson of Oliver Springs; brothers, Kenneth Jackson and wife, Margaret of Lake City, Terry Jackson of Lake City; grandchildren, Jessica Jackson of SC, Sandra Jackson of Nashville and Grant Lynn Jackson of Jacksboro; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were Nov. 15 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenny Bean officiating. Interment
was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
William Robert Henderson
William Robert Henderson, age 76 of LaFollette passed away Nov. 14, 2005 at the St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was a member of the Church of God in Toledo, OH. He belonged to the horseshoe club, the bowling league and he was a member of the DAV.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Wellington and Gladys Walker Henderson; brother, Nathan Henderson; sister, Betty Small; half brother, Jerry Meek.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Henderson of LaFollette; son, William Henderson Jr. of Toledo, OH; daughters, Linda Frosch of Cosby, Renee Henderson of Toledo, OH; Kenneth Bolton of LaFollette and David Campbell of St. Roberts, Mo; stepdaughters, Rita Mullins of Farmingdale, NY, Gwendolyn Mullins of LaFollette; brother, Nathan Henderson; sister, Sylvia Kelley of IND; half sister, Janet Sharp of IND; six grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the West Walden Church of God with Rev. Jasper Walden officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday night at the church before funeral services. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
Rev. Ralph Leach
Rev. Ralph Leach, age 77 of LaFollette passed away Nov. 14, 2005 at his home. He was a member of Ford Town Baptist Church. He had been an ordained minister for 42 years having pastored several churches in this area. He had a radio broadcast for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Rev. Harrison and Pearl Bruce Leach.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Leach of LaFollette; son and daughter-in-law, David and Betty Leach of LaFollette; daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Scoby Asbury of Jacksboro; brothers, JB and Bill Leach both of LaFollette; sisters, June James of Chattanooga, Jewell Winstead of LaFollette, Evelyn Bailey of Speedwell, Margie Ford of Speedwell; grandchildren, Lynn Leach and Cindy Pierce; great grandchildren, Carly and Alex Leach and Chloe Pierce.
Funeral services were Nov. 16 at Ford Town Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Dupuy, Rev. Don Reynolds and Rev. Alvis Richardson officiating. Interment
will be at 11 a.m. on Nov. 17 in Bakers Forge Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Carl E. McNeeley
Carl E. McNeeley, age 83 of LaFollette, passed away on Nov. 8, 2005 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and retired from Direct Oil Co.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Mae McNeeley; parents, Bill and Sallie McNeeley; sisters, Lucille Wilson, Bonnie and Edith McNeeley.
She is survived by her sons, Ray McNeeley of East Bernstadt, KY, Mike McNeeley and Daniel McNeeley both of LaFollette; daughters, Geraldine of Michigan, Joyce Ann McGlone and Betty Sue Woodward both of LaFollette; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Lee Hatfield of Toledo, OH, Nora Nelson of Jacksboro, and Lois Goins of LaFollette; brothers, Clyde McNeeley and Dennis McNeeley both of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Nov. 10 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Bill Braden officiating. Interment
was in the Bethlehem Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Smiddy officiating. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Dan Marcum
Dan Marcum age 62 of LaFollette passed away Nov. 8, 2005 at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He attended LaFollette Church of God. He Marcum loved children, family, gardening, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Merle Marcum; father, Arnold Marcum; sister, Peggy Gumm.
He is survived by his wife, Elva Marcum of Mt. Vernon, KY; sons, Eddie Marcum and Danny Marcum Jr. both of Cincinnati, OH; daughters, Tina Martin of Cincinnati, OH, Leona Marcum of LaFollette, Julie Marcum of Richview, IL; nine grandchildren; brother, Dave Marcum of Cincinnati, OH; 10 step children.
Funeral services were Nov. 10 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Chuck Duncan officiating. Interment
was in the Warren Memorial Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Kenneth G. Smith
Kenneth G. Smith, age 68 of LaFollette passed away Nov. 9, 2005 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member and Deacon of Elm Grove Baptist Church, Veteran of the U. S. Air Force, Member of the Disabled American Veterans, Melrose Masonic Lodge of Norwood, OH, and Shriners of Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Smith of LaFollette; brothers Rev. James Smith and wife, Jean of Ravenna, KY, Chester Smith and wife, Elizabeth of Felicity, OH, Lloyd Smith and wife, Juanita of Andersonville, Walter Smith and wife, Carolyn of Dayton, OH, Wayne Smith of Powell and David Smith and wife, Edna of Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Naomi Sears and husband, Ed of Williamsburg, KY, Myrtle Katz of Dayton, OH, and Marie Drake and husband, Larry of Dayton, OH; brother-in-law, David Hill and wife, Jeannie of Amelia, OH; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Nov. 12 at Walters Chapel with his brother, Rev. James Smith and Rev. Landon Lane officiating. Interment

Ethel Angel Taylor
Ethel Angel Taylor, age 94, of LaFollette entered eternal life on Nov. 13, 2005 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Taylor.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Judy Taylor, Jacksboro; niece, loved as a daughter, Emily Durban and husband Joe, Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Sonya Gay and Lee MacMillin, San Diego, CA; Teresa Crawford and Jamey; great grandchildren, Nichauls, Madison and Gillion Crawford, Ringgold, GA.
Graveside service and interment
were Nov. 16 at Peabody Cemetery with Rev. Terry Wells and Rev. Eugene Wells officiating. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Cartha F. Tiller
Cartha F. Tiller, 69, of South Knoxville passed away Nov. 10, 2005 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; William and Beatrice Green Vandergriff.
She is survived by her husband, James Tiller; sons, Ricky Wamach, Ted Vandergriff, and Ronnie Vandergriff; daughters, Tina Johnson and husband, Mike, Kay Davis and husband, Mark, Debbie McNelly, Tammy Tiller and Rosa Thomas; grandchildren, Ricky Jr., Jan, Jason, James, Casey, David, James, Kay, Matthew, Sarah and Blanche; great grandchildren, Mason and Makayla; brothers, Ray Vandergriff and wife Becky, Don Vandergriff and wife Linda; sister, Pat Stegall; several nieces and nephews .
Funeral services were Nov. 12 at Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with the Rev. Barny Evans officiating. Interment
was in the Russell Cemetery in Blount County. Atchley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Charles Andrew "Little Charlie" Ayers
Charles Andrew "Little Charlie" Ayers age 31 of LaFollette was called home on Dec. 13, 2005 to be with his heavenly father, his granny, papaw, and grandfather whom he loved dearly, and many other loved ones gone on before him. He attended the Stanfield Church of God, was a graduate of Campbell County High School and was very active in his community often helping his neighbors during sickness and lending a hand to anyone who needed help.
He was preceded in death by his granny, Lizzie Ayers whom he cared for during her illness, his papaw, Robert Ayers, and his grandfather Francis Deuel.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Linda Ayers; sister, Mary Ann Ayers; brother, Arlando Ayers, all of LaFollette; grandmother, Maude Deuel of Syracuse, NY; nieces, Ariel and Kayla, both of LaFollette; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were Dec. 17 at the Stanfield Church of God with Rev. Delmus Bruce and Rev. Ron Bruce officiating. Interment
was in the Ayers Cemetery.
