Genette Leona Brogan, age 86 of LaFollette died Jan. 25, 2005 at the St. Mary’s Health and Rehab. She was a member of Glade Springs Church. She loved crafts, flowers, cooking, and taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer Lee Brogan; parents, Pete and Meadie Ellison Crusoe; brother, Roy Cosby.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Lorine Brogan of Jacksboro; daughter, Onalee Brogan of LaFollette; grandchildren, Jackie Ray, Cindy Price, Rickey Brogan; great grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, and Brook Price and Jessica Taylor; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were Jan. 27 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Larry Watts and Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Interment
was in Yoakum Cemetery.

William Russell Cox
William Russell Cox, age 61 of Morley went to be with the Lord on Jan. 24, 2005. He was a member of Morley Baptist Church. He was a disciplined and skilled craftsman. His life’s statement would be work hard, and then harder, do what is right and all will be well. He was a loving and dedicated father, and will be truly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzie Martha Jenkins; grandfather, William Franklin Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Carr) Cox; eldest son, William Franklin Cox, II and wife, Mary; grandson, William Franklin Cox III; daughter, Donna Sue Singley and husband, Terry; grandsons, Dustin Lane, Sean Bradley and Corey Blake Anderson; granddaughter, Rachel Leann Singley; son, Shane Allen Cox and wife, Robin; grandson, Colby Allen; granddaughter, Lacey Chanta; youngest son, Shannon Ray Cox and wife, Amanda; grandson, Ethan Carter Cox; sisters, Edna Mae Burch, Annie Jenkins and Mary Allred, all of Fla, Debbie Burns, Connie Kross and Vickie Vagedes; brothers, Richard Jenkins and Dale Jenkins.
Funeral services were Jan. 27 at Morley Baptist Church with Rev. J.L. Shoun officiating and Rev. Melvin Blankenship obituary and prayer. Interment

Willis Dean Day
Willis Dean Day, age 67 of LaFollette died Jan. 31, 2005 at the Select Specialty Hospital of Tennessee in Knoxville. She was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church. She loved to read, watch TV, and cook. She loved her family very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Day; daughter, Rhonda Carlton; parents, Jimmy and Nannie Jones Irwin.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Granvil Day and Donald and Lisa Day all of White Oak, Mark and Becky Day and Richard Day; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Henry Mozingo all of LaFollette; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brother, Junior Phillips of MI; sister, Georgia White of Radclift, KY; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were Feb. 1 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Cox and Rev. Billy Joe Lowe officiating. Internment was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Geraldene “Jewel” Hutson Hatmaker
Geraldene “Jewel” Hutson Hatmaker, age 69 of Lake City, the Oak Grove Community died Jan. 30, 2005 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She attended Sequoyah Missionary Baptist Church in Andersonville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. and Bertha Marie Hutson; sister, Dinah Miller; nephews, Leslie Overton and Robbie Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Hatmaker of Lake City; daughter, Connie Gail Gill of Clinton, Kathy Dragoo and husband, Rick of Thayer, Ind; grandchildren, Christie and Anthony Bunch of Clinton, Jeremy and Amy Gill of Clinton, Tim and Laura Gill of Murfreesboro, Rick Dragoo, Jr and Katie Dragoo of Thayer; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gill and Dylan Harmon; sister, Doris Overton and husband, R.J. of Jacksboro; brothers, J.D. Huston and wife, Myrna of LaFollette, Von Hutson and wife, Brenda of Clinton, Lynn Hutson of Norris, Jim Hutson and wife, Cindy of Knoxville; special niece and nephew, Hannah and Issac White of Andersonville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Feb. 2 at the Sequoyah Missionary Baptist Church in Andersonville with Rev. Gerald Hatmaker and Rev. Lance White officiating. Interment
was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mamie S. Knight
Mamie S. Knight, age 77 of the Beech Grove Community in Lake City died Jan. 28, 2005 at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville. She was born March 28, 1927 in Anderson County. She was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Otis and Maggie Massengill Sprankles; husband, Fred Knight; daughter, Ailene Knight.
She is survived by her sons, Bob Knight of Beech Grove, J.L. Knight and wife, Brenda of Lake City, Eddie Knight and wife, Kathy of Lake City; daughters, Joan Foust and husband, Terry of Medford, Wanda Scarbrough and husband, Floyd of Beech Grove; brothers, Bill Sprankles of California, Bud Sprankles of Clear Branch, David Sprankles of Michigan, Jimmy Sprankles of Norris; sisters, Marie Hikler of Beech Grove, Lassie Lapole of Michigan, Shirley Adkins of Beech Grove; 11 grandchildren, two step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Jan. 31 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home with Rev. David Goins and Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment
was in the Beech Grove Cemetery.

Jeffrey Smith Partin, age 49 of Toledo, OH died Jan. 23, 2005 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Partin.
He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Shirley Partin; sister, Laura and husband, William Dunaway; grandmother, Laura; special companion, Doris Hayward; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Clarence A. Perkins
Clarence A. Perkins, age 91 of Louisville, KY, formerly of Black Oak, KY died Jan. 25, 2005 at the VA Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He is survived by his sisters, Madeline Jones of Louisville, KY and Dorothy Franklin of Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were Jan. 31 at the Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Durand Dixon officiating. military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.

Wellene Phillips
Wellene Phillips, age 59 of Lake City died Jan. 26, 2005 at her residence. She was born July 19, 1945 in Anderson County. She was a member of Willowbrook Baptist Church in Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Pickel.
She is survived by her mother, Verla Pickle; son, Frank Phillips and wife, Tammy; daughters, Kathy Jackson, Sharon Braden, all of Lake City; Andrea Phillips, Haley Phillips, both of KY; brother, Sonny Pickel and wife, Sandy of New Haven, IN; sister, Carolyn Taylor and husband, Leon of California.
