Kizzie S. Jones, age 72 of Caryville went home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Jones; parents, Jessie and Cynthia Phillips Smith; brother, R.C. Smith; sister, Louanna Davis.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Jones and wife, Michelle, Lake City; daughter, Tammy Bunch and fiancée, Charlie Morris, Lake City; grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Dustin Bunch, Coty Jones, Kali Morris, all of Lake City and Debra Breuer, Atlanta,Ga; great grandchild, Trenton Breuer, Atlanta, Ga; step-daughter, Geraldine Jones Thomas, Atlanta, Ga; step-mother, Georgia Smith, Sunbright; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were July 23 at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Leach officiating. Interment
was in the Circle Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Rosie Ella Lee Lane
Rosie Ella Lee Lane of LaFollette, born Aug. 19, 1920, died July 14, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Lee and Ulyss Lane; mother, Mary Leach Madison; father, James Madison; sisters, Frankie Madison, Nellie Morgan; brothers, John, Charlie and Roy Madison; half-brothers, George and Henry Madison; children, Carolyn Sue Lee, Carl Dixon, Jeri Harmon, Imogene Sallings; son, James Roy Lee; grandchildren, Tonya Michelle Cooper, Keith Rooster Green, Autumn Summer Kennedy.
She is survived by her daughters, Alenda Cooper, LaFollette, Mary R. Green, LaFollette, Geneva Rieby, Centerville, OH; sons, Gary Lee, LaFollette, Robert D. Lee, Fairborn, OH; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
Funeral services were July 16 at Cross Chapel with Rev. Michael Cooper and Rev. James Adkins officiating. Interment
was in the Peabody Cemetery. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Bobby Jack Malicote
Bobby Jack Malicote, age 72 of LaFollette died July 24, 2004 at his home. He was a member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. He was retired from the LaFollette Utilities with 30 years of service. He was the owner of Malicote Plumbing for 30 years, U.S. Navy Veteran serving 1950-1954.
He was preceded in death by his father, Casper Malicote.
He is survived by his wife, Dorcas Malicote, LaFollette; son, Kyle Malicote, LaFollette; daughters, Karen Davis, Roswell, Ga and Kelly Tindell, LaFollette; grandsons, Justin Davis, Robbie Wilson, Anthony and Dillon Tindell; mother, Minnie Malicote.
Funeral services were July 26 in the Cross Chapel with Rev. Ralph Cordell officiating. Interment
was in the Bakers Forge Cemetery with military Honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Jerry Wayne Martin
Jerry Wayne Martin age 52 of LaFollette died July 22, 2004 at U. T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church, veteran of the U.S. Army with six years of service and served seven years in the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Martin; grandparents, Walter and Florence Pebley and James and Molly Martin; special grandparents, Lawrence and Anna Barton, of Corbin, KY.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Delories Martin of LaFollette; son, David Martin and wife, Sandy of Speedwell; grandchildren, Katie Martin and Meranda Martin both of Speedwell; mother, Elizabeth Martin of LaFollette; brother, Ronald Martin and wife, Tammy of Sanford, FL; three nieces and nephews, James Wade, Angie, and Kyrie Martin all of Florida; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were July 24 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Johnny Dabney and Rev. Don Reynolds officiating. Interment
was at Campbell County Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Linnise Sullivan Massie
Linnise Sullivan Massie, loving wife, mother and grandmother, of Jefferson City died July 26, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, Jefferson Memorial Pink Ladies, Lost Creek Women’s Golf League, Jefferson Coffee Bowling League, Jefferson City Swim Club and Les Amies of Carson Newman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.Z. and Jessie Sullivan; brothers, W.Z. and James Sullivan.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ernest Howard Massie; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Richard Couch, Livermore, CA, Joan and Danny Bolden, Jefferson City, Jill Massie-Braun(gymnastics instructor in the LaFollette area since 1984) and Ian Braun of Jefferson City; son and daughter-in-law, Dewayne and Janet Massie, Knoxville; grandchildren, Kristin Couch Walker and Erin Couch, Kevin Bolden, Kieran Braun, Nicholas and Elissa Massie; great grandchildren, Devin and Dylan Walker; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be Aug. 1 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Gene Wilder officiating. Interment
will be Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Aug. 1 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Church. Brenda Lamb Milhorn
Brenda Lamb Millhorn, age 46 of LaFollette died July 26, 2004 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Juanita Miller Lamb.
She is survived by her daughter, Rochelle Harrington; brother: James Lamb both of LaFollette.

Rev. James Cecil Murray
Died Saturday July 24, 2004.
J.C., as he was called, was born March 20, 1921 to John Rube Murray and Flossie Jane Douglas Murray at Jellico, TN. He was saved on February 28, 1949 at the Jellico Church of God of the Mountain Assembly. He attended the Jellico Church of God until he left to pastor three area churches. He pastored Mountain Ash Church of God, in KY, for two years, Elk Valley Church of God for 30 years, and Fairview Community Church, in KY, for six years. He attended church nearly every Sunday at Beech Tree Manor where he resided for the last year. He has visited the Holy Land four different times. He was baptized, preached funerals, and married numerous people throughout the years.
Daddy has just changed homes, but we will visit him again. Meanwhile his host of family and friends will sadly miss him
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rube and Flossie Murray; sister, Dessie Stokes, two infant brothers and one sister: Walter Frances, George Delbert and Lorraine Josephine; nephew, Wayne Murray.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vivian Weaver Murray. They were married on September 30, 1944 in Georgia; daughter: Vijaya Morton and husband Ed, of Jacksboro; son, Jay Darren Murray and wife Betty, of Jellico; daughter: Patricia Rosato and husband Phil, of Mastic Beach, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Hannah Murray of Kingston; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law: Beulah Fry, Curt and Shirley Weaver of Jellico, Verlin and Linda Weaver of Akron, OH, Etta and Delmer Lay of Hollyhill, KY, and Claude and Lola Benge of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Mitchell Long and wife Michelle of Pioneer, Kenny Long and wife Tiffany of Rapid City, SD, Jason and Jacob Murray of Jellico, Kelly Rosato of Mastic Beach, NY; great-grandchildren, Josh, Austin, Abby, and Kaylee; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were July 28, 2004 at the Church of God of the Mountain Assembly in Jellico with the Reverends, Lonny Lyke, Jerome Walden, and Phillip Jackson officiating. Interment
was in the Warren Memorial Garden Cemetery in Elk Valley. Cox and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
James Lawrence Rouse
James Lawrence Rouse age 86 of LaFollette died July 25, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was owner and operator of Service Grocery in LaFollette for over 50 years, a member of the LaFollette First Baptist Church, and a member of the Board of Directors of Peoples National Bank selected as Rotary Club Associate Farmer of the Year in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Rouse of LaFollette; son, Dr. James Rouse and wife, Marilyn of Oak Ridge; daughter, Barsha Lynn Ammons of LaFollette; grandchildren, Ellen Rouse Werner and husband John of Knoxville, Scott Rouse and wife, Cyndi of Nashville, Mitch Rouse and wife, Andrea of Beverly Hills, CA, Pam Brice and husband, David of Halls and John Ammons and wife, Erica of Loudon; six great grandchildren; niece, Cindy Blair of Clinton; nephew, Roger Blair; special niece, Janice Sue Reynolds Tibbals of Long Beach Key, FL.

Harold R. Taylor, age 67, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Newcomb, died July 20, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.
