Maude Thompson Robbins, 89, of LaFollette, died on Sept. 21, 2001 at the St. Mary’s of Campbell County.
She was a member of West Walden Church of God.
She was preceded in death by husband Tom Robbins; sons Clifford, Fred and David; daughter Beth.
She is survived by sons James Robbins of Austin Texas, and Paul Robbins of LaFollette; daughter Ruth Robinette of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Cross Chapel with Rev. Ralph Cordell officiating.
Interment was in the Peabody Cemetery.

Clarence Benny Smith
Clarence Benny Smith, 57, of Duff, died on Sept. 26, 2001 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County.
He was preceded in death by two children Susan Marie and Robert Leon; father James Smith.
He is survived by daughter Joanna Linville; son Benjie Smith and one granddaughter. The children’s mother, Wanda Smith White of Clinton; mother Bonnie Smith of Duff; sisters Pauline of LaFollette, Gertie, Shirley and Margie, all of Greenville, Wilma of Jacksboro, and Gail of Kingsport; brothers Ray Smith of LaFollette, Eddie Smith of Duff, and Arnold Smith of Georgia.
Funeral services were Friday at Walters Chapel with Rev. Dupuy officiating.
Interment was at the Hall Cemetery.

Wilma Jean Veach
Wilma Jean Veach, 67, of Jellico, died on Sept. 30, 2001 at her home.
She is survived by sons Jack L. Veach of Russell Springs, Ronald Veach of Jellico; daughters Norma Jean Perkins of Jellico, Sue Elliott of Corbin, Ky., Cheryl Veach of Louisville, Ky.; brother David Cureton of Johnson City; sisters Cleta Wormsley of Lorain, Ohio, Arlene Knuckles of Pennington Gap, Va., and 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Damon Siler officiating. Interment
was in Douglas (Sunny Hill) Cemetery.

Terry Lynn Bolton
Terry Lynn Bolton, 40, Jacksboro, died on Friday, Nov. 30, 2001 at her home.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Bolton; son Cody Bolton; stepdaughter Nowelle Miller; brother Michael Collier, all of Jacksboro; sister Lisa Brewer of LaFollette; parents James and Janice Thomas Allen of Jacksboro.
Funeral services were Dec. 4 at Allen Cemetery in the Mt. Zion Community with Rev. Virgil Tidwell officiating.

Lillie Lou Clawson Bullard
Lillie Lou Clawson Bullard, 81, of Speedwell, died on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County.
She was a member of Flat Hollow Church of God and Sunday school teacher for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by husband Alfred Bullard; parents Donnie and Lizzie (Foust) Clawson; brothers Buster, Howard, Johnny, Earl, Roy, and T.J. Clawson and sisters Edith Clawson and Mell Berry.
She is survived by son James H, Monday of Speedwell; step-daughter Brenda French of Danridge and 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother Ray Clawson of Monroe, Mich.; sister Nadean Owens of West Carrollton, Ohio.
Funeral service was Dec. 2 at Braden Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with Brother J.C. Monday and Rev. Leroy Braden officiating. Interment
was in the Braden Chapel Cemetery in Speedwell.

Margaret Juannell Henry Byrd
Margaret Juannell Henry Byrd, 78, Pioneer, formerly of Cherry Bottom, died at her home on Monday, Dec. 3, 2001.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Byrd Sr.; son Leo Byrd Jr. and daughter Betty Francis Byrd; parents William T. and Nellie Henry and 3 brothers and 1 sister and 1 great-granddaughter.
She is survived by son Richard Byrd; daughters Suzie Borquist, Sharon Jones and Jeannie Wallace and 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Dec. 14 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Damon Owens and Pastor Allen Shepherd officiating. Interment
was in the Allred Cemetery in Scott County.

Lorena D. Clark
Lorena D. Clark, 83, of Jellico, died on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at the Beech Tree Manor Nursing in Jellico.
She is survived by daughter Georgia Wilson, three Grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother George Dobson Jr.; sister Lola Knoerr, Bertha Musick, Jewel Martin, Sally Crane.
Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 30 at the First Baptist Church in Jellico with Rev. Michael Blankenship and Rev. Paul Durham officiating. Interment
was in the Douglas Cemetery at Hoot Owl Hollow.

Robert Henderson Dempster Jr.
Robert Henderson Dempster Jr., 72, died on Monday, Dec. 3, 2001 at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee.
He was a graduate of Knoxville High School and the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
At graduation he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict.
He served as Vice-President and Treasurer of Sterchi Brother Stores, Inc. and as Executive Vice President of First Bank of East Tennessee. He served as president of the Knoxville Civitan Club, as president of the Traveler's Aid Society, as the treasurer and director of the United Way of Greater Knoxville, and a director of Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee.
He served as a director and treasurer of Cherokee County Club.
An Eagle Scout, he served for a time as an assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 39.
In retirement, his volunteer time was focused on Habitat for Humanity where he was a volunteer with the Tuesday-Thursday group and worked at other times when needed. A long time member of First Presbyterian Church, he served as an elder, Clerk of the Session and as a frequent member of the Finance Committee.
He is survived by his wife Pego; daughter Kathryn Hall and Mary Dempster of Nashville; brother Joe Dempster of Winston Salem, North Carolina and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, Dec. 6 with Rev. Dr. G. Carswell Hughs and Rev. Wendy Neff officiating.
