Blanche Claiborne Sharp
Blanche Claiborne Sharp, 84, of LaFollette, died Friday, December 1, 2000 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was a retired school teacher, member of LaFollette United Methodist Church, lifetime member of Cumberland Mountain Chapter 137 Order of Eastern Star, LaFollette Garden Club, and Bridge Club.
She was preceded in death by; husband, Dr. Clyde B. Sharp; parents, John Hogan and Maggie Hill Claiborne; sister, Mary Claiborne Hollingsworth; and brothers, William F. Claiborne, and Glen R. Claiborne.
Survivors include; daughter, Judy Sharp Starr of Manchester; grandchildren, Stacey Starr Pace of Fayetteville, Amy Starr of Atlanta, Georgia, and Captain Michael Starr of the U. S. Air Force, Langley, Virginia; three great-grandchildren; brother, John H. Claiborne of LaFollette; special friend; Kathern Gosnell of LaFollette; several relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 4 at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Malcolm Walmsley officiating.
Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Family requests memorials be sent to LaFollette United Methodist Church.
Jeffery Christopher Wilcox
Jeffery Christopher Leombruno Wilcox, 37, of Jacksboro, died Saturday, December 2, 2000 at Fort Sanders Medical Center, Knoxville. He was of the Baptist faith and a U. S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by; father, Johnny E. Wilcox. Survivors include; mother and step-father, E. L. and Rev. Wilcox Crabtree of Jacksboro; brothers, John T. Wilcox of Clinton, and Larry Wilcox of Warner Robins, Georgia; sister, Rhonda Guinn of Knoxville; step-brothers, David Lynn Crabtree of Jacksboro, James D. Crabtree of Cleveland, Ohio, and Charles L. Crabtree of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Antony H. Crabtree of Johnson City; step-sister, Pamela Shulz of Knoxville; special friend, Joseph Walker of Jacksboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 4 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Duncan officiating.
Private interment
service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Fort Sanders Hope Center, 1901 Clinch Ave., Knoxville, TN. 37916.
Lillian Thomas Younce
Lillian Thomas Younce, 93, of Zionville, North Carolina, died Friday, December 1, 2000 at Glenstone Health Care in Boone, North Carolina.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church, a graduate of Cove Creek High School, attended Appalachian Training School, and a former teacher at North Fork, Mabel, and Tracy Elementary Schools.
She was preceded in death by; parents, Roby Alfred and Eliza Greer Thomas; sisters, Cora Moretz, and Nora Warren; brother, Arthur Thomas; and two granddaughters. Survivors include; husband, Ivan Younce; daughter, Betty Blackburn of Cherryville, North Carolina; sons, Tommy Younce of Vilas, North Carolina, Kent Younce of LaFollette, and Lowell Younce of Zionville; brothers, Clay Thomas of Zionville, and Dewey Thomas of Wasco, Oregon; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 4 at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Warren and Rev. Carl Wilson officiating. Interment
followed in Union Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Frank Thomas, 4913 Old Highway 421, Zionville, North Carolina 28698.

Henry Bascom Boles
Henry Bascom Boles 75, of Jellico, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at the family residence.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was employed by Imperial Cantrell Co., in Jellico for 47 years and was general manager for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by parents John Albert and Lillie Lane Boles; daughter Linda Boles; sister Helen Morgan.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel C. Boles; sons Larry Boles of Jellico and Jeff Percer of Nashville; sister Pauline Cantrell of Knoxville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the Cox and Son Chapel with Rev. Vic Edwards and Rev. Jerome Walden officiating. Interment
was held Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Jellico Cemetery.
Cox and Son Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
Ovie Bullock
Ovie Bullock, 43, of 418 S. Ave., LaFollette, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was a member of the Round Baptist Church.
Mr. Bullock was preceded in death by parents Hobert and Tasie McKamey Bullock.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bullock of LaFollette; sons Adam Bullock of Caryville, Joey William Bullock of LaFollette, and Franklin Reynolds of Mich.; daughters Crystal Gail Seiber of Caryville, Jessica Rose Bullock and Hope Renae Bullock, both of Lafollette, and Anna Hatfield of Eagen; brothers Archie Bullock of Halls, Arlie Bullock of Powell, and Larry and Ellis Bullock, both of Caryville; sisters Alice Loy of Clinton, Haley Bullock and Pernice Bullock of Caryville, and Pearl Phillips of Powell; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 11, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Phillips and Jimmy Rutherford officiating. Interment
was held in the Campbell Memorial Gardens.

Edward Cline
Edward Cline, 80, of LaFollette, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at his home.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Rose Bayless Cline; brother James Cline; sister Dovie Cline; step-son Michael Wayne Longmire.
He is survived by wife Alice Faye Chatman Cline of LaFollette; step-children Terry Longmire of Kan., Kathy Cumming of Fla., and Jeff and James Longmire of LaFollette; eight step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 12, after visitation in the Liberty Church Cemetery with Rev. James Phillips officiating.
Schubert Funeral Home of Wartburg was in charge of arrangements.
Geneva Gibson
Geneva Gibson, 51, of Clairfield, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at the Jellico Community Hospital.
He was preceded in death by father Clyde Webb.
He is survived by husband Michael Gibson of Clairfield; daughters Pam Hatfield of Tazwell and Jennifer Gibson of Clairfield; sons Lonnie Gibson of Clairfield and Benji Gibson of Stinking Creek; mother Carrie Webb of Clairfiled; sister Judy Partin of White Oak; brothers Lonnie Webb of Clairfield, James Webb of White Oak, Herman Webb of Tackett Creek, David and Donnie Webb of Clairfield.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 12 at New Rock Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Woods and Rev. Jimmy Bowman officiating.
Interment was held in Rogerston Cemetery.

Harice Carl Horton Sr.
Harcie Carl Horton Sr., 79, of Goose Creek, S.C., died on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001 in S.C.
He was an Army veteran of WWII.
He retired as a machinist in Shop 31 at the Charleston Navy Shipyard in Charleston, S.C.
He is preceded in death by father Issac and Lonnie Gilliam Horton.
He is survived by wife Pauline Hembree Horton of S.C.; son H. Carl Jr. of S.C.; brother Ray Horton of Maryville; sisters Marie Hatmaker of OakRidge and Edna Hanna and Cybile Seiber, both of Clinton.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in the chapel of Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City.
Interment was held in the Campbell County Memorial Gardens.
