Gladys Foust, 79, of Lake City, died Friday, September 29, 2000 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. she was a member of the Westside Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by; husband, Earl Foust; parents, Square and Vera Leach Nance; step-father, Rev. Virgil Johnson; brother, Edward Nance; and sister, Ruth Irene Nance. Survivors include; sisters, Lona Roberts of Lake City, Juanita Dabney of Toledo, Ohio, and Louise Hawkins of Menton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 1 in the Cox-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Miller officiating. Interment
followed Monday, October 2 in Island Ford Cemetery, Lake City.
Archie Goins
Archie Goins, 72, of LaFollette, died Tuesday, September 26, 2000 at LaFollette Medical Center. He was a member and Deacon of Long Hollow Missionary Baptist church, and a member of LaFollette Masonic Lodge #623 F. & A. M. He was a retired postal employee after 35 years at LaFollette Post Office.
He was preceded in death by; parents, James Thed and Phoebie Lumpkins Goins; three brothers; and one sister. Survivors include; wife, Magdalene Robbins Goins; sons, Marvin Goins, and Lynn Goins, both of LaFollette; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Goins of Sidney, Ohio, Ray Goins of Columbus, Ohio; and sister, Claudia Walker of Sidney, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 28 at Cross Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. O. D. Hill and Rev. Bo Perkins officiating. Interment
followed Friday, September 29 in Campbell Memorial Gardens. Family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Long Hollow Missionary Baptist church, P O Box 85, LaFollette, TN 37766.
Margaret Elizabeth Gray
Margaret Elizabeth Sharp Gray, 92, of LaFollette, died Monday, October 2, 2000 at LaFollette Community Nursing Home. She was a member of LaFollette United Methodist Church, LaFollette Garden Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, United Methodist Women, Arkansas Teacher Association, and Tennessee Retired Teachers Association. She was a graduate of LaFollette High School, attended University of Tennessee, held a B. A. Degree from Centenary College of Louisiana, and was a retired school teacher.
She was preceded in death by; husband, William R. Gray; an infant son; parents, Charles O. and Della Myers Sharp; brothers, Henry, and Casper Sharp; and sisters, Emma Sharp, Louise Sharp, and Edna Rule-Cherry. Survivors include; sister, Helen Sharp Long of Riverdale, Georgia; brothers, Pat Kerr of LaFollette, and James L. Sharp of Denison, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday), October 5 at 2 p.m. at LaFollette United Methodist Church with Rev. Malcolm Wansley and Dr. Richard Long officiating. Interment
followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LaFollette United Methodist Church. Cross Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Walter A. Madon, 87, of Speedwell, died Wednesday, September 27, 2000.

James Victor Sellers
James Victor Sellers, 73, of Jellico, died Thursday, September 28, 2000 at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky.
He is survived by; brother, Clifton R. Sellers of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Dean Faust, Betty Kennedy, and Shirly Daugherty, all of Daython, Ohio, Clara Sellers of Jellico, and Doris Carr of Newcomb.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 3 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Walden officiating. Interment
followed in Douglas Cemetery.
Elizabeth Jean Baird
Elizabeth Jean Baird, 66, of Jellico, died Sunday, October 8, 2000 at her home.
She was preceded in death by; daughter, Ruby Charlene Smith; grandsons, Joseph Reed, and Allie Chambers. Survivors include; husband, Clifford Baird ; sons, Bobby Joe Chambers of Arcadia, Florida, and Kelsey Ray Chambers of Glen Falls, New York; daughters, Brenda K. McIntosh of Clarksville, Indiana, Karen Sue Booker of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Shirley Faye Hackworth of Clinton, Janet Geraldine Worth of Arcadia, Florida, and Goldie Leechevia Rogers of Indianapolis, Indiana; sixteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Sandy Chapman, 45, of Lake City, died Saturday, October 7, 2000 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of the Guiding Star Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by; parents, Glenn and Inez Foust. Survivors include; husband, Billy Joe Chapman; daughter, Deidra Fritts of Lake City; grandchildren, Samantha Boruff, and Donavon Boruff, both of Lake City; sisters, Brenda Bishop, and Shona Shultz, both of Clinton, Kay Maiden, and Sheila Poore, both of Lake City; and brother, Larry "Bow" Foust of Clinton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 10 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Terry Slover officiating. Interment
followed in Foust Cemetery, Lake City.

Howard Edward Kennedy, 57 of Pioneer, died Monday, October 2, 2000 at Jellico Community Hospital.
He is survived by; brothers, Robert Kennedy of Wooldridge, and Charles Blackwell of Dayton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

followed in Warren Memorial Cemetery in Elk Valley.
Greta Leach
Greta Leach, 92, of Speedwell, died Monday, October 2, 2000 at Tri State Comprehensive Care Center in Harrogate.
She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by; husband, David Leach; son, Glen Leach; and sister, Gusta Leach.
Survivors include; sister, Dallis Maddox; granddaughter, Debra Bowen of Louisa, Kentucky; and daughter-in-law, Jerlene Leach of Louisa, Kentucky; several nieces, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 3 at Reece Funeral Home Valley Chapel with Pastor Roger Leach officiating.
