HAROLD FAHR, 75, of Bolivar, Tenn., formerly of Memphis, retired agent for the Internal Revenue Service, died Tuesday of cardiac arrest at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar with burial in Parrans Chapel cemetery near there. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Fahr, the husband of Nell Fowler Fahr, also leaves a daughter, Linda Dare Clowes of Memphis; three stepdaughters, Brenda Cook of Franklin, Tenn., Deborah Fowler of Chattanooga and Donna Morales of Memphis; two sisters, Lena Bean of Paragould, Ark., and Eva Stinson of Leesburg, Fla.; a brother, Gerald Fahr of Paragould, a granddaughter and six stepgrandchildren.

MARGUERITE FORD FARBER, 79, of Memphis, homemaker, died of heart failure Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be at noon Thursday in Temple Israel cemetery. Canale Funeral Directors has charge. She was a member of Temple Israel, Temple Israel Sisterhood, the Encore Club and Memphis Botanic Garden. Mrs. Farber, the widow of Maurice Farber, leaves a daughter, Eleanor Jean Farber, and a son, Daniel Nison Farber, both of Memphis, and three grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Temple Israel, Memphis Botanic Garden, American Heart Association or Temple Israel Sisterhood.

MELINDA CAROL `LYNN' FARRIS, 35, of 434 Lucy, died of lupus Monday at Methodist Hospital. Services will be at noon Saturday at White Stone Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in New Park cemetery. E. H. Ford Mortuary Services has charge. She leaves a son, Jeremy Jamal Joy; her parents, James and Emma Farris; a sister, Shasta Coleman; three brothers, Derek Farris, James Anthony Farris and Steven Farris, and her grandmother, Josephine McDowell, all of Memphis.

JAMES F. FLETCHER, 74, of Memphis, electrical engineer with Ellers, Oakley, Chester & Rike Inc., died Monday in Hot Springs, Ark., after a stroke. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Second Presbyterian Church, where he was a former deacon and member of the Chapel Sunday School class. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. He served as a radio operator on a B17 during World War II. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from New Mexico A & M. He was a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Illuminating Engineering Society, and won several industry awards during his career. Mr. Fletcher, the husband of Margaret Jones Fletcher, also leaves a daughter, Rucina Fletcher Johnson, and a son, Gary F. Fletcher, both of Hot Springs; two stepdaughters, Mary Jane Hamlett and Judy Jones Bennett, and a stepson, Harry Howard Jones III, all of Memphis; two sisters, Inez Diggs of St. Louis and Mildred McClellan of Nashville, two grandchildren and nine stepgrandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Second Presbyterian Church, Neighborhood Christian Center or the charity of the donor's choice.

MABEL CLAIRE FLOYD, 92, of Bartlett, retired from the Memphis Board of Education, died of heart failure Monday at Methodist Hospital North. LaRUE, 82, of Somerville, Tenn., formerly of Jackson, Tenn., retired sales representative and sales manager for the West Tennessee Area of Oakes Manufacturing Co., died of heart failure Tuesday at National Healthcare Center. He also had been a real estate agent with Yates Real Estate in Jackson and an ATM machines operations manager for Volunteer Bank there. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of First Christian Church of Jackson and the Jackson Exchange Club. Mr. LaRue, the widower of Mary Evelyn James LaRue, leaves a daughter, Gayle Bowling of Somerville; a son, Kenneth LaRue of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Florence Banyard of Hutchinson, Kan., and Frankie Schieszer of Bullhead City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
