RICHARD BYRON PERRY JR., 83, of Atlanta, formerly of Memphis, retired from Diamond-Shamrock Chemical Co., died of heart disease Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. He served in the Pacific as a first lieutenant in the Navy during World War II, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Atlanta Country Club and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. Mr. Perry, the husband of Martha Carpenter Perry, also leaves three daughters, Suzanne Brethrick and Joanne Jorgensen, both of Memphis, and Glenda Talbot of Oklahoma City; a son, Glenn Carpenter Jr. of Dallas, seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.

JANET W. PHILP, 89, of Memphis, homemaker, died of congestive heart failure Wednesday at Kirby Pines Manor. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kirby Pines Auditorium with burial in Mt. Auburn Memorial Park in Stickney, Ill. Canale Funeral Directors has charge. Mrs. Philp, the widow of James Philp, leaves a daughter, Patricia P. WILLIAM ELIJAH SAVAGE, infant son of Cristy Lynn Savage and William Earl Savage Jr. of Horn Lake, Miss., died at birth Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East.
