LEVA BEHEL ALLEN, 83, of Florence, Ala., formerly of Memphis, retired dietitian, died of cancer Wednesday at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence with burial in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence. She was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ in Florence. Mrs. Allen, the wife of Lindsay A. Allen, also leaves a daughter, Cecilia Johnstone of Eden Prairie, Minn.; three sisters, Elmyra Howell and Cornelia Ragester, both of Florence, and Mattie Ruth Wallace of Decatur, Ala.; two brothers, Emory Behel and Manson Behel, both of Florence, and three grandchildren.

LUEBIRDA ASH, 79, of 1778 Keltner Circle, Apt. 13, died of heart failure Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at 491 E. McLemore, where she was a member, with burial in Calvary. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Ash, the widow of Sam Ash, leaves a niece who cared for her, Bertha Gray of Memphis.

ALEXANDRA BONET, 91, of Memphis, died of pneumonia Tuesday at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Manor Chapel with burial in St. Raymond's cemetery in Bronx, N.Y. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. Mrs. Bonet, the widow of Frank Bonet, leaves a daughter, Alexandria B. Anderson of Memphis; a son, Frank Bonet of Plano, Texas, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

BEN H. BOWIE, 76, of 3524 Ashford, mechanic for Illinois Central Railroad, died of heart failure Tuesday at his home. R. S. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Bowie, the husband of Margaret Bowie, also leaves three sisters, Rosie Wilson of Oxford, Miss., Mollie Westbrook of Flint, Mich., and Ella Bufford of Jackson, Miss., and two brothers, Elijah Bowie and Willie Frank Bowie, both of Oxford.

KAREN A. `PUNCHIE' CAGER, 28, of 4524 Water Tree, Apt. 4, customer service worker for MCI Communications, died Saturday in Memphis of an apparent homicide. She was a former member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. Mrs. Caughey, the wife of Richard James Caughey, also leaves two daughters, Jessica Victoria Caughey of Valencia, Calif., and Sarah Josephine Wurzer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, Jonathan Lawrence Caughey of Memphis, Peter Richard Caughey of Columbus, Ohio, and Paul James Caughey of Germantown; her father, Alfred William Kaiser of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two brothers, Mervil Kaiser of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Larry Kaiser of Vancouver, Wash., and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran School or Trinity Hospice.
