Jack M. Smith, age 58, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2004, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nadine Smith. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Smith of the home; step-son, Nathan Cox of Talbott; step-son and wife, Todd and Christy Cox of Virginia; step-grandson, Cole Cox of Virginia; special mother-in-law, Nannie Cox of Talbott; step-mother, Pat Smith; sisters, Trish Galyon, Kay Richardson, and Gail Finchum, all of Sevierville, Karla Justice of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Graveside interment
services will be held Friday, September 3, at 2:30 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the graveside funeral service. Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City, is in charge of arrangements.
Helen (Medich) Ullom
Helen (Medich) Ullom, age 67, of Talbott, passed away Monday, August 30, 2004, at her daughter's home in Rockford, Tennessee. She was born in South Bend, Indiana and graduated from Riley High School in 1955. She was a member of Panther Springs United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard (Bernie) C. Ullom; father, George Medich; mother, Mary (Muriel) Medich; brothers, Nick Medich and Fred Medich; sister, Mildred Elliott. She is survived by her sons, Buddy Ullom and wife, Robin of Cosby, Matthew Ullom of Knoxville; daughter, Mary Louise Brown and husband, Tommy of Rockford; grandchildren, Chad and Kristin Ullom and Spencer and Summer Brown; brothers, George Medich of Niles, Michigan; sisters, Betty Barker of South Bend, Indiana and Mary Rose of Valparaiso, Indiana. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 4, at 6 p.m. at Panther Springs United Methodist Church with Garland E. James, Tom Hubachek and Kenny Armstrong condcuting the service. Family will receive friends Saturday, September 4, from 4-6 p.m. prior to the memorial service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Panther Springs United Methodist Church Youth or to the American Cancer Society.
Wanda Wisecarver Collins
Wanda Wisecarver Collins, age 75, of Greeneville, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2000 at Anderson Healthcare. She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church and was retired from Austin Tobacco Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Ada Pierce; daughter, Rebekah Stubblefield; sister, Diane Howington. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Collins; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Kathy Stubblefield of Cookeville and Rick and Susan Stubblefield of Gray, Tennessee; four grandchildren Ricky and Rachael Stubblefield of Gray, Tennessee, Jim Stubblefield Smith of White Pine and Erica Stubblefield Smith of Lincoln, Nebraska; special friend, Elizabeth Goodson of Blountville, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 20, at Kiser Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Harvey conducting the services. Interment

Coy E. Hickey
Coy E. Hickey, age 61, of Whitesburg, passed away Friday, May 19, 2000 at his residence. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and the Past Grand Master of Kyle Masonic Lodge #422. He was a retired employee of General Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents. Charlie and Mabel Hickey; sister, Edna Hill. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Hickey of Whitesburg; daughters, Loretta Metcalf of Whitesburg, Geraldine Skyles of Virginia, Leta Spence of Morristown; adopted daughter, Mary Ann England of Morristown; brothers, Charles L. Hickey of White Pine, James “Boone” Hickey of Morristown; grandsons, Darrell, Mitchell, Coy Lynn and Paris. Funeral and Masonic services were held Monday, May 22 at Mayes Mortuary with Rev. Eugene Hill, age 89, of Talbott passed away Thursday morning, May 18, 2000 age Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Myrtle Hill; brothes, Howard and James Hill. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Grace Hill of Talbott; sons, W.T. and Fain Hill; daughters, Betty Wheeler and Nannie Robbins, all of Talbott; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Fuenral services were held Friday, May 19, at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. R.J. Seal conducting the service. Interment

Alene Mary Johnson, age 71, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2000 at her residence. She was retired from Shelby Williams. Mrs. Johnson attended the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Laura Rogers; daughter, Linda Stines; brother, Jack Rogers. She is survived by her granddaughter and husband, Rhonda and Richard Mills of Jefferson City; grandson and wife, Larry and Christy Stines, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Cory Stines; son-in-law, Larry Stines, Sr., all of Morristown; sister, Faye Porter of Morristown; brothers, Fred Rogers of Indiana, Glen Rogers and Jimmy Rogers of Morristown; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Catherine Cubberson Moulden, of Johnson City, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2000. She was born on October 24, 1915 to Tom and Maude Cubberson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earnest Moulden; parents, Tom and Maude Cubberson; aunt, Hazel Bragg and uncle, Hollis Marshall. Trula Mae Mount, age 88, of Strawberry Plains, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2000 at Hillcrest North. She was a member of Tuckahoe Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Margaret Lillian Walker, age 68, of Talbott, passed away Sunday morning, May 21, 2000 at her home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired dietitian at Jefferson Memorial Hospital after 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Walker; parents, Fate Allen and Lucille Purkey Williford. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald Allen and Christy Walker fo New Market; daughter-in-law, Sheila J. Walker of Alabama; grandchildren, Jonathan Walker and Donald Allen Walker, Jr., both of New Market; sister, Mary Evelyn Denton of Talbott; very special aunt, Ruby Purkey of New Market; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Betty Roach Underwood of Strawberry Plains; Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, from Calvary Baptist Church in Jefferson City with Rev. George W. Denton, age 56, of Dandridge, passed away on Monday evening, May 22, 2000 at St. Mary's Medical Center following a brief illness. He was employed by Asarco Mining Company and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Nina Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Denton.
