Flora Cash
Flora Dobbins Cash, 90, of Chattanooga, formerly of Stevenson, Ala., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, in an area nursing home.
She is survived by her son, Grady Cash of Chattanooga; sister, Louise Hanner of Decatur, Ala.; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a graveside service 1 p.m. today, Oct. 11, at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tenn. David Smith will officiate.

Margaret Christopher
Margaret Williams Christopher, 78, of Chattanooga died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Chapel of Devotion of Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ronald Ragon officiating.
Visitation is after 10 a.m. Saturday there.

Jensy Hockenbery
Jensy Wood Hockenbery, 85, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, in a local hospital.
A native of Jasper, Tenn., she was the widow of John A. Hockenbery and daughter of the late William B. and Jennie Mills Wood.
She was a member of Wauhatchie United Methodist Church, Senior Neighbors and the Nature Center.
She attended Peabody College, University of California at San Diego, and received a master's degree from DePaul University.
She was a retired teacher in special education.
Survivors are two sisters, Phila Patton of Jasper and Blanche Boudreau of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bill Lassiter and the Rev. Kenneth Bailey officiating.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wauhatchie United Methodist Church or Senior Neighbors Portable Meals.
Visitation will be today from 2-4 p.m. and 7:30-9 p.m. at Wann Funeral Home.
Dennis Hurd
Dennis Hurd, 63, of Hixson died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, in a local hospital.

George Jones Jr.
George "Jack" Jones Jr. of Chattanooga entered into immortality on Monday, Oct. 8, 2001.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellis Jones; father and mother, George and Elanor Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Evangelist Linda Love; stepdaughters, Paulette of Atlanta, Diana, Eunice, Brenda and Danielle, all of Griffin, Ga.; six sons, Kevin Jones of Florida, Tim and Greg Jones, Knoxville, Vincent, Randolph and Johnathon (Daphne), all of Atlanta; two sisters, Ruth L. Jones of Chattanooga and Barbara J. Robinson of Atlanta; five brothers, Lonnie Jones (Carrie) of Savannah, Ga., Joe L. Jones of Knoxville, Willie D. Jones, Willie L. Jones, Dewey L. Jones, all of Chattanooga; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be held Friday, Oct. 12, at noon at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
Visitation after noon today, Oct. 11, at the Avondale Chapel.

Eda Lovelady
Eda Stone Lovelady, 95, of Chattanooga passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, in a local hospital.
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, John Percy Lovelady; daughter, Edna Earle Williams; and son, John W. Lovelady.
She is survived by daughter, Linda Bohanon; four grandchildren, Karen Lassiter, Melissa Tinney, Marc Williams and Martha Barnes; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nettie Wallace of Montgomery, Ala., and Clarice Ferris of Alabaster, Ala.
The funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Akins officiating.
The interment
will follow the service in Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today, Oct. 11, and from 12:30 to service time on Friday, Oct. 12 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153.
Darlene Miyagi
Darlene Jean Miyagi, 63, of Collegedale died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at her residence.
She worked as a medical transcriptionist at Erlanger Medical Center and was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Al Miyagi, Collegedale; two daughters, Reiko Davis, Apison, and Emiko Miyagi, Collegedale; and two brothers, Calvin Syvertson, Pikeville, and Carl Syvertson, Madison, Wis.
Pastor Ed Wright will conduct the funeral service on Friday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m. in the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Interment will be in Collegedale Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today, Oct. 11, from 7-9 p.m. in the church.

Mary Odom
Mary Linda Odom, 51, of Chattanooga died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, in a local hospital.
A native and longtime resident of the Chattanooga area, she graduated from Pompano Beach High School and was a 1995 graduate of UTC, where she received her bachelor's degree in education. Mrs. Odom was a faculty member of Dalewood Middle School and was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Wayne Odom; and parents, Robert and Eddie Mae Carden McClure.
Survivors include three daughters, Katherine Odom, Chattanooga, Jennifer Odom-Cordova and Crystal Odom, New Mexico; son, Aaron Odom, Chattanooga; brother, the Rev. Michael McClure, Delray Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Cheyenne and Dylan Cordova.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Michael McClure officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends all day today at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Rossville.

Stephanie D. Powell, 16, of Hixson died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001.
She has been a resident of Chattanooga since 1989.
She was formerly of Florida.
Survivors include her mother, Theresa Weeks; father, Jerry Douglas; sister, Tasha Douglas, Dayton, Tenn.; brother, Jerry Mack Douglas III, Dayton; grandparents, Jerry Mack Douglas Sr. and Glenda Douglas, Dayton; cousins, Carmen Prater, Amy Prater and Vicki Curly, Dayton.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Lane-Coulter Chapel.
Interment: Coulter Cemetery, Bakewell, Tenn.
Visitation: 4-8 p.m. today.
