Funeral Services for David Morse, age 61, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 18, 2003, from the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Wall officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Morse died Saturday at Harton Hospital. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 till 8:00 Monday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Mr. Morse is survived by:
Wife - Avo Morse of Tullahoma
Sons and daughter-in-laws - Joseph & Misty Morse of Winchester; Earl & Miranda Morse of Tullahoma
Sister - Rita Stoermer of New Port Richey, FL
Brother - Dick Morse of Clearwater, FL
Grandchildren - Callie, Josie & Gracie
Caregiver - Bill Camp
Several Nieces and Nephews
Mr. Morse was born in Davidson Co., Tennessee and is the son of the late Joe and Marjorie Shumacker Morse. He was a member of the Center Grove Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon and was a member of the Kiwinis Club. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a son, John David Morse. For those who wish donations can be made to the Center Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or the Multi-County Cancer Support Network.

Lt. Col. Elmer P. Fizer

Visitation: Friday, November 29, 2002
Funeral Services for Lt. Col. Elmer P. Fizer, age 90 of Tullahoma will be conducted at 11:00am, Saturday, November 30, from the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Payne officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Col. Fizer died Tuesday morning at Lynchburg Nursing Center. Visitation with the family will be from 5:30pm till 9:00pm, Friday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.
Col. Fizer is survived by:

GREAT GRANDCHILDREN - Eli Fizer, Reganne Chadwell, Jordon, Justin & Jackson McKelvey & Isabel Fizer; Lt. Col. Fizer was born in Keyser, West Virginia the son of the late Almer Jacob Fizer and Nora Craig Fizer. Col. Fizer was a graduate of West Virginia University, receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1937. He was called to active duty in August of 1941, and during his career served at many bases throughout the world. His last twelve years of military service was the Judge Advocate on the staff of six successive General officers. He retired from the Air Force on May 31, 1960 while serving at Arnold Engineering & Development Center. He then worked 12 years as a legal adviser and as administrative assistant for Procurement Materials Division, ARO, Inc. and retired for physical disability. Col Fizer was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church, the American Legion, the VFW, the Air Force Assn., Retired Officers Assn, the 330th Bomb Group Assn., Air Force Retired Judge Advocate Assn and was an honorary member of the Tennessee Sheriff's Assn & the Federal Bar Assn. Charles Majors

Graveside Services for Charles A. Majors, age 76, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at Maplewood cemetery with Rev. Jim Beaty & Rev. Kenny Ervin officiating. Burial will follow the Graveside Services. Mr. Majors died Monday at Harton Hospital. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 till 9:00 Tuesday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Wife of 50 Years - Betty Joyce Moore Majors of Tullahoma

Son & daughter in law - Robert & Tina Majors of Franklin, TN
4 Grandchildren - Andrew Jonathan Diehl of Tullahoma; Benjamin Judson Majors of Franklin, TN; Christina DeVault Majors of Franklin, TN; Catherine Elizabeth Majors of Franklin, TN
3 Sisters - Mrs. Wilma Shasteen of Tullahoma; Mrs. Mabel Ervin of Tullahoma; Mrs. Mary Ruth Parkes of Huntsville, AL
Mr. Majors was born in Franklin Co., Tennessee and is the son of the late Joseph Travis and Mary Elizabeth Winstead Majors. Mr. Majors was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a life member of the Architect University Masonic Lodge in Dearborne, Michigan and a member of the International Association of Machinists at AEDC for over 30 years. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother, Wilson "Pee Wee" Majors.

Joan Huffman

Funeral Services for Joan Huffman, age 70, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2002, from the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Huffman died Monday at Harton Hospital. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 till 9:00 Wednesday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Mrs. Huffman was born in Bedford Co., TN and is the daughter of Adell Riddle White and the late Charles White. She was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Sverdrup. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Darnell and a brother, James Ralph White. Funeral Services for Minnie G. Simmons, age 87 of Estill Springs will be conducted at 10am, Monday, March 10, from the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood cemetery in Tullahoma. Mrs. Simmons died Friday afternoon at the Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester. Visitation with the family will be from 2pm till 9pm, Sunday at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Mrs. Simmons was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee the daughter of the late Harbird Arnold Glasgow and Katie Mae Leach Glasgow. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Tullahoma and was a former employee of GENESCO. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma. Mr. Hoots died Wednesday afternoon at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Hoots was born in Bow, Kentucky the son of the late Hershel & Irene Sewell Hoots. He was retired from ACS at AEDC where he was a Lieutenant with the Security Police at Arnold Center. Mr. Hoots also was also a retired Master Sergeant with the US Air Force, serving 21 years as a Law Enforcement Supervisor. He was a member of the American Legion in Tullahoma where he also served as its Service Officer, and was vice president of the local Association of the A.B.C. Funeral Services for Georgia Mae Loyd, age 78, of Tullahoma will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 1, 2003, from the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet cemetery in Estill Springs. Mrs. Loyd died Wednesday at Life Care Center. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 till 9:00 Friday evening at Tullahoma Funeral Home.

Mrs. Loyd was born in Estill Springs, TN and is the daughter of the late Harvey and Allie Hise Painter. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, an active member of the Coffee Co. Senior Citizens and retired from Genesco. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Loyd, and two brothers, Jessie Lee and Jerry Ray Painter. For those who wish donations can be made to the Coffee Co. Senior Citizen Center.
