Mary Elizabeth Miller of Hixson and Middle Valley, died Jan. 22, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 76.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with the Rev. Ron Namanny officiating.
Burial will be in the Chattanooga National cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Joseph Paris
Joseph Paris died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, in a local health care facility. He was 76.
Services will be today at noon at Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold K. Lester officiating.
Burial will be in the Chattanooga National cemetery.
Harold Pickett
Harold Duard Pickett died Saturday, Jan, 23, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 84.
He was a native of Virginia and lived most of his life in the Chattanooga area.
He was a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wytheville, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Holdren Pickett; two daughters, Launa Browning and Wanda Martin McDowell, Chattanooga; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel.
Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Nellie Potter
Nellie Virginia Potter of East Brainerd died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, in an area health care facility. She was 80.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the Chattanooga Funeral Home Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Scoggins and Lamar Hayes officiating.
Burial will be in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Viola B. Pullum died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at a local health care facility. She was 111.

Joann Althea 'Joan' Sawyer died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 49.

Grace Simmons
Grace Hays Burgess Simmons of Birmingham, Ala., formerly of Chattanooga, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, at Harpeth Terrace Nursing Center in Franklin, Tenn. She was 89.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Adamsville Church of Christ in Birmingham.
Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
Arrangements are by Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Birmingham.
Barbara Suttles
Barbara L. Suttles died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, in a local hospital.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. William H. Ryan officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.

Linda Taylor
Linda Estelle Taylor died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at her home.

Dorothy Thompson
Dorothy Mae Thompson of Hammond, La., died there Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at a local hospital. She was 76.
She was a native of Syracuse, N.Y., and was a resident of Chattanooga for 20 years before moving to Louisiana.
She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Hammond.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George R. Zollinger.
Survivors include her husband, Ellis L. Thompson, Hammond; one son, Terrell W. Zollinger, Carmel, Ind.; two step-sons, John E. Thompson, Fontana, Calif., and Lyndon A. Thompson, Virginia Beach, Va.; one daughter, Ellen Z. Schumacher, Siloam Springs, Ark.; one sister, Jane A. Story, Tickfaw, La.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held in Hammond.
Graveside services will be held in Collegedale cemetery Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home.
Ernest Tigner
Ernest L. Tigner of Oakdale, La., died there Tuesday, Jan, 12, 1999. He was 47.
He was a graduate of Howard High School in 1971 and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Services were held Thursday in Oakdale.
Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Chattanooga National cemetery.

Alfred Williams
Alfred Williams, formerly of Chattanooga, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Floyd Wilson
Floyd E. Wilson died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, in an area health care facility. He was 87.
He was a native of Dallas, Texas, but had lived in the Chattanooga area most of his life. He worked for McEntire Grocery, Koblentz Clothing and Miller Brothers.
He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Henry E. Wilson; and one sister, Alice Hooper, Chattanooga.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Turner Funeral Home Dodds Avemue Chapel with Dr. Bill Owens officiating.
Burial will follow in Chattanooga National cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 4 to 5 and 7 at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eula Wooten
Eula H. Wooten died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 74.
The Athens, Ala., native had lived most of her life in Chattanooga.
Burial will be today at 10 a.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery.
