Robert Dover
Robert L. Dover of East Ridge died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 60.
He was the son of the late Joseph W. and Virginia Jones Dover.
He was a 1957 graduate of Chattanooga Valley High School, was retired from the Chattanooga Glass Co., and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria T. Dover; five sons, Barry A., Tim L., Chris D., Stephen L., and Michael C. Dover, all of East Ridge; one sister, Beatrice Traylor, Chattanooga; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Nolan officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Edgar Grundset
Edgar O. Grundset of Collegedale, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 77.
Arrangements will be announced by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
Paul Hickey
Paul Joseph Hickey died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at his home. He was 87.
Services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Nolan officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Norrene Howell
Norrene Howell died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at the home of her daughter in Olive Branch, Miss. She was 65.
She was a native of Atlanta, Ga., and had been a resident of the Chattanooga area since 1970.
She was member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include three children, Betty VanDevender, Searcy, Ariz., J. Michael Howell, Chattanooga, and Cindy Tidwell, Olive Branch; several brothers and sisters; four grandchildren; one stepgrandchild;, and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike McGinnis officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Grady Kelley
Grady W. Kelley died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 79.
Graveside services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National cemetery with the Rev. Robert Hughes officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:15 at the West Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Billy Lusk of Mesa, Ariz., died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999.

Raymond Mahan
Raymond Mahan of Sale Creek died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 85.
Mr. Mahan retired from TVA after 20 years of service. He was a Baptist and a member of Labor Local 846.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Mahan, and a son, Howard Mahan.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Hodge, Sale Creek; one sister, Lorie Allender, Soddy-Daisy; four grandchildren and two great-graandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Johnston and the Rev. J.D. Carnes officiating.
Burial will be in Smith cemetery.
Emmely Matt
Emmely Magdalena Matt of Signal Mountain and a native of Duisberg-Hamborn, Germany, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at a local health care facility. She was 79.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Alexian Village Chapel on Signal Mountain, with the Rev. Maro Cannon officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2 p.m. at Alexian.

Thelma Louise McNabb died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at her home. She was 82.

Mamie Miller Mamie Jones Miller died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 91.

Carlene Potts
Carlene Denise Potts of the Hendon community died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at her home. She was 59.
She was an employee of Conoco Oil Co., and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Potts, Hendon; two sons, Jerry A. Potts, Chattanooga and David M. Potts, Hendon; two sisters, Lorain Walker, Chattanooga and Henrietta Walker Breland, Hendon; and three grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve James officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Sue Powell
Sue Wright Powell, formerly of Chattanooga, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in Knoxville.
She was a native of Corinth, Miss., the widow of Wayne Alan Powell, and a member of First-Centenary United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Powell was a teacher at Missionary Ridge School for 23 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Lynn P. Kleinfelter, Knoxville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Patricia Dover-Bedwell officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.

Gail Winnette Cain Sayre of Rossville died Thursday, Jan. 27, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 58.
She was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Leonard 'Len' Sayre; her mother, Ethel Page, Calhoun, Ga.; one daughter, Angie Teems, Chickamauga; two sons, Joey Brooks, Greenville, Tenn., and Mike Brooks, Jacksonville, N.C.; one sister, Sandra Johnson, Harrison; three brothers, Tony Page, Calhoun, Stanley Page, Chattanooga, and Terry Page, Flintstone, Ga.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Johnson officiating.
