Infant Caleb Anderson
Caleb Thomas Anderson, the infant son of April Marie Frazier and Thomas Earl Anderson, died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, in a local hospital.
Survivors include his grandparents, Cheryl Wattenbarger, Rossville, Tenn., and Ray and Judy Anderson, Rossville; great-grandmothers, Nell Geary, Tracy City, Tenn., and Juanita Anderson, Palmer, Tenn.
Services were to be held at 10 a.m. today at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in Tracy City cemetery.
Katherine Allen
Katherine Merrie Royster Allen of Clarksville, Tenn., died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at a Clarksville hospital. She was 91.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home, Clarksville, with the Rev. Ken Edmondson and the Rev. Joe Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
The family will recieve friends today from 11 a.m. to the service at the funeral home.
George Anderson
George J. Anderson died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998.
Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
Franklin Ashworth
Franklin Delano Ashworth of Rossville died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at his home. He was 62.
He was a member of Rossville Baptist Tabernacle and retired from SCT Yarns after more than 30 years of service.
He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Winona Ashworth; a son, Jeff Ashworth, Scottsboro, Ala.; a daughter, Susan Robinson, Apison; two brothers, Greely Ashworth and A.C. Ashworth, both of Rock Springs; three sisters, Margie Ashworth and Agnes Garner, both of Rock Springs, and Sarah Luttrell, Doraville, Ga.; a grandchild; two stepgrandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Rossville, with the Rev. David Winton officiating.
Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today after 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Juanita Bankston
Juanita C. Bankston died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at a local health care facility. She was 76.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in the Golden Gateway and the Martha Bales Sunday School Class. She was retired from the Social Security Administration and was a member of the World War I Auxiliary.
She was widowed by Tillman Bankston.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Martin, Canton, Ga., and three grandchildren.
Services will be today at 3 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Lee and the Rev. George Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Martha Bales Sunday School at First Baptist Church on Gateway Avenue in Chattanooga.
Paul Bischoff
Paul A. Bischoff of Birchwood, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at his home. He was 85.
Survivors and arrangements will be announced later.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fike Funeral Home, Cleveland.
Louise Clark
Louise Morris Turner Clark of Rossville, Ga., died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at a local hospital. She was 75.
Survivors include a daughter, Jerry Sue McConathy, Ringgold, Ga.; a son, Marlin Fred Turner, Rossville; a brother, William A. Morris; two sisters, Ruby Akins and Mary Ruth Townsend, all of Chickamauga, Ga.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Akins officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 12 noon until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mattie Lou Duff
Mattie Lou Duff of Chattanooga died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, in a local nursing home. She was 87.
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with pastor Mark Bresee officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Charles Dyer
Charles 'Charlie' Dyer of East Ridge died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at his home. He was 88.
Services will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Rossville First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Dwight DeNegy, the Rev. Cecil Jenkins and the Rev. Tim Pond officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
Virginia Graves
Virginia Chrisman Graves died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at an Atlanta nursing home. She was 98.
Graveside services will be today at 1 p.m. at Forest Hills cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Wann Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
