ATHENS, Tenn. - James Jerry 'Jake' Watson died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at his home. He was 59.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Nunley and the Rev. Ralph Swafford officiating.
Burial will be in McMinn Memory Gardens.
T.J. Blevins
T.J. Blevins of Henagar, Ala., died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in Chattanooga. He was 76.
He was retired from Combustion Engineering and was a member of American Legion Post #39 in Valley Head, Ala.
He was a member of Fuller Baptist Church in Ider, Ala.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Sidney Blevins, and one sister, Eloise King.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Smith Blevins; one son, Jimmy Blevins; three daughters, Martha McCurdy, Valley Head, and Rhonda White and Kathy Hester, Henagar; one brother, Junior Blevins, Henagar; three sisters, Janette Henderson, Rossville, and Marie Poe and Katherine Spurlock, Henagar; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home Chapel in Henagar with the Rev. Arthur Boydston and the Rev. Ralph Heard officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain Home cemetery in Ider.

James Cash died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999.

A. White Crayne
A. White Crayne of Hixson died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, in a local health care facility. He was 89.
He was a native of Crossville, Tenn., and worked for Chattanooga Garage for 43 years. He was an award-winning photographer.
He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and an elder and a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Lewis Crayne; one daughter, Marion Richards, Tampa, Fla., three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 11:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Richardson and J. Fred Johnson Jr., officiating.
Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Etta Dodson
Etta Olena Dodson of Hixson, a native of Idlewild, Tenn., died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at her home. She was 92.
She attended East Lake Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband Judge J. Ray Dodson.
Survivors include one sister, Onnie Mae Marshall, Idlewild; and one brother, the Rev. King Thetford, Atwood, Tenn.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, with the Rev. Marshall Roberson and the Rev. Donnie Fine officiating.
Entombment will be at the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Hamilton Memorial Gardens cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Claude Finley died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at his home. He was 71.

Amy Jenkins Franklin died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 76.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Ann P. Fridell of East Ridge died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 86.
She was a World War II veteran, having served in the WACS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thornton T. Fridell.
Survivors include one son, Richard P. Fridell; two daughters, Nancy F. Conner and Becky Fridell, Chattanooga; one brother, Leon R. Pittman, Franklin, Va.; two sisters, Edna P. Blythe, Franklin, Va., and Margaret P. Hutchinson, Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.
Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

John Henderson
John H. Henderson of Rossville died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 77.
He was a native of Brownsville, Tenn., and had lived in the North Georgia area for more than six years.
He was a World War II and Korean War veteran and was retired from the United States Navy with 20 years of service. He later retired after 18 years of service with the Civil Services.
He was a member of Flintstone Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was in the Men's Bible Class.
He was preceded in death by two former wives, Bessie Johnson Henderson and Mildred Meeks Henderson.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Holder Henderson; three sons, Tim Henderson, Douglasville, Ga., Alan Henderson, Griffin, Ga., and Jay Henderson, Lawrenceville, Ga.; one stepson, Al Holder, Rossville; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at noon at Lane Funeral Home, South Crest Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Harrison officiating.
Burial will be at Chattanooga National cemetery.

Charles Robert 'C.R.' Henson of Rossville died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 79.

Edith Rosetta Henson of Rossville died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 82.
She was a native and longtime resident of Chattanooga and North Georgia.
She was a Baptist and served as a church pianist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin B. Henson.
Survivors include two sons, Benjamin F. Henson, Tampa, Fla., and Charles Henson, East Ridge; one daughter, Wanda F. Lewis, New Orleans; three sisters, Geraldine Arms and Bernice Miller, Chattanooga, and Betty Aaron, Elijay, Ga.; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home on Battlefield Parkway in Fort Oglethorpe, with the Rev. Dan B. Scott officiating.
Burial will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
