Charles Kellerhals
Charles A. 'Chuck' Kellerhals, who founded North Georgia Furniture Manufacturing Co. on Battlefield Parkway, died Monday, March 8, 1999, in a local health care facility. He was 78.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. David Pickard and the Rev. Robert L. Combs officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Georgia Chapter, 550 Pharr Road, Atlanta, GA 30305.

William Kelley
Dr. William Andrew Kelley of Cary, N.C., died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at his home. He was 44.

He was born in Chattanooga and was a graduate of Woodward Academy in College Park, Ga.

He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees at East Tennessee State University. He was a graduate of the Medical College in Charleston, S.C., for his M.D. degree and received a degree in chiropractic medicine from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include his parents, Paul and Josephine Walker Kelley, Fayette, N.C.; three sons, Andrew Turner Kelley and William Evan Kelley, both of Nashville, and Joseph Alexander Kelley, South Haven, Miss.; one daughter, Georgia Brooke Kelley, South Haven; one brother, Paul B. Kelley Jr., Wake Forest, N.C.; grandmother, Stella Walker, Chattanooga.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Burial will be in LaFayette City cemetery in LaFayette, Ga.

Visitation wll be Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Clifford Lauderdale
Clifford Lauderdale died Monday, March 8, 1999. He was 93.

Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Robert Ledford
James 'Robert' Ledford died Tuesday, March 9, 1999. He was 73.

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Fannie Ledford, and a brother and sister, Horace L. Ledford and Edna Thompson.

Survivors include two sisters, Lula Mae and Mary Jeffery, Rossville; one brother, Elbert Ledford, Chattanooga; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with brother Bob Henson officiating.

Burial will be in Westview cemetery.

Visitation will be all day today at the funeral home.

Joann Long
Joann Goode Long of Hixson died Monday, March 8, 1999, at her home. She was 57.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a Baptist.

Survivors include three daughters, Annette Mayfield, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Alesha Nelson, Hixson, and Kendrall Crawford, Signal Mountain; her mother and stepfather, Dolly and Frank Howington, Pikeville, Tenn.; two sisters, Charlotte Holdaway, Jackson, Tenn., and Tennie Sparks, Gaylesville, Ala.; four brothers, Bobby, Jimmy, Larry, and David Goode, all of Chattanooga; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Trivette officiating.

Burial will be in Lee cemetery.

The family will receive friends all day today at the funeral home.

William McCroskey
William Henry McCroskey died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 86.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Forest Hills cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Bishop Barth Room of Grace Episcopal Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

James McGraw
James E. McGraw of Florence and Montgomery, Ala., died Saturday, March 6, 1999 at his home. He was 60.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, was a postal inspector in Montgomery and had worked for the Florence Post Office. He was a member of Bell Squad Baptist Church and attended Central Baptist Church in Florence.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Thompson McGraw; his mother, Annie M. Venable McGraw; his children, Darrell L. McGraw and Holly T. Bialy, Chattanooga, and J. Byron McGraw, Nashville; one brother, Dalton L. McGraw, Richmond, Va.; and three grandchildren.

Services and burial were held Tuesday in Florence.

Arrangements were made by Spry Funeral Home, Florence, Ala.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Rhelma Moore
Rhelma Moore of Rossville died Monday, March 8, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 78.

Graveside services will be today at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. Ken McCoy officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Fay Perkinson
Fay Ross Perkinson of East Ridge died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 90.

Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Rev. Royce Powell officiating.

Arrangements are by the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

Thaxton Rowe
Thaxton Rowe, formerly of the Washington Hills community, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, in Los Angeles.

Services and burial will be Saturday in California.

Nell Shuford
Nell P. Shuford, a resident of St. Barnabas Apartments for 10 years, died Monday, March 8, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 86.

Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Apartments with the Rev. Kuuli Green officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Apartments or a favorite charity.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.

Donna Sims
Donna Marie Sims died Friday, March 5, 1999, at her home. She was 42.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Caldwell and the Rev. Jimmie Ingram officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Bert Siniard
Hubert O. 'Bert' Siniard Sr. of Harrison died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 67.

Services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at East Chapel, Chattanooga Funeral Home, with the Rev. Billy Dean officiating.

Burial will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Ida Slate
Ida J. Slate of Chattanooga died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 97.

Miss Slate was a graduate of Chattanooga High School and was associated in the family business, M. Slate & Co. Retail Dry Goods for many years.

She was a member of B'nai Zion Synagogue and the Hadassah.

Graveside services will be today at 1:30 p.m. at B'nai Zion cemetery with Rabbi Josef Davidson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to B'nai Zion Synagogue, 114 McBrien Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411.

Arrangements are by J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home.

Edith VanArsdale
Edith Hembree VanArsdale died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 91.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Dr. Dwayne Cole officiating.

Burial will be at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends today from 11:30 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Roy Vance
Roy D. 'Dick' Vance of Signal Mountain died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in a local health care facility. He was 86.

Arrangements are incomplete and a memorial service will be announced at a later date by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Shelly Vandiver
Britteni Jo Michelle 'Shelly' Fanjoy Vandiver died Friday, March 5, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 21.

A memorial service will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Reece Fauchett officiating.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Norman Walker
Norman Walker of Soddy-Daisy died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at his home. He was 62.

Graveside services will be today at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Germaine Walters
Germaine Walters of Hixson died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in a local health care facility. She was 86.

Arrangements will be announced by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
