Juanita Thornton died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was 91.
Graveside services will be today at 11 a.m. in Highland cemetery with Pastor Ronald Tucker and the Rev. Exer Rochell officiating.
Arrangements are by the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
Roy Vance
Roy D. 'Dick' Vance of Signal Mountain died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in a local health care facility. He was 86.
Arrangements are incomplete and a memorial service will be announced at a later date by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Annette Walker
Annette Hall Walker died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in Los Angeles. He was 60.
Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
Faye White
Faye Lawson White, of Corpus Christi, Texas, and a former resident of Rossville, died there Wednesday, March 3, 1999. She was 61.
She was a longtime resident of Rossville, a graduate of Rossville High School, a former employee of Olan Mills in Chattanooga and was retried from the Corpus Christi Army Depot with over 20 years of service. She was a member of Gardendale Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Allen 'Pete' White; one son, Allen White, Corpus Christi; daughter, Jackie Pena, San Benito, Texas; two brothers, Carl Lawson, Corpus Christi, and Kenneth Lowell Lawson, Rossville; and two grandchildren.
Services and burial will be Friday in Corpus Christi.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Wallace E. Wilson of Sale Creek died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at his home. He was 75.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Harley Morrison officiating.
Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church cemetery.
Cecil Anderson
Cecil P. Anderson of East Ridge died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 87.
A native of Cookeville, Tenn., he was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, a veteran of World War II and was retired from Livingston Manufacturing Co.
He was a member, lifetime deacon, and former Sunday school teacher at East Ridge Baptist Church and a member of the Chapel Sunday School class.
He was the husband of the late Ruby Morgan Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Welch Anderson; two daughters, Carol Russell, Ooltewah and Janet Taylor, Chattanooga; two brothers, Earl Anderson, Warren, Mich., and Vernon Anderson, Cookeville; three sisters, Evelyn Mason, Mickel Cantrell and Ella Ramsey, all of Cookeville.
Services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell and the Rev. C. Henry Preston officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Hazel Brooks
Hazel M. Brooks died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in an area nursing home. She was 87.
Mrs. Brooks was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a member of the Original Church of God for over 70 years.
She was widowed by both Samuel Floyd Scott and George H. Brooks.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny L. Scott, Indianapolis, Ind., William A. Scott, Tampa, Fla., and Gerald E. Scott, Chattanooga; one stepson, Henry Brooks, Chattanooga; one stepdaughter, Georgeanna Brooks, Dover, Fla.; half brother, Noah Mitchell, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Harkins and the Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Benjamin Butler
Benjamin Frances Butler of Philadelphia, Pa., died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, in a hospital there. He was 77.
Local survivors include a brother, Charlie Frank Butler, and a sister, Annie P. Sanders, Chattanooga.
Services and burial will be Saturday in Philadelphia.

Phillip Cameron
Phillip Cameron Jr. died Monday, March 1, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 72.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Ridgedale Church of Christ with brother Rufus Williams and other ministers officiating.
Burial will be in South View cemetery in La Grange, Ga.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Deborah Jean Collins died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at her home. She was 47.
A memorial service will be today at 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road .

Grace Creadick
Grace Edna Creadick died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in a local nursing care facility.
She was a native of Wilmington, Del., and had lived in Chattanooga for the past four years.
Survivors include her husband, Carleton E. Creadick, Signal Mountain; one daughter, Joan C. Biggers, Lookout Mountain; one sister, Margaret Walls, Sudersville, Md.; and a granddaughter.
Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. in Forest Hills cemetery with the Rev. Frank Hitchings and Dr. George Long officiating.
There will be no visitation at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Charles Davidson
Charles M. Davidson of Signal Mountain died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 93.
Mr. Davidson was a native of Fulton, Ky. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with degrees in science and engineering, and received a master's degree in public health from the University of Michigan.
In Kentucky, he was the director of the Health Department and held a commission of the Public Health Service. He served on a public health team for the Ford Foundation in India, the Philippines and Singapore.
Mr. Davidson was chief of the Environmental Hygiene Branch Division of the health and safety section of TVA. He was the first charter president of Bicentennial Volunteers Inc., of TVA, and a member of the Retirees Association.
He was a Kentucky colonel and was listed in 'Who's Who in the South and Southwest.'
He was actively involved in church and was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian where he was honored as deacon and elder emeritus.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Davidson, Signal Mountain; one daughter, Susan Borden, Wilmington, Del.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church in the Marr Chapel with Dr. William Dudley and the Rev. David Swanson officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James Blvd., Signal Mountain, TN 37377.

Gearldeen 'Geri' Davis died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 70.
She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William F. 'Bill' Davis; three daughters, Debra Ray, Hendon, Tenn., Karen Cross, Rossville, Ga.; and Teri Bailey, Red Bank; three sisters, Jackie Pierce, Chattanooga, Ailen Lykens, Ocala, Fla., and Rosanell Wright, Chattanooga; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Evans officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Willie C. Duke died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 78.
She was a Jehovah's Witness and the widow of Ernest Duke.
Survivors include four sons, Ernest Gene Duke and David S. Duke, both of Chattanooga, Charles Duke, Smyrna, Ga., and Earnest James Duke, New York; four daughters, Jessie P. Wynn, New Haven, Conn., Ernestine Hamilton, Charlene Duke, Shirley Bennett, Chattanooga and Shirlene Dixon, Atlanta.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with brother Charles William officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.

Oneida Ferguson of Soddy-Daisy died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 76.
She was a member of Coffelt Road Church of God, and the widow of Thomas Ferguson.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Ferguson, Soddy-Daisy; one brother, Edwin Lawson, Fort Oglethorpe.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. J.L. Bice officiating.
