Juanita Knox Alexander died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at her home. She was 64.
She was retired from Caldsted Manor Nursing Home and was a member of Greater Park City Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Franchott Alexander, Chattanooga, Rodney Alexander, Chickamauga, and David Alexander, Kensington, Ga.; a brother, Benjamin H. Knox, Chattanooga; sister, Dorothy Mae Stroude, Chattanooga; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Greater Park City Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Hewlett officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Henry Baker
Henry Judson Baker of Harrison died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, in a local hospital. He was 74.
Mr. Baker had retired from Lone Star Ford in Houston as an auto technician. He was a member of the Assembly of God of Spring, Texas, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Baker, Harrison; two sons, Raymond and Calvin L. Baker, both of Houston; four daughters, Linda Callahan, Pisgah, Ala., Mary Jane Best, Scottsboro, Ala., Lois Fay Hollowell and Joyce May Baker, both of Houston; seven brothers, Bill Baker, Hixson, Leroy Baker, Dongola, Ill., Robert Baker, Bridgeport, Ala., Johnny Baker, Scottsboro, Ala., Alvin Baker, Huntsville, Ala., Charlie Baker, Cleveland, Texas, and James Baker; two sisters, Ruby Henegar, Stevenson, Ala., and Betty Ruth McDaniel, Sealy, Texas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at noon at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marylee W. Helmericks of East Brainerd died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 74.
She had lived in Chattanooga for the past six years, having moved from Atlanta. She was a member of Westview Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph E. Helmericks; a son, Steve Helmericks, Harrison; and three grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with the Rev. James Patterson officiating.
