Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. CST at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with Tom Farmer and others officiating.
Burial will be in Crossville City cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church or New Hope Baptist Church building fund.
Willene Staton
Willene Pankey Staton died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at a local nursing home. She was 73.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Creel officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends today from 2-5 p.m.
Mary Stanley
Mary Stanley died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, in a local nursing home.

James Stanfield
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - James David Stanfield died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at his home.
He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church, retired from A and R Knitting, an Air Force veteran, and the father of the late Bryan B. Stanfield.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Lee Green Stanfield; two daughters, Melanie L. and Tina L. Stanfield; two sons, James R. and Richard D. Stanfield; all of Cleveland; four sisters, Joyce Barker, Riceville, Tenn., and Carolyn Sylvester, Birchwood; Barbara Christenson, Minnesota, and Virginia Baker, Tennessee; four grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of Buckner-Rush Funeral Home with the Rev. Daryl Pratt and the Rev. Luther Eslinger officiating.
Burial will be in Michigan Avenue cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ben Standifer
Benjamin 'Ben' Standifer died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at his home.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from Western Union after 25 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Standifer; son, Benney Standifer; sister Ida Bettis, all of Chattanooga.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse Carl Nolan and Minister Jim Long officiating.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. EST in Mount Carmel cemetery, Bridgeport, Ala.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charles Spencer
Charles Ray Spencer died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at his home.
He was an employee of the Chattanooga Fire Department for 21 years and was employed at the time of his death by the city of Chattanooga at the Moccasin Bend Water Treatment Plant.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Spencer; three sons, Stephen Boston and Tony Spencer, all of Chattanooga, and Charles Ryan Spencer, Virginia Beach, Va.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at noon at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.
Cecil Spangler
Cecil Spangler of Signal Mountain died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, in a local hospital. He was 77.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Fairmount cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
Iris Rish
Iris Bannie Rish of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Chattanooga, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at a hospital there. He was 85.
He was born in Vardaman, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Rish; parents, Arthur and Ida Dowdy Rish; and a grandson, Randy Coulter.
Survivors include a daughter, June Coulter, Omaha; a brother, Odis Rish, Kankekee, Ill.; a sister, Frances Yerby, Tucson, Ariz.; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were today at 2 p.m. at Gunter and Peel Funeral Home in Columbus, Miss., with the Rev. Phillip Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Tabernacle UMC cemetery in Pickens County, Ala.

Arthur Franklin Robertson of East Brainerd died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at his home. He was 83.

Willie Roddy
Miss Willie J. Roddy of Soddy-Daisy died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, in a local hospital. She was 87.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Nelson, Soddy-Daisy, Edith Drennon, Detroit, Mich.; four brothers, J.H. and Morris Roddy, Hixson, Douglas and Albert Roddy, Soddy-Daisy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rick Mansfield officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charles Roderick
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Charles Millard Roderick died Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, in a Nashville hospital. He was 25.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Cingan Ridge Baptist Church.
He was the grandson of the late Henry Taylor and Emma Lee Guffey.
Survivors include his wife, Michele Ann Roderick, Cleveland; father and mother, James Millard and Kathy Guffey Roderick, Cleveland; grandmother, Ruby P. Roderick, Cleveland.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, Cleveland, with the Rev. Dennis Cagle officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Hershel Rogers
Hershel John Rogers, who worked for Peerless Woolen Mills for more than 30 years and was the father of well-known area entertainer James Rogers, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, in a local nursing home. He was 83.
The funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Scott officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Anne Rowe
Anne Y. Rowe died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Rowe was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and its Kemp Sunday school class.
She attended the University of Chattanooga and taught ballet for a number of years in Dalton, Ga.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Rowe; sister, Margaret Y. Hix, Waterloo, S.C., and Horseshoe Beach, Fla.; one nephew and one niece.
The funeral will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Bob Childress and the Rev. Elizabeth Lambert officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
