Mary Nelle Pendergrass, age 81, departed this life on July 31, 2005. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Nichols, Rev. Van Johnson & Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Fuenral Home. She was raised in the Flintville community and was preceded in death by her husband: Ernest J. Pendergrass, Sr.; father: Moses E. Halcomb; mother: Lula Hasty Halcomb; 3 brothers: Troy, Cecil & Leamon Halcomb and 1 sister: Frankie Kilgore. She is survived by her children: Joe Pendergrass & wife, Marie; Jimmy Pendergrass & wife, Sarah; Jerry Pendergrass & wife, Jane; 9 grandchildren: Justin Pendergrass, Michael Pendergrass, Chris Pendergrass, Kim Nichols, Kristy Towry, Kelly Davis, Penny Marston, Melissa Burt & Jackie Bloxham; 10 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Inez Daniels of Fayetteville, TN & Sarah Patrick of Hixson, TN; 2 brothers: Clyde Halcomb of Hixson, TN & Johnnie Halcomb of Lawrenceville, GA and a whole host of relatives and friends!

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Pamplin, age 47, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, August 3, 3005 in Lincoln Skill Care, will be conducted Friday, August 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Mrs. Pamplin was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Bennie Richardson Crabtree, Sr. & the late Annie Belle Carter Crabtree, a machine operator for Del-Met and a member of the Taft Full Gospel Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Pamplin was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Elizabeth Diane Pamplin. Survivors include 2 sons: James Brian Pamplin & Timothy Dwayne Pamplin both of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sisters: Becky Hames & Judy Holt both of Flintville, TN; 2 brothers: Bennie R. Along with her parents, Miss Morrison was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Joe Loyd Morrison & Espy Morrison & 1 sister: Lois Morrison. Mrs. Simmons was the daughter of the late Jessie Crouch and the late Lela Smith Crouch, a long time seamstress and supervisor at Serbin Fashions and owner/operator of 3 Fayetteville restaurants: Bessie B's, Cook Rite and the original founder of the Bar-B-Que Shack before retiring. Along with her parents, Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband: Fonnie Raymond Simmons, Sr. and brother: R.L. Crouch of Lincoln Park, MI. Funeral services for Mr. Grady G. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Mr. Clark was a native of Princeton, AL, son of the late Billow & Ethel Hambrick Clark. He was a Quality Control inspector for General Motors for 30 years, a WWII Navy veteran, a member of the South Fayetteville Church of Christ and loved to deer hunt. Along with his parents, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Donna A. Worden. Survivors include his wife: Juanita P. Clark of Park City, TN; 3 daughters: Deborah Moore of Cleveland, OH, Danetta Smith of Athens, AL, Doreena Cagle of Park City, TN; 3 sons: Dennis Clark, David Clark, Darrell Clark all of Cleveland, OH; 2 sisters: Marie Stone of S. Mr. Rice was a native of Alabama, son of the late Willie Lee & Blanche Fowler Rice, a machinist, a veteran of the Vietnam & Korean wars and retired from the Air Force after 20 years service and was a member of the Elora Baptist Church.
