Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille (Lankford) Wilmoth, 83, of Cookeville, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2002, from the chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home in Cookeville with Dr. Charles McCaskey officiating. Burial was in Campground cemetery in Overton County with Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Wilmoth died Tuesday, April 23 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood. She was a retired cook with the Putnam County School System and of the Presbyterian faith.
Born May 2, 1918, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Shirley and Vela (Barlow) Setser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Willis Lankford and Jim Wilmoth; a son, Willis David Lankford; and a brother, Horace Setser.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and James Ray Jr. and Mary and Carlos Ledford, all of Cookeville, and Carolyn and William L. "Bill" Needham, Livingston; two sisters, Evelyn Burroughs, Cookeville, and Sally Eldridge, Whitton, CA; seven grandchildren, Patricia Glass, Sandra Magnuson, Debbie Tays, Mike Ray, Karen Shaw, Julie Ruesewalid, and Lynn Needham; eight great grandchildren; and three great- great grandchildren.
Ada Elise (Johnson) Williams
Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Elise (Johnson) Williams, 74, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2002, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial was in St. JohnÕs cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Williams died Thursday, April 25 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was a housewife and member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Born March 27, 1928, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Betty (Zachary) Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Johnson, Edward Johnson, and Plez Johnson; and three sisters, Grace Daniels, Ema Hensley, and Delsie Maglich.
Survivors include her husband, John L. Williams, Livingston; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Margaret Williams, Livingston; a sister, Cleo Long, Livingston; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Williams, Timothy Williams, Edd Long, Tom Hensley, Jimmy Maglich, and Willard Johnson.
Caster EMmery "Junior" West Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Caster Emery "Junior" West Jr., 66, of Pall Mall, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2002, from Williams Chapel Church with Bro. Randy Tompkins and Bro. Alan Dixon officiating. Burial was in Williams Chapel cemetery with Livingston Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. West died Friday, April 19 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a farmer and a member of Williams Chapel Church, Byrdstown Masonic Lodge Post 496, and Eastern Star Order 404. Born July 23, 1935, in Fentress County, he was the son of the late Caster Emery West and Ina Mae (Prichard) West. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Hershel West, Kerby West, Jay West, and Jack West.
Survivors include his wife, Wilmirth Louise (Williams) West, Pall Mall; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth D. and Pauletta West and Tim and Rebecca West, all of Pall Mall; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Kathy West, Pall Mall; six sisters and and five brothers-in-law, Alma and Walter Lowery and Wilma and Don Williams, all of Pall Mall, Allene and Ransome Clark, Cookeville, Georgia Mae and Steven Qualls and Betty Sue and Guy Dale Beaty, all of Jamestown, and Joyce Mathis, Byrdstown; and five grandchildren, Jacob West, Erica West, Ashley West, Tyler West, and Kendra West.
Pallbearers were Donnie Williams, Ronnie Stanford, Steve Clark, Steven Qualls, Kim West, Stacy West, Darrell Huddleston, and Richard West. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Larry Storie, Vern Storie, Sonny Anderson, A.L. Pierce, Willie West, Shirley West, Doug West, Doyle West, and Bobby Williams.
Sandra Key Voiles
Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Key Voiles, 51, of Anderson, IN, and formerly of Twinton, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2002, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Tony Barnett officiating. Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Voiles died Friday, April 26 at her home in Anderson.
Born January 18, 1951, in Twinton, she was the daughter of Bobbie Jean (Cleghorn) Key of Anderson and the late Stanley "Buster" Key. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Key.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Ken Voiles, Anderson; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Jennifer and Frank Hules, California; a stepson, Kevin Voiles, Anderson; two aunts, Tib Payton and Rosemary Hogerman, both of Anderson; two nephews, Brent Key and Blake Key, both of Monterey; and several cousins.
Ida Oka Speck
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Oka Speck, 92, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Green officiating. Burial was in Good Hope cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Speck died Sunday, April 21 at N.H.C. Health Care in Cookeville. She was a nurse at Cookeville General Hospital and a member of First United Church in Livingston.
Born March 26, 1910, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late F.F. and Mary Susan Dubree. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Thurman Brewington, and Frank Speck; three sisters, Ada Burchett, Ethel Kean, and Estelle Ferrel; and three brothers, Tommy Dubree, William Dubree, and Francis Dubree.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Delora Stepsis, J.T. Dubree, Lorain Bussell, Vella Dean Dyer, Omer Dubree, Loama Haskel, Jean Alcorn, Sue Farris, Betty Sparkman, and Lesby Peterman; and several great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Omer Dubree, J.T. Dubree, Roy Peterman, and Freddie Alcorn. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Keith Heiskell and Jerry Beason.
Willie Ray Pierce
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Ray Pierce, 69, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2002, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Tony Barnett and Rev. Jack Taylor officiating. Burial was in Welch Memorial cemetery with Goff Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Pierce died Friday, April 26 at his home. He was a member of Monterey First Freewill Baptist Church, was retired from Duriron in Cookeville, and worked as a custodian at Uffelman Elementary School in Monterey.
Born March 13, 1933, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Roy and Edna (Hoover) Pierce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Pierce; an infant sister; and an infant brother.
Survivors include his wife, Anita (Geer) Pierce, Monterey; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Trina Pierce, Monterey; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and A.G. Bowman and Anna and Clyde Bowman, all of Hanging Limb; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Pierce, Monterey, and Barbara Roberts, Brookeville, OH; three brothers-in-law, James Geer and Bill Geer, both of Monterey, and Frank Geer, Centerville, OH; and a granddaughter, Abby Pierce, Monterey. Pallbearers were his nephews.
Johnnie Bryant Oakley
Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Bryant Oakley, 32, of Monroe, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Cletis Beason officiating. Burial was in Nelson cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Oakley died Saturday, April 20 at Smith County Memorial Hospital. He was a factory maintenance worker and a member of Hatcher Hall Christian Church.
Born November 10, 1969, in Overton County, he was the son of Don C. and Nina E. (Bilbrey) Oakley of the Hatcher Hall Community. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include two brothers, Tim Oakley and Jason Oakley, both of Monroe; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers were Roger Worley, Johnny Shane Mansel, Michael Ledbetter, Phillip Lee, Jerry Lee, and Mike Lee. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Trenton Iles and Rich Froming.
Michael James Miller
Funeral services for Mr. Michael James Miller, 46, of the Vines Ridge Community near Crawford, were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2002, from Mineral Springs First Baptist Church with Bro. Mr. Miller died Saturday, April 27 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was a member of Mineral Springs First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a commercial drywall supervisor with Price Davis Construction in Nashville.
Born February 27, 1956, in Monterey, he was the son of the late Cordell and Ruby (Norrod) Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ruth Ann Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Danette (Dial) Miller, Vines Ridge Community; two sons and their fiancees, Michael Jason Miller and Lori Ann Patrick and Ryan Blake Miller and Amy White, all of Crossville; three sisters, Justean McDonald, Monterey, Twila Wilson, Vines Ridge, and Judy Lowe, Hanging Limb; seven brothers, Raymond Miller and Howard Miller, both of Rickman, Billy Miller, Albany, IN, Beacher Miller and Freddie Miller, both of Vines Ridge, Clyde Miller, Dunkirk, IN, and Bruce Miller, Monterey; and a granddaughter, Whitney Raines.
Iris Imogene (Greenwood) Ledbetter

Mrs. Ledbetter died Tuesday, April 23 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a housewife and attended the House of Faith Church in Livingston.
Born November 23, 1932, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Tina Bell (Buck) Greenwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harvey D. Greenwood, Marvin Leroy Greenwood, and Randall Benton Greenwood; and two grandchildren, Ricky Johnson and Michael Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Lester Ledbetter, Hilham; five daughters, Barbara Ann Barlow, Livingston, Janie Johnson and Janet Geesling, both of Hilham, Rita Faye Ledbetter, Rickman, and Regina Hitchcock, Cookeville; two sons, Leon Ledbetter, Cookeville, and Mark Anthony Ledbetter, Hilham; a sister, Irene Hammock, Hilham; three brothers, Clovis Greenwood and Billy Greenwood, both of Hilham, and Charles Greenwood, Livingston; 12 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Alvis Mark McCormick

Mr. McCormick died Monday, April 22 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a self-employed painter and a member of Flatt Creek Church of Christ.
Born June 21, 1911, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Elbert and Margaret (Ledbetter) McCormick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie (Neal) McCormick; a daughter, Wyeath Crumley; three sisters, Maymie McCormick, Lucy Gilpatrick, and Lela McCormick; and seven brothers, Walter McCormick, Bob McCormick, Herman McCormick, Addison McCormick, James McCormick, Lee McCormick, and Carver McCormick.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Willetta McCormick, Hilham, and Betty and Ken Wilson, Bedford, IN.

Modenia Greenwood

Mrs. Greenwood died Monday, April 22 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith.
Born April 4, 1941, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Orville and Jewel Grace Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wonnie Ogletree; and three brothers, Joe Dailey, Bobby Dailey, and Walter Dailey.
Survivors include her husband, Carlos Greenwood, Livingston; two daughters, Patricia McAlpin, Sevierville, and Mary Linder, Livingston; a brother, Larry Wayne Dailey, Georgia; three grandchildren, Gentry Linder, Jessie Linder, and Toni Koger; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gentry Linder, Jessie Linder, Roger Linder, Jack Brown, Jim Rice, and Orden Dulworth. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Toni Koger and Levi Gentry Linder.
Helene Theresa Deck

Mrs. Deck died Tuesday, April 23 at her home. She was retired from Tennessee Technological University Curriculum and Instruction Department and a member of Algood United Methodist Church.
Born April 11, 1927, in West Bend, WI, she was the daughter of the late John and Armela Kalmus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James John Kalmus.
Survivors include her husband, J.B. Deck, Algood; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Greg and Teresia Deck, Grimsley, Bob and Kate Deck, Knoxville, and Jim Deck, Crossville; three sisters, Arlene Buschman, Therese Nobles, Delores Weyer; two brothers, Robert Kalmus and John Kalmus; and three grandchildren, Kendra Deck, Kerri Deck, and Olivia Deck.

He was a construction worker and a member of First Baptist Church in Livingston.
Born October 25, 1960, in Overton County, he was the son of Dorris Imogene (Cantrell) Ford of Livingston and the late James Lenord Ford.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a brother, William Allen Ford, Livingston; eight sisters, Sandra Walker, Mary Cadeza, Darlene Delong, Teresa Hooks, Vicki Ford Pryor and Tammy Key, all of Livingston, Sherry Rogers, Georgia, and Toni Gonzalas, New Jersey; a half-sister, Vivian Ford, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
