Funeral services for Mr. Charles Pitts, age 63, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Thursday, July 7, 2005 in Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Monday, July 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery. Mr. Pitts was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Leonard William Pitts & the late Mary Ruth Matlock Pitts, a night watchman for the Cotton Mill, an Army veteran and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 brother: Wiley Hugh Pitts of McBurg, TN; 20 nieces & nephews, 34 great nieces & nephews & 4 great-great nieces & nephews. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Robert W. Mann, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert W. Mann, Sr., age 86, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Saturday, July 9, 2005 in Lincoln Skill Care, will be conducted Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Dennis Kimery & Richard Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Mann was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late William Franklin Mann & the late Sarah C. Bradley Mann, a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with his parents, Mr. Mann was preceded in death by his wife: Essie E. Walker Mann. Survivors include 3 daughters: Elizabeth Limbaugh of Winchester, TN, Brenda David of Union Mills, IN, Sherry Stovall of Tullahoma, TN; 4 sons: Wilburn Mann of Fayetteville, TN, Charles Mann of Flintville, TN, Billy Mann of Kelso, TN, Jerry Mann of Flintville, TN; 3 sisters: Clara Harbin of Flintville, TN, Eunice Harbin of Fayetteville, TN, Kathleen Jorden of Kokomo, IN; 1 brother: Clayton Mann of Flintville, TN; 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 4 until 9 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Robert Taylor

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Taylor, age 56, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Monday, July 11, 2005 at his residence, will be conducted Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was a native of Lincoln County, son of Maudie Mae Mearse Taylor & the late Edward Bee Taylor. He was a grocery store owner, a member of the Flintville Holiness Church, the Lincoln County Horseman Association, past secretary of the Harness Association of Tennessee & Auctioneer Association Interminent. Along with his mother, Mr. Taylor is survived by 8 sisters: Jeanette Hillis of Flintville, TN, Rochelle Russell, Patricia Dye both of Kelso, TN, Barbara Quick of Flintville, TN, Elizabeth Stines of Belvidere, TN, Rebecca Turner of Joppa, AL, Debbie Mitchell of Flintville, TN, Anita Jeans of Fayetteville, TN; 2 brothers: Larry Taylor & David Taylor both of Flintville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Albertia 'Granny Bert' Vaughn

Funeral services for Mrs. Albertia 'Granny Bert' Vaughn, age 96, of Huntsville, AL, who passed away Monday, July 18, 2005 in Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Thursday, July 21, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Richard Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Vaughn was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Bruce Sorrells and the late Nancy Jane Brown Sorrells, a housewife and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. Along with her parents, Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her husband: Willie C. Vaughn; 2 step-sons: Charles Edward Vaughn & Junior Vaughn; 2 grandchildren: Helen Faye Vaughn & Betty Vaughn. Survivors include 2 daughters: Billie Rutledge Johnston & Peggy Highfill Stewart both of Huntsville, AL; son: Bobby Vaughn of Fayetteville, TN; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 12 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Almedia Cobb

Funeral services for Mrs. Almedia L. Cobb, age 75, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2005 in Crestwood Medical Center, will be conducted Friday, July 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Cobb was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late John Loyd Reese & the late Lillian Sue Bradford Reese, a housewife and a member of the West End Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Gayle Sue Spencer, Glendon Delores Gordon & Betty Jean Holliday. Survivors include her husband: Billy Cobb of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother: Charles 'Buddy' & Marie Reese of Fayetteville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sarah Lucille Whitworth Lee

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Lucille Whitworth Lee, age 81, of Franklin Ave., Fayetteville, TN, died Tuesday afternoon, July 19, 2005 in the Donalson Care Center. she was a member of the West End Baptist Church. She was retired from Serbin Fashions. She was the daughter of the late W.L. & Pearl Prince Whitworth. Visitation with the family will be at the Gallant Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, July 21, 2005 followed by the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with burial in the Flintville Cemetery beside her late husband, Tommie C. Lee, who died in 1998. Mrs. Lee is survived by 3 daughters: Barbara Willene Spray & husband, Joyce, Earlene Pickett & husband: Kenneth, Billie Scott & husband: Buddy; 1 son: Danny M. 'Mickey' Lee & wife, Joan all of Fayetteville, TN; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild. Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband: Tommie C. Lee; parents: W.L. & Pearl Prince Whitworth; 2 brothers: W.L. 'Bill' Whitworth & Lee Roy Whitworth; 1 sister: Marie Whitworth Caldwell; 1 daughter: Nancy Ann Lee & 2 grandchildren: Brenda Jo & Pamela Sullivan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Bess McWhirter, age 89, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2005 in Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Monteith & Rev. Michael Hearrell officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Mrs. McWhirter was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Hal Franklin & the late Bessie Franklin. She was a housewife and a member of the Flintville 1st Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband: Charley James McWhirter of Flintville, TN; cousin: Tammy Hudson Monteith of Misawa, Japan; nieces: Betty June Riddle of Huntland, TN, Juanita Rupp, Dora Poholski both of Ohio, Elaine Gannon of California & nephew: Eddie Daniel of Ohio. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thelma Thompson Wagner

Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Thompson Wagner, age 86, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, July 21, 2005 in Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation, will be conducted Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Wagner was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Henry M. Thompson & the late Mamie E. Frame Thompson. She was a housewife, who was formerly employed by the Elk Cotton Mill, and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include 1 niece: Susan Dunivan of Murfreesboro, TN; 2 nephews: John Thompson & Greg Thompson both of Fayetteville, TN and 1 great niece: Amy Dunivan of Murfreesboro, TN. Visitation with the family will be Saturday prior to the service.

Mrs. Bettye Sue Morrison

Funeral services for Mrs. Bettye Sue Morrison, age 70, of Hazel Green, AL, who passed away Saturday, July 23, 2005 in Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Jerry Gatlin officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mrs. Morrison was a native of Marshall Co., AL, daughter of the late Clifford C. & Willie Mae Green Pollard, a quality control inspector for SCI in Arab, AL, where she retired in 1999 after 25 years. Along with her parents, Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her husband: William Joshua Morrison in 2001. Survivors include 1 daughter: Lorrie East of Fayetteville, TN; 2 grandchildren: April Davidson & Kenneth East both of Huntsville, AL; 2 sisters: Bonnie Holder of Hazel Green, AL, Dottie Woods of Centerville, TN; 3 nieces: Sandy Roberts & Shannon Erath both of Fayetteville, TN, Sonya Williamson of Hazel Green, AL; 2 nephews: Michael Williamson of Hazel Green, AL, Bryan Smith of Murfreesboro, TN. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Billy Joe McAnally

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe McAnally, age 64, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, July 29, 2005 at his residence, will be conducted Sunday, July 31, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. James Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Elora Cemetery. Mr. McAnally was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Roy McAnally & the late Bessie Louise Caldwell McAnally, a truck driver and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 daughters: Donna McAnally of Ardmore, AL, Sonya McAnally of Ardmore, TN; 1 son: Richard McAnally of Elkmont, AL; half-brother: Sammy Caldwell of Fayetteville, TN; 2 grandsons & 3 granddaughters. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Hospital Home Health & Hospice, 1797 Wilson Parkway, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
