Funeral services for Mrs. Annie B. Taylor, 89, of Hilham, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, March 22, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Allens Chapel cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Taylor, a housewife, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 9, 1910, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Poston and Ida Masters Poston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clure Taylor; and two sisters, Mary Haney and Effie Allen.

She was a member of Allens Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Olen Taylor, Indianapolis, IN; a daughter, Pearl Pennington, Cookeville; two half-brothers, Haskell Allen, Hilham, and Otis Allen, Cookeville; one half-sister, Bertha Allen, Livingston; three grandchildren, Danny Taylor, Bruce Taylor, both of Indianapolis, IN, and Lonnie Taylor, Castalian Springs; and four great grandchildren.

Margie Ovalene Clark
Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Ovalene Clark, 67, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Clayton officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Clark, a housekeeper at Overton County Nursing Home, died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born June 30, 1932, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late J.P. and Nova Ann Mayberry Neal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estill Clark.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Dixon, Defeated; two brothers, Milton Neal, Livingston, and Millard Neal, Tipton, IN; three sisters, Modean Raines, Mildred York, both of Livingston, and Marie Holman, Cookeville; and two grandchildren, Tiffany Dixon and Kyle Dixon, both of Defeated.

Pallbearers were J.D. Holman, Jeff Pennycuff, Alan Eldridge, Joey Smith, Pat Norris, and Jim Hoover. Special pallbearers were T.J. Preston and Todd Smith.

Daisy Lucile Cooper
Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Lucile Cooper, 80, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Keith Ledbetter officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memorial cemetery in Troy, MI, with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Cooper, a housewife, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 17, 1919, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Colen and Denton England Dishman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Clyde Cooper; and a daughter, Sharon Pretzer.

She was affiliated with the Jehovah Witness church.

Survivors include four sons, David Cooper, Rickman, Doug Cooper, Warren, MI, Donald Cooper, Almont, MI, and Ricky Cooper, Troy, MI; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Rev. Robert Lee Dillon
Funeral services for Rev. Robert Lee Dillon, 70, of Algood, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2001, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Bro. J.C. Allen and Mike Buck officiating. Burial was in the Zion Hill cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Dillon died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a custodian at Tennessee Tech and served as a traveling Penecostal minister for 25 years.

Born September 29, 1930, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Willie and Sarah Jane (Cox) Dillon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vouge Dillon; two sisters, Vernie Lephew and Mary Lou Dillon; and a son-in-law, Terry Mark Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Jewel (Winningham) Dillon, Algood; a daughter, Patricia Hill, Algood; three sons, Rodger Lee Dillon, Kentucky, Kenny Charles Dillon Sr., Lebanon, and David C. Dillon Sr., Algood; a brother, George Dillon, Cookeville; a sister, Inez Harris, Jackson County; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Dillon, Jr., Robert Chad Dillon, Michael Judd, Brad Uphold, Tommy Knight, and Kenny Dillon Jr.

Johnnie Gradis Beaty
Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Gradis Beaty, 92, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2001, from the chapel of the Beaty Swamp Church in Monroe with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Burial was in the Beaty cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Beaty died Monday, February 5, 2001, at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA.

He was a veteran and a member of the Beaty Swamp Community Church.

Born January 9, 1909, in Fentress County, he was the son of the late William Robert and Hattie (Parris) Beaty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers, Homer Beaty, Ray Beaty, Dewell Beaty, Jewell Beaty, Conrad Beaty, Glenn Beaty, and Victor Beaty; and two sisters, Maudie Glover and Christine Little.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie (Hayden) Beaty, Monroe; a son, Harley Beaty, Battle Creek, MI; a daughter, Barbara Deiro, Battle Creek, MI; two step-daughters, Barbara Snider, Ohio, and Jeanne Osborn, Bakersfield, CA; two brothers, Willard Beaty, Trenton, FL, and Clinton Beaty, North Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters, Bessie Hargis, Battle Creek, MI, and Faye Badger, Springfield, IL; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dale Beaty, Donald Beaty, Bo Beaty, Bill Beaty, Shawn Brannon, and Kim Edwards.

Frankie Charles Ray
Funeral services for Mr. Frankie Charles Ray, 36, of Old Hickory, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2001, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home of Cookeville with Bro. Earl Williams officiating. Burial was in the Poplar Springs cemetery in Overton County with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ray died Saturday, February 10, 2001, at the U.T. Knoxville Medical Center.

He was a construction worker.

Born December 29, 1964, in Livingston, he was the son of Charles Edward Ray of Old Hickory and the late Glenda Ray. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tony D. Ray. Survivors, in addition to his father, include a brother, Loyd Edward "Ed" Ray, Nashville; three sisters, Kathy Kendall, Old Hickory, Joanie Smith, Franklin, KY, and Julie Thomas, Maynardville; and two nephews Joshua and Jake Kendall.

Roxie May Perkins
Funeral services for Mrs. Roxie May Perkins, 85, of Bloomington Springs, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2001, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home of Cookeville with Bro. Ken Burton officiating. Burial was in the Crest Lawn cemetery with Dyer Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Perkins died Wednesday, February 7, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker.

Born September 3, 1915, in Morgan County, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Dora Alice (Stacy) Peyton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Recie Clair Perkins.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Janie Perkins, Monroe; a daughter and son-in-law, Anna Marie and Raymond McCloud, Dearborn, Hts, MI; six grandchildren, James Michael Lykins, David Lawrence Lykins, Leigh Ann Metcalf, Kimberly Ann McNally, Leslie Lynn Pizzino, and Jason Garant Perkins; and eight great children, Leisha Lykins, Heather Metcalf, Tyler McNally, Leighanna Pizzino Maxwell, Samuel Pizzino, Isabella Pizzino, Justin Perkins, MacKinsy Perkins, and Zachary McNally. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Rosanna Baker
Graveside services for Mrs. Rosanna Baker, 79, of Algood, were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Bethlehem cemetery with Bro. Malcom Dulworth officiating. Livingston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Baker died Monday, July 22 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood. She was a homemaker and affiliated with Collegeside Church of Christ.

Born April 14, 1923, in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Laura Mae Pardue. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Lenora Ann West and Sharon Baker; and a sister.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Whisenant, New Market, AL; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a niece, Lavonna Deck, Livingston.

Serving as pallbearers were family members and friends of Mrs. Baker.

Mildred Louise Brewer
Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Louise Brewer, 74, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2002, from the chapel of Rickman-Hall Funeral Home with Danny Simpson and Bob Younkin officiating. Burial was in Turkey Town cemetery with Rickman-Hall Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Brewer died Wednesday, July 17 at her home. She was a member of Sulphur Community Church.

Born August 12, 1927, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Myrtle (Boles) Burks.

Survivors include her husband, Paris Brewer, Rickman; three sons, Paris Brewer Jr. and Randy Lynn Brewer, both of Rickman, and Roy Glen Brewer, Murfreesboro; two daughters, Lynda Gayle Nelson, Rickman, and Vickie Amy Brown, Smithville; a sister, Earl D. Burks, Rickman; 12 grandchildren; and two nephews, Charlie Thomas and Rodney Thomas. Pallbearers were Keith D. Brewer, Kevin D. Brewer, Matthew T. Brown, Brandon G. Brewer, Sam L. Nelson, and Codi C. Brewer. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Rod Thomas, Charles Thomas, Mark Poston, and Ray Shepard.

Billie L. Dishman
Mr. Billie L. Dishman, 70, of Nashville, MI, and formerly of Livingston, passed away Friday, June 14, 2002, at his home in Michigan. Burial was in Memorial Park in Battle Creek, MI.

Born November 17, 1931, in Livingston, he was the son of the late Gib E. and Winnie (Lawson) Dishman. He was the step-son of the late Audie (Bilbrey) Dishman Endsley. In addition to his parents and step-mother, he was preceded in death by a sister; and two brothers, Orbie D. Dishman and James Dishman. Mr. Dishman went to Battle Creek in 1945, where he was employed by V.A. Medical Center. He then went to work in 1968 at United Steel & Wire, retiring in 1991 due to illness. He was a member of Highway Holiness Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Dishman, Nashville; a daughter, Wilma Yepez, Nashville; four sons, David Dishman, Fairborn, OH, Billie Dishman Jr., Mainsville, OH, Daniel Dishman, Bronson, MI, and Tommy Dishman, Battle Creek; three step-daughters; four brothers and four sisters, Ecil Mangrum, Florida, Blenda "Mendy" Trevino, Carlene McBride, Rickman, Leonard Dishman, Pontiac, IL, Jeannie Kellogg, Battle Creek, Patsy A. Dishman, Algood, Ricky Dishman, Monterey, Willis Dishman, Battle Creek, and Carl Dishman, Benton; 32 grandchildren; and a great grandson.

Jack Donaldson
Funeral services for Mr. Jack Donaldson, 70, of Celina, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2002, from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home in Celina with Dennis Miller officiating. Burial was in Fitzgerald cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Donaldson died Friday, July 26 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina. He was a ranger for the Corps of Engineers and attended Moss Church of Christ. Born February 16, 1932, in Celina, he was the son of the late Willie 'Bill' Grace and Robert Lester Donaldson.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Donaldson, Celina; a son, Kevin Donaldson, Celina; a brother, William "Corky" Harold Donaldson, Celina; a sister, Robbie Dowell, Celina; and two grandchildren.

Howard D. Gibbons
Funeral services for Mr. Howard D. Gibbons, 85, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2002, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Wilson and Rev. A.C. Cobble officiating. Burial was in Hunter Cove cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Gibbons died Wednesday, July 24 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was a farmer, an aircraft factory worker, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a member of Bible Baptist Church in Rickman.

Born November 4, 1916, in Overton County, he was the son of the late John T. and Edna (Murphy) Gibbons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, May Gibbons.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Gibbons, Livingston; a sister, Marie Cobble, Morristown; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Kevin Carmack, Howard Hunter, Martin Hunter, Lowell Hunter, Larry Hunter, and Glenn Hunter.

Gary Ross Warren
Funeral services for Mr. Gary Ross Warren, 53, of Cookeville, were conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2002, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Bro. Clayton Lee Jr. officiating. Burial was in Smith Chapel cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Warren died Wednesday, July 24 at Nashville Veterans Hospital. He worked in aluminum siding sales and installation and was of the Baptist faith. He was a liver transplant patient in 1995, a past employee of Uniroyal Tire in Detroit, MI, an avid pool player, a veteran of Vietnam, and a member of Upper Cumberland Horseback Riders Club.

Born May 22, 1948, in Detroit, he was the son of the late Henry R. and Faye (Lawson) Warren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda (Glove) Warren.

Survivors include two sons, Timmy Warren and Gary R. Warren Jr., both of the Dodson Branch Community; two daughters, Teresa L. Warren and Roslyn A. Warren, both of the Dodson Branch Community; a sister, Gail DeSantis Paulus, Cookeville; six grandchildren, Nathan Carter, Kenen Carter, Marshel Zupancic, Justin Warren, Shelby Warren, and Taylor Warren; and a special friend, Denise Castello, Oak Park, MI.
