Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Brannon Roney, age 60, of Glasgow, KY, who passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in T.J. Samson Community Hospital, were conducted Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Smith officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Roney was a native of Madison County, AL, daughter of the late James Lee Brannon & the late Mary Maude Barnett Brannon, a dietary technician, a member of the Baptist Church and she enjoyed cooking and singing. Survivors include 2 daughters: Crissy Cook of Glasgow, KY, Tammy Robinson of Ashville, NC; 1 son: Chad Roney of Perry, FL; 2 grandchildren: Nathen Garrett, Meagan Cook; 2 step-grandchildren: Kasey Cook, Hayli Cook; 4 sisters: Faye Hollis, Velma Smith both of Fayetteville, TN, Marie Norris of Etowah, NC & Eunice Norris of Hendersonville, NC and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Donna Lynn Adkins, age 52, of Meridianville, AL, who passed away Thursday, March 17, 2005 at her residence, were conducted Saturday, March 19, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Donald Ramey officiating. Mrs. Adkins was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Jerry Wayne Winford & Beth Carter Winford, who surviveds, and she was in management for Goodyear/Dunlop. Survivors include 1 daughter: Brandy Gray Harrison & her husband: Trevor of Huntsville, AL; husband: Jackie Tiller of Meridianville, AL; mother: Beth Winford of Fayetteville, TN; brother: Mike Winford of Fayetteville, TN; 1 step-son: David Tiller of Huntsville, AL; 1 step-granddaughter: Alice Tiller. Funeral services for Mr. Leonard Childress, age 83, of Patrick Road, Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005 in Crestwood Medical Center, were conducted Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Childress was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Wesley Childress and the late Biddie Putman Childress, a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Lorene Childress; 1 sister: Elizabeth Barnes; 1 brother: Jimmy Childress all of Fayetteville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Mike Kolle
Funeral services for Mr. Mike Kolle, age 47, of Graham Road, Taft, TN, who passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005 in Huntsville Hospital, were conducted Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Lincoln and Bro. Bobby Powell officiating. Burial followed in Blanche Cemetery. Mr. Kolle was a native of Louisville, KY, son of Alvie Kolle & Jeanette Johns Kolle, who survive. He was a supervisor for Huntsville American Cabinets, a member of the Cash Point Baptist Church, loved to shoot skeet, was a bird hunter and a Tennessee football enthusiast. Along with his parents, Mr. Kolle is survived by his wife: Judy Kolle; 1 son: Brandon Kolle all of Taft, TN and special friends Dave & Jeri Pape of Huntsville, AL. Mrs. Evia Lee Mills
Funeral services for Mrs. Evia Lee Mills, age 80, of Church St., Petersburg, TN, who passed away Monday, March 21, 2005 in Lincoln Medical Center, were conducted Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Pete Crim officiating. Burial followed in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mrs. Mills was a native of Portland, TN, daughter of the late Joshua Woodard & the late Amanda Dickens Woodard. She worked on the assembly line for Genesco, and was a member of the Baptist Church. She resided in Gallatin until the age of 14 and then moved to Lincoln County. She operated a restaurant in the Fairview Community and she was a very giving and caring person. Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her husband: Ray 'Goober' Mills & 2 daughters: Carol Bartlett & Kim Barnes. Survivors include 5 grandchildren: Lanny Miles of Petersburg, TN, Robin Miles, Laura Longoria, Michelle Miles & Charles Miles all of Corpus Cristi, TX; 6 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Clayton Norman, age 78, of Kelso, TN, who passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Mr. Norman was a native of Lincoln County, son of the late Adie Lawrence & the late Laura Mae Simmons Norman, a post master for Kelso Post Office, he spoiled all children who entered the post office, enjoyed raising cattle and farming, loved his collie dog and was a former all-state basketball player for Central High School and starred at MTSU, and was a member of the Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife: Bernice Norman; 2 daughters: Diane Brown & Beverly Kent all of Kelso, TN; Diemer C. Norman, Jr. of Flintville, TN; 1 brother: Lawrence Norman of Springfield, TN; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
