James Allen Arrington officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Plevna, AL. Mr. Sneed was a native of Madison County, AL, son of the late Searcy Warner Sneed & the late Nola Vaughn Sneed, a salesman for NAPA Auto Parts, a member of the Lincoln Methodist Church, an Army veteran, a NASCAR enthusiast and a Ford lover. Along with his parents, Mr. Sneed was preceded in death by 1 brother: Cecil Sneed & his step-mother: Evie Mildred Sneed. Survivors include his wife: Marion Sneed of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters: Terry & Jerry McGehee of Flintville, TN, Tracie & Howard Pitts of Taft, TN, Tammy & Heath Mullins of Camargo, TN; 1 son: Bill & DeeDee Sneed of Fayetteville, TN; 8 grandchildren: Braden & Mason Mullins, Amber McGehee, Casey McGehee, Heather Pitts, Halie Pitts, Mary Beth Sneed & Morgan Sneed; 1 half-brother: Bobby Sneed of New Market, AL. Visitation with the family was held Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Anneva Holland

Funeral services for Mrs. Anneva Holland, age 62, of Philpot Road, Ardmore, TN, who passed away Sunday, November 21, 2004 in Huntsville Hospital, were conducted Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Clutts & Rev. Jason Moore officiating. Burial followed in New Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Holland was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Henry Herman Counts & the late Margie Wells Counts, a housewife, a member of the New Grove Baptist Church, a Sunday School teacher and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, quilting and making wicker baskets. Along with her parents, Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by 1 son: Timothy Scott Holland in 1989 & 1 sister: Virginia Ward. Survivors include her husband: Jimmy Holland of Ardmore, TN; 1 daughter: Melissa & Terry Mitchell of White House, TN; 2 granddaughters: Rachel Mitchell & Alesha Mitchell; 2 sisters: Laura Goosby of Fayetteville, TN, Marie Walker of Pelham, AL; 3 brothers: Barkley Counts, Lawson Counts both of Fayetteville, TN, Lonnie Counts of Flintville, TN. Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Malcolm L. 'Moe' Bates

Funeral services for Mr. Malcolm L. 'Moe' Bates, age 75, of Hopkins Rd., Taft, TN, who passed away Sunday, December 5, 2004 in Lincoln Care Center, were conducted Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Turner officiating. Burial followed in Kirkland Cemetery. Mr. Bates was a native of Winchester, TN, son of the late Leonard Bates & the late Hallie Mae Mitchell Bates, a farmer, an Army veteran, a member of the Heritage Baptist Church, he had a love of horses, trail rides with kids & grandkids, wagon rides, showing at horse show competition, love of hogs, pigs & a general love of farming. Along with his parents, Mr. Bates was preceded in death by 1 son: Malcolm Leon Bates; 3 sisters: Vennie Taylor-Smith, Lillie Richardson & Opal Frier; 5 brothers: Nolan Bates, James Bates, Lester Bates, Eugene Bates, & E.W. Bates. Survivors include his wife: Lucy Bates of Taft, TN; 2 daughters: Lisa Lock of Shelbyville, TN, Patricia Carol Francis of Punta Gorda, FL; 2 sons: Kenneth Bates of Hohenwald, TN, Michael Anthony Bates of Shelbyville, TN; 1 step-son: Tim Richardson of Taft, TN; 3 sisters: Martha Cassey of Estill Springs, TN, Juanita Rogers of Mulberry, TN, Faye Neil of Tullahoma, TN; 1 brother: John Bates of Lynchburg, TN; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was conducted Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Raymond Harris

Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Harris, age 85, of Snow Rd., Flintville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2004 in Lincoln Skill Care Center, were conducted Friday, December 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Guthrie & Rev. Billy Langford officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery. Mr. Harris was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Hosea Harris & the late Alda Mae Norman Harris, a contractor for NASA, a WWII Army veteran, and a member of the Flintville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Rachel Harris of Flintville, TN; 2 daughters: Kay Bledsoe of Kelso, TN, Kathy Morris of Huntland, TN; 2 step-daughters: Donna Sisk of Siberia, IN, Pam Hoolihan of Port Richey, FL; 1 step-son: David Cook of Hazel Green, AL; 4 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 15 step-great grandchildren & 2 step-great-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Rev. Edward Lee

Funeral services for Rev. Edward Lee, age 84, of Inverness, FL, formerly of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, December 20, 2004 in Citrus Health & Rehab, were conducted Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Don Russell & Dr. Eric Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Charity Cemetery. Rev. Lee was a native of Decatur, AL, son of the late Paul H. Lee, Sr. & the late Pearlie Carter Lee, a Baptist minister and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Idella Lee of Inverness, FL; 2 daughters: Delores 'Dee' Williams of Inverness, FL, Brenda & Jim Taylor of Lebanon, TN; 1 brother: Paul, Jr. & Bobbie Lee of Hartselle, AL; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held Wednesday, evening from 2 until 9 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Velma Shubert

Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Shubert, age 90, of Bill Abbey Rd., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, December 20, 2004 in Donalson Care Center, were conducted Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev Billy Langford & Rev. Jason Guthrie officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery. Mrs. Shubert was a native of Marshall County, AL, daughter of the late Samuel David Wright & the late Josie Minor Wright, a nurse with the Lincoln County Hospital and a member of the Flintville 1st Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Shubert was preceded in death by her husband: Edd Shubert in 1987; 1 son: Jerry Shubert; step-mother: Lorena Frances Wright; 1 brother: S.J. Wright of Belvidere. Survivors include: 4 daughters: Jean Whitaker of Joelton, TN, Jody Moore of Fayetteville, TN, Wilma Cashion of Murfreesboro, TN, & Joyce Plunkett of Flintville, TN; 2 sisters: Burma Richardson of Chattanooga, TN, Vernell Stiles of Huntland, TN; 9 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Miss Virgie M. Sisk

Funeral services for Miss Virgie M. Sisk, age 81, of Boonshill Rd., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, December 23, 2004 in Donalson Care Center, were conducted Monday, December 27, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Joe Wayne McGee officiating. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery. Miss Sisk was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late William Daniel Sisk & the late Maggie Lee Meeks Sisk, a clipper for S & M Mfg. Co., and a member of the Harms Church of Christ. Survivors include 2 sisters: Florence McGee, Betty Burton both of Fayetteville, TN & several nieces & nephews. Visitation with the family was held Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Ray V. 'Goober' Mills

Funeral services for Mr. Ray V. 'Goober' Mills, age 69, of Church St., Petersburg, TN, who passed away Sunday, December 26, 2004 in Kendrick Care at Bourdeaux in Nashville, TN, were conducted Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Pete Crim officiating. Burial followed in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Mills was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Roy Mills & the late Sophie Hale Mills, a carpenter, a member of the Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife: Evia Mills of Petersburg, TN; 3 grandsons: Lannie Mills of Petersburg, TN, Robin Mills, Charles Mills both of Corpus Christi, TX; 2 granddaughters: Laura Longoria, Michelle Mills both of Corpus Christi, TX; 1 brother: Bill & Dorothy Mills of Shelbyville, TN; 6 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren & several nieces and nephews. Ray Plunkett, age 83, of Vann Town Road, Flintville, TN, who passed away Monday, January 3, 2005 in Crestwood Medical Center, were conducted Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Martin, Rev. Jason Guthrie and Dr. Noel Walker officiating. Burial followed in Lincoln Cemetery. Rev. Plunkett was a native of Boaz, AL, son of the late Lundy Jackson Plunkett & the late Josie Thrasher Plunkett, a farmer & minister and a WWII Army veteran. Along with his parents, Rev. Plunkett was preceded in death by 1 son: Jerry Plunkett; 1 grandson: Blake Durham & 2 brothers: Jay & Adell Plunkett. Survivors include his wife: Lois Plunkett; 1 daughter: Carol Durham; 1 son: Bobby Plunkett; 4 grandchildren: Eddie Plunkett, Leah Plunkett, Marti Crabtree, Wade Durham; 3 sisters: Jewel Jones, Wilma Quick all of Flintville, TN, Eunice Slayton of Elora, TN; 3 brothers: Paskel Plunkett of Hazel Green, AL, Kenneth Plunkett of Thatch, AL, & Joe Plunkett of Huntland, TN and 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Alvie W. Travis

Jason Guthrie and Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery. Mr. Travis was a native of Madison County, AL, son of the late Alvie Floyd Travis & the late Lizzie Allen Stone Travis, an auto body mechanic, an Army Air Force veteran, a member of the Flintville Baptist Church and a member of the Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge #68. Survivors include his wife: Roberta Travis of Flintville, TN; 2 daughters: Denise Counts of Winchester, TN, Teresa Morris of Antioch, TN; 2 sons: Donnie Travis of Elora, TN, Lance Travis of Arab, AL; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Renee Mowery

Funeral services for Mrs. Renee Mowery, age 29, of Desoto St., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2005 in Centennial Medical Center, were conducted Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Moore officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mowery was a native of Huntsville, AL, daughter of James C. & Sue Elrod Rinehart both of Fayetteville, TN, who survive. Along with her parents, she is survived by 1 son: Christopher Robert Rinehart of Fayetteville, TN; 4 half-brothers: Danny Ray Rinehart, James C. Rinehart III both of Elora, TN, Donovan Mise, James Kenneth Mise both of Las Vegas, NV; grandparents: Jean McAlister of Hazel Green, AL, Lewis Elrod of South Pittsburg, TN, Christine Rinehart of Etowah, TN. Visitation with the family was held Saturday from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kathleen Jeans Poe

Funeral services for Mrs. Kathleen Jeans Poe, age 88, of Elkton Pike, Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Saturday, January 15, 2005 in Lincoln Care Center, were conducted Monday, January 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. graveside in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. David Wall officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Poe was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Oscar Bright Patrick and the late Rosie Land Patrick, a seamstress for Serbin Fashions, and a member of the Marble Plain Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Poe was preceded in death by her husbands: Robert Melvin Jeans in 1961 and Clyde Poe in 1998. Survivors include 1 son: Wayne Jeans; 1 step-daughter: Judith Shelton; 2 sisters: Odell Patrick, Ozell Warren; 1 brother: Lawrence Patrick all of Fayetteville, TN; 3 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Bill Suddarth offficiating. Burial followed in Blanche Cemetery. Mrs. Swinford was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Isom Newton Hopkins & the late Clara Williamson, a seamstress for Blue Ridge Shirt Factory and a member of the Blanche United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Swinford was preceded in death by her husband: Sidney Herman Swinford in 1978; and 1 son: Richard E. Swinford in 1987. Survivors include 1 grandson: James R.
