He also leaves 6 grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, June 20 from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. at Memorial Park. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 19 at Memorial Park.

Margaret Shirley Marsh, age 79, widow of Gene Marsh and long time resident of Memphis, Tennessee, died Thursday, June 16th. Born in Middleton, Tennessee, the daughter of Marlett and Nettie Russell, she moved to Memphis shortly after her graduation from Middleton High School. In Memphis, she was employed by Gerbers Department Store prior to her marriage in 1947. After their marriage she assisted her husband in their business Park Avenue Electric Company of Memphis and Marsh Electric Company in the Bahamas, Aruba, and Cayman Islands. She is survived by her brothers Raymond (Sue) Russell and Johnny (Beverly) Russell, her son Russell (Beverly) Marsh, her daughter Pixie Marsh Wright, and stepsons Larry and Jack Marsh. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In the later years of her life, she resided with her granddaughter Heather Wright Shelton. Funeral services for Mrs. Marsh will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral home- Poplar Chapel. John Eugene Bustard, Sr., age 79, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born November 28, 1925 in Memphis, remaining in Memphis most of his life, moving to Oliver Springs in 2003. He was employed by the South Central Bell Telephone Company for 35 years, retiring in 1981. He was also a member of South Central Bell Pioneers. Mr. Bustard was of the Catholic faith.Preceded in death by parents, John Henry & Louise Kelly Bustard. He is survived by five children: Suzanne Porteous & husband, John of Oliver Springs, John E. Bustard, Jr. & wife, Brenda of Memphis, Michael Kelly Bustard of Annapolis, Maryland, Robert A. Bustard of Memphis, and Cathleen Bustard Dillingham & husband, Jarvis of Collierville; four grandchildren: Trisha Fletcher, Bobby Bustard, Monica Bustard, and Elise Dillingham; and two great-grandchildren: Sarah Willingham and Ensley Fletcher. He is also survived by his sister: Frances Wahl of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Memphis, Tennessee. Bennett and a brother Ralph Provow; 9 grandchildren, Theron, Jason, Mark, Brant and Jake Ruff; Brad Swiggart , Lori Graraffa, Ali Gladney and Ben Bingham; eleven great grandchildren Kelly, Taylor, Erin, Sara, Alex, Houston and Jessica Ruff; Talia, Lucia Joseph Garaffa IV and Keirsten Gladney.

MILDRED MITCHELL ALLEN, 97, retired concert pianist and teacher, formerly of Memphis, died Wednesday at Mountain Trace Nursing Facility in Sylva, North Carolina. A virtuoso pianist of the Romatic tradition, Mrs. Allen was an active performer and influential teacher for over 52 years. She was a student of Mary Bolling Chapman and Theodore Bohlmann, founder of the Memphis College of Music. The widow of Paul Jackson Allen, she lived in Robbinsville, NC. She leaves a son, Robert Jackson Allen, with whom she lived in Robbinsville, a daughter, LaVerne Allen Rhoades of Kent, Washington; 2 granddaughters, Melinda Fields of Hampton, CT, and Emily Fields of Memphis, a grandson Murray Allen Fields of Memphis, a sister Peggy Rhodes of Ashville, NC, and a brother Bond Mitchell of Austin, TX. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Beethoven Club of Memphis.
