Services will be at noon today at Fredonia Baptist Church in Stanton, where he was a deacon, with burial at 11 a.m. Monday in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery in Memphis. Palmer Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran and recipient of a National Defense medal. Mr. Middlebrooks, the husband of Ruby Harville Middlebrooks, also leaves a daughter, Colissia Barbee of Mason; two sons, Mark Edwin Middlebrooks and Eric Devon Middlebrooks, both of Memphis; a sister, Bertha M. Langdon of Glendale, Wis.; four brothers, Wendell Middlebrooks of Nashville, Guinn A. Middlebrooks of Brown Deer, Wis., Billy Wayne Middlebrooks of Belvidere, Ill., and Carey A. Middlebrooks of Mason, and two grandchildren.

Fred Binkley Peek, 80, of Germantown, retired from BellSouth after 30 years, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with burial at 1 p.m. Tuesday in West Tennessee Veterans cemetery. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member and Sunday school teacher at Germantown Baptist Church. Mr. Peek, the husband of JoAnn Peek, also leaves a daughter, Sharron Camp of Lakeland, and two granddaughters.

Diamond Reed, 85, of Memphis, retired chef, died Wednesday at Methodist University Hospital. Iva Stewart, 84, of Memphis, former employee of United Cab Co., died April 30 at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Vollintine Baptist Church, where she was church secretary for 56 years and announcer for the radio broadcast, with burial in New Park cemetery. N.J. She was founder of the Rose Fields Women's Auxiliary and a member of the Inspirational Mass Choir, Radio Choir, Song Birds of the South, James Cleveland Workshop Choir and Twelve Ladies Social Club.
