Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lindenwood Christian Church, where he was a deacon, with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a graduate of Rhodes College and Vanderbilt University Law School and a member of Memphis Bar Association. Mr. Gwinn, the widower of Virginia Gwinn, leaves a daughter, Janice Roberts of Brighton; a son, Bill Gwinn of Brentwood, Tenn.; two sisters, Agnes Gwinn Shelton and Margaret Dell Gwinn, both of Memphis, and two grandchildren. Elizabeth 'Bette' Howitt, 87, of Memphis, homemaker, died Saturday at her home.
